Guest Reviews
- Anastasia (7/5): Disappointed... - Good location. Dirty (floors, walls). And the bathroom/laundry photos don't match the actual accommodation (see actual pictures attached) Was a shock and upsetting when we arrived.
- Peter (7/5): Very comfortable and served the purpose for which we stayed. - Location was good for the reason we stayed. Bath taps were jammed and the cold one leaking.
Bath room could do with a heater.
- HSIN YI (10/5): -
- Alana (8/5): Comfortable - Lounge, kitchen and dinning were a nice comfortable size. Bedrooms good size and beds very comfortable (loved the pillows so much that I went out and bought me one). Location was perfect, close to everything. Shower head has obviously been upgraded as other reviews were quite negative of the water pressure, apart from the rundown bathroom I found the shower pressure perfect. Carport too low, lucky my 4wd is a standard height, any higher and would have hit the roof. Aircon system outside in carport leaves little room to open car doors. Laundry and bathroom in need of an urgent upgrade. Back yard can do with some gardens and outdoor setting to make a comfortable relaxing area.
- Haydon (10/5): -
- philip (5/5): - Was ok.. Awful shower but at least had a bath instead.
In need of some tlc.
- Libby (7/5): - The shower was very weak, with low water flow.
- Penny (7/5): Wasn’t a bad place to stay. If they got a nice outdoor setting outside and got a better shower head it would be great - Inside was clean and tidy and had everything we needed Nowhere comfortable to sit out the back. Only an old wooden table and bench.
The shower was terrible. Not much water came out of shower head as the holes were blocked.
- Junming (9/5): A nice renovated place, definitely worth staying -
- Olivia (6/5): - Great location
Well equipped kitchen The bathroom photos are deceptive. The shower flooring is v uneven.
- NAI-CHUNG (8/5): -
- Dwanna (10/5): -
- Sabina (9/5): -
- Jeanette (3/5): This property needs an urgent update…..the bathroom is hazardous due to uneven surface and unhygenic due to tiling / - The kitchen and dining areas was well appointed and the air con and TV worked well.
Linen was clean and welcome snacks provided. The outside areas were completely barren and no garden at all. The bathroom floor was in very poor condition and uneven with floor tiling which had been painted over and paint now peeling. Laundry and toilet floor also in poor condition. No screens on bedroom windows meaning windows could not be left open,
- Gracelyn (10/5): - Perfect location and beautiful town with only a five minute walk to the beach was the best part of the stay😊
- Hayley (8/5): Great value for money - Comfortable advice , money , it was comfortable and good value for money. Add six were little part of the dining room.
- Kerry (8/5): -
- John (8/5): -
- Chris (4/5): Overall, I feel let down by the venue, the location is ideal but its shortcomings is hardly ideal. - Location ideal convenient for short walk into town. The living room space was visually appealing. The beds were comfortable. The lack of cleaning products such as toilet cleaner and dishwashing liquid which made us have to purchase cleaning products was disappointing as a lot of money was already invested in renting the place. The first bedroom bedding had not been cleaned as I received multiple bites and scabs as my visit ended.
- Karyn (8/5): It was great. - The location was great, an easy walk to centre of town/esplanade. The house was roomy with everything we needed. Not particularly a big deal for us, however some aspects while totally functional are getting a bit tired - eg. bathroom, laundry.
- Kevin (10/5): Great place great location. - Nice little unit a short walk from the main high street with plenty of restaurants and shops. The team running the unit were very communicative, could not asked for a better hosting. Nothing was wrong
- Maureen (10/5): - Clean, quiet and comfortable. Shower was a bit dodgy
- Paula (9/5): -
- Geoffrey (8/5): had a great week will stay again - would definitely stay again BUT the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. you either have to have a chat to your cleaner or more inspections or a new cleaner.
- chriscra (10/5): -
- Karyl (7/5): -
- kim (1/5): - Closeness to town Where does one start?
