Guest Reviews
- RWBruijn (9/5): A quiet property in a great location with beautiful Murray Mouth views - We had a lovely stay. The location was fantastic, with beautiful views of the Murray River from all the front rooms and front deck. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of supplies, including oil, salt, pepper, and sugar, as well as others, which isn’t always provided at properties, and was really appreciated. The house was clean, comfortable, and situated in a quiet location, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. Beautiful sunsets! There wasn’t really anything we disliked about the property.
- Anja (10/5): - Wunderschönes Haus mit zwei grossen Terassen zum Entspannen, es hat alles was man braucht, besonders für alle die gern Ruhe möchten, wir konnten Delphine sehen

- Rod (9/5): A Perfect Location on the Beautiful Coorong - The prevailing reason to choose this accommodation is location. Let me say that again. Location. You will not beat it in the Coorong. When we weren't out and about, we spent five days gazing out of the window or on the verandah, absolutely mesmerized by the view and the amazing wildlife that would regularly pay us a visit. If you like to watch pelicans and seals, choose this place. We found the accommodation comfortable, and really liked the little retreat out the back which had a good supply of games. The Coorong Cafe is just around the corner if you're wanting a feed of fish and chips. You'll also find canoe hire at the same location. I highly recommend getting out onto the water. You are in nature here, so there can be ants. The kitchen doesn't have a pantry, so we had to be careful with keeping food out on the benches. Certainly not a deal breaker. Just be sensible with food storage (we weren't on one occasion). Seal everything tightly and you won't be bothered.
- Jane (7/5): Was nevertheless a pleasant stay with very comfy beds and lovely views. - Very comfortable beds and couches. Lovely views.
Nice location. Nice to have two living areas and books there. There were dirty dishes and cutlery in cupboard -( and ants in kitchen which we understand can happen in regional places) but dirty plates in cupboard may not have helped. Bedside lamps on both sides of bed would have been good ( only in one side in our room) “Wood fire” advertised as highlight of house but only a very small starter kit with enough wood to start up fire was given - - we would have brought wood from home had we been forewarned. Some maintenance issues with windows ( hard to open) and main door. Doormats would have been good. There was muddy footprints all over verandah when we arrived. Frying pan was thick with rust/ built on burnt bits and unusable.
- Kylie (10/5): Relaxing family holiday by the water. - The location was excellent near the water and the family enjoyed fishing from the jetty.
Facilities were excellent.
The heating kept the house warm and we enjoyed the log fire in the cold weather. Nothing
- Joe (8/5): Unfortunately we arrived in bad weather but enjoyed our stay - The wonderful views and comfortable facilities. As the house has obviously dropped, we were unable to lift door to open. Mark from Harris rentals came very quickly to help. Had to use alternate door during our stay.
- Giulietta (8/5): A retreat like no other! - The location and access to the personal pier was amazing! The views were incomparable! The accommodation had everything you needed, we will certainly be back!! A couple of maintenance issues! The door required a bit of strength to get into as it needed to be repaired - I couldn’t do it, lucky I had my husband! The kitchen sink needs some plumbing attention, it didn’t drain well which made washing up pretty gross!
- Denise (4/5): Disappointing -
- Teresa (10/5): Relaxing and comfortable - The view, the lovely house, comfortable beds, 2 toilets and bathrooms. 2 living areas…. One is great for kids/teenagers to chill out after a day of fishing off the private jetty
- Kit (8/5): We had a lovely week despite the issues I have mentioned. The bird life is amazing and lovely to watch them all feeding - The house was in a fabulous position although as we were with a large group the drive home at night was stressful due to all the kangaroos. There are a few things regarding the house that need to be updated. The door was extremely hard to open, the washing machine door was also very difficult. The toilets could also do with an update… cracked and very old.
- Colleen (7/5): Very relaxing. - Location, view, bird life, amenities, spaciousness. Needed some maintenance, windows cleaned etc.
- Friederika (9/5): Beautiful Beladura Location - The accommodation was clean, spacious, comfortable and extremely well-located. The 3 bedrooms, 2 lounges, kitchen and back and front deck offered very generous spaces in which to enjoy the gorgeous location.
Communication with host was professional and good. For a price of $300--plus per night, towels and bathmats should be included.
- Styles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - What a charming house right on the Goolwa channel with amazing views out the window of the Murray Mouth as well as birdlife and even dolphins.