The fact that I contacted the owner and Booking.com.
The coroded stove top that makes it a fire hazard or the filthy oven (photos supplied).
The garbage bin full from previous tenants that stunk as you passed each time, or the dirty fridge and bbq.
Wished I had read the reviews prior on this one.
Shower requires a makeover and hot water is definitely not hot. Outside area equivalent to a run down back alley.
Charged $140 for cleaning. I expect that to be refunded in the very least.
Photo of property is definitely deceptive advertising. It's NOT what you are getting.
- Aaron (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- Elaine (8/5): Very good -
- Chee (2/5): Had worst experience staying here and i really regret to book 2 nights stay here - the location is fine and located close to city centre Found 2 cockcroaches upon checking in the property. Once turned on the light at kitchen, saw one, and when my wife walked to toilet and thought to use the toilet after long journey from Pinnacles. When she turned on the light saw another one. really terrified her and my kids. Requested to take action either to change to another property but no other properties available. The owner informed that someone or cleaner would prepare insect spray next day but no one sent too. Total got 4 cockcroaches in 2 nights stay. the cleanliness really bad.
- Dan (7/5): Good - Was all good except the washers need to be changed in the bathroom.
The water was leaking the whole time .
Expensive for you
Annoying for me
20 minute job
- Lean (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lambie (2/5): Really disappointing - The new beds The house had not been cleaned, aircon was full of black mold. Some facilities unusable because of how dirty they where and also had to get the cleaner to come back
- Paula (5/5): Passable - Location. Good working air con. Fans in bedrooms. Outdoor area needs a tidy and maintenance. No clothes line or shower curtain.
The bedding was limited. It was extremely hot during our stay and it would have been nice to have a top sheet for comfort as it was too hot for the doona.
- Rachael (1/5): Dirty, run down. - They had a washer and dryer so I could wash and dry the towels and bedding before I used them because judging by the state of everything else in the house i couldn’t guarantee that they had been cleaned. The property is so filthy and rundown. The photos are misleading as all areas and furniture is worn out and dirty. It was so dirty. It really needs a deep clean, even with an emergency cleaner call out the property was still in a gross state. When we arrived there were boogies on the bedroom walls, stained bedding. Brown marks and insert droppings everywhere. Dirty dishes in the cupboards with hairs in the and mess in the cupboards. Microwave was filthy. Toilet hadn’t been cleaned and dead cockroaches in the bedroom. Very obvious that it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. This property should be removed and I have lost faith in booking.com if they allow this disgusting property.
- Samir (4/5): Disappointing - Smelly towels. Shower head kept dripping continuosly even when taps turmed off completely. No lock on toilet door.
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Beverly (6/5): Adequate - House inside delightful / clean Lock box difficult/ garden awful/ shower tap dripping/ tap outside dripping
- Giuseppina (10/5): great for a quick hassle free stay, great amenities and we weren’t hassled by the owners on a busy trip with fam - was great and comfy clean and a safe homely environment
- Nicola (5/5): Needs attention and detail to cleaning - Nice living area and bedrooms decorated well. The BBQ was not clean. The air conditioner needed service as there was a lot of mould. Lawns were nonexistent and dirty windows with no fly screens. Shower and laundry need upgrading. As well as oven.
- Pritchard (9/5): Cosy and easy to city centre -
- Peter (8/5): Very peaceful -
- Margaret (4/5): Very disappointed - Garden was overgrown and a mess, BBQ filthy, cups were stained, only one tea towel, which was smelly had to wash it before use, not a dish cloth, or soap in toilet area. The pictures and description of the property gave a false impression. Food left in cupboards in open packaging, who knows how long It had been there. It needs to improve.
- Jillian (5/5): It was clean and comfortable but could of been a bit better with a few extra details - Location was good Wasn’t enough hot water or hot enough water for 4 people.
Needed a top sheet on the bed
Not enough cutlery for 4 people.
- Daini (10/5): We had a very comfortable stay and the accommodation suited our needs - Clean and comfortable and the host was easily contactable. Good location close to town Rear Yard is overgrown and not secure so if you have children they can’t play out side
- Racquel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (6/5): We stayed near Geraldton centre. - Close to City centre. Living areas were pleasant and recently updated. Wifi good. Wet areas need updating. Outside was unkempt.
- Neville (9/5): Superb - It was very convenient to the town. The accommodation was a great place to stay. We would stay again if in Geraldton. As 3 seniors, the seating was difficult for relaxing. One of us had to always sit on dining chair with cushions for comfort. The other 2 put pillows on lounge for comfort and to be able to get up again.
We did feel that the grounds could have been better/tidier.
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (9/5): Apart from the water the sat was great - N/A The hot water was below the temperature it should have been we had tp add boiled water from the kettle when we wanted hot water
- Adam (8/5): It was perfect for the 2 night that it was required for - The locations was good
The overall inside was fresh, clean and modern. The BBQ wasn't very clean not suitable to use.
Paint peeling of the floor in the bathroom and laundry.
Kitchen sink has no drying area so its causing the bench top to bubble/warp from the water
- Cathy (5/5): Passable - Space in the living area, access to clothes horse, close to shops and beach Toilet paper was ridiculously thin, lack oh hot water, no tea towel
- Richard (7/5): Good - Close to town. Big living area
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kian (7/5): Reasonable for the price paid - Easy to find location - close to eateries and shopping area The utensils are old n look dirty. The noise from bed springs as you toss and turn.
- Kim (5/5): Didn't appreciate having to clean everything before using it. - Good location close to everything All the glasses were dirty, and cutlery, also old TV sitting on lounge floor and sheets still drying in dryer , bathroom floor needs painting as do shower tiles.and the shower wasn't hot, also being restricted on how long to have a shower before water ran out.
- Martin (4/5): Disappointing - It's a very nice setup Hot water not hot, dishes still wet in draws
A/C filter blocked, dryer full with sheets n filter blocked
- Michael (9/5): perfect work stay environment. close to all necessities. - location was close to all the things we were interested in. nothing was all perfect.
- Joanne (7/5): Good - Property was well located a short distance to Main Street, shops and other attractions.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (5/5): Disappointing experience. - Spacious home. Comfortable beds. Probably a nice property at one time but not now. Lots of things to fix- peeling and chipped paint, multiple chipped ceramic tile in shower area, missing paint on concrete floors, ripped curtains, rusted surfaces on stove burners. Cleaning also needs to be improved- lots of dust on exhaust fan covers, on back of tv set, in cupboards, etc. Also rodent problems. Was told that pest control people were in a week or so before our arrival. Might be working but we had to clean up mouse droppings in cupboards in the bathroom, living room and bedroom.
- John (10/5): Comfortable 2 bedroom house in a good location. - We liked its location and that it was clean, tidy and comfortable. Nothing really. Milk in the fridge would have been nice.
- Ian (9/5): Excellent stay, thank you. Centrally located with all amenities required. Plenty of clean towels. - The property was clean and very well located. Easy to contact the owner when necessary. Couldn't figure out the TV! I could only find 2 channels.
Shower head dripped.
- Xianfei (8/5): Good location. I’m happy with the price - They provided new set of pot after I told them the pots are broken Bathroom floor looks old and shower tap hard to turn off and after tuning off still dropping water
- Hodge (5/5): Good location but few faults with the facilities - Good location Oven didn’t work when we arrived, required an electrician
- Tayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (9/5): Warm and homely, will look to stay again - Was so much nicer staying in a home rather than a hotel room. Very close to the main strip and the owners were fantastic and super helpful. The inside of the property felt like it was new and recently refurbished and and all homely amenities. Didn’t feel like I was just another guest checking and checking out. The whole property felt very new, modern and seemed to be recently refurbished apart from the shower and laundry.
- Kane (8/5): Owner was super nice and responsive, Everything was great! 👍 - Lovely house feels like home. Part of our luggage’s on the floor were chewed by the rodent.
- Mwangi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivy (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (2/5): Disappointed - Location I was about 10 min away from the center The property was generally worn out and dirty. The rug in the living room was very dirty, the garden cannot be used as it was not maintained, the garden barbecue is covered in spider web all over and it does not have gas. Entire property had the windows were very dirty, kitchen chairs are sticky. The curtains had 20cm holes in them and were tear. The worse part is that it is infested with cockroaches and as someone else was mentioning in the previous comments, in the kitchen area a mouse is living. This property should be taken out from Booking until all problems are resolved.
- Brianwh (6/5): Too far from the beach and town. We had to hire taxis to go anywhere. - The living area the bed rooms. T The shower floor slopped and was difficult to manage for us elderly people. We didn’t have ice cube trays. The temperature was 37 degrees. The stove top was very dirty and we had to clean it.
- Peter (9/5): Very comfortable - Location to town Security light from the house/shed behind
- Walter (6/5): Pleasant - Location Torn curtains ( poor first impression). Poor clothes drying facilities, clothes dryer filter filthy
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- Lizette (4/5): disappointing - the mattress was comfortable. pretty much everything unfortunately!
no lock up space for cars overnight safety - when I messaged to enquire on this, I got no response.
"no cancellation" on the booking from the get-go should have been the indicator for me
the linen (bedding/towels/pillows) - smelt oily/dirty.
I was messaged by property to tell me I'd left a top behind - that was there when we checked in .... so that indicates the attention to detail is VERY POOR!
towel rail fell to pieces when we pulled our towel off to shower
the amenities left to use (hand wash) was refilled to a minimum with some gluggy stuff that wouldn't even pump out the pump!
some windows (quite a few) had no window coverings/blinds to close at nighttime leaving you feeing completely exposed to the road/passersby - didn't feel like a great part of town with stray shopping trolleys etc dumped next to property.
sheer curtains of front window were ripped and some of the previous tears were just taped together.
tv remote didn't work.
aircon unit switched on but didn't work.
will never recommend or return to this property.
- Ying (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Timmins (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nifae (5/5): Passable - Location was close to town and a quiet neighbourhood. On our second night we found a mouse running around the bedroom, needless to say that we promptly packed up and left early. Shower floor is very curved and steep so be careful if you are unstable on your feet as you will fall over. Outside area could be improved for entertaining purposes. Wouldn't stay here again because of the mouse. Never hand that problem anywhere else we've stayed.
- Lim (8/5): Comfortable and Value for money - Stay like own home ! Great location and convenient parking lot
- Kira (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (7/5): enjoyable - clean tidy shower
- Noel (8/5): enjoyed our stay - comfortable couch , TV, clean outside could have been a bit more inviting, misleading distance from town,
- Onah (7/5): Good -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - A spacious and clean home perfect for a family or couple spending time in town Bed was very firm and uncomfortable
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (8/5): It was a good stay, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. - It was neat, well equipped and in a great location, so good that I wanted to extend my stay 😊 There many little bugs, especially at night, throughout the house but mostly in the room closest to the bathroom. It may be normal for the area and I’m not familiar with the area.
- Amy (8/5): Great location and nice property. - Good location. Driveway was useful. Bits of the bathroom and toilet floor peeled off on my feet. The garden would have been better with some chairs/loungers.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (5/5): Did the job - No gas for Webber no bbq facilities! cooking facilities. Very minimal
Only small double beds and hard mattress
- Davidson (10/5): Would recommend and return - Very well set up -loved the little biscuits gii Couldn't open the windows so it was a bit stuffy in the daytime
- Mohd (9/5): Superb -
