Guest Reviews
- Mencia (9/5): Great place! - Wonderful apartment to stay during your trip to London, súper grateful to the owner for his dedication and how attentive he has been to meet all our needs, I am really happy with the accommodation The bathroom did not have a mirror, which was a bit inconvenient when brushing your teeth, putting on makeup, applying skincare or combing your hair after a shower, as you had to use the mirror in the hallway or the one in the individual rooms
- Стоянова (8/5): Very good - The location is great, very close to the Whitechapel metro station and therefore London Bridge and many other attractions. Good WiFi connection and Netflix were available. The heating was good too. Utensil, bathroom necessities were also available. Wasn't the cleanest when we arrived had to clean ourselves, the stove didn't work and got no answer from the host when I asked. The coffee machine works with filters that you can't find or buy anywhere...The window in the kitchen is a nightmare to close. The adapters for the chargers took a lot of adjusting so we could charge our phones. Only one toilet paper roll for 5 people for a week, had to buy more ourselves. The front door touch screen takes several tries to unlock.
- Filipe (7/5): Good - the home heating is good. Beds are OK. Cleaning overall could be better.. poor apartment.
A bit far away from he subway if you have children.
- Selene (7/5): Good - The apartment is in a nice position: near the metro but in a quiet street.
The beds were quite comfy and the rooms warm. The bathroom is really small. The apartment overall needs a refresh.
My mum lamented a lingering smell of mould
- Anand (6/5): Overall fair - Inside was clean and comfortable- though the staircase and common areas were not kept well and smelly . Is a convenient location and close to tube , supermarket and shops Bedsheets and pillow covers were not clean . No kitchen towels , hand towels or hand soap available
- Charles (4/5): Disappointing - Location was good, bathroom was relatively clean. Instructions to pick up the keys were very clear. Communication with the host was very poor, they took many days to reply, and many of the times the reply wouldn't answer my question. Additionally, despite paying for 6 guests and communicating prior to arrival that we would need sheets for the sofa bed - no sheets were provided for this. The sofa had stains on it so it would not have been possible to sleep on this without a sheet. The hob in the kitchen also didn't work.
- Diana (1/5): No sleep - Place was decent. Had all amenities we needed. Armchair broken and my dad almost fell and injured himself.
Noise from the neighbours above is over the limit of acceptable. I did not sleep well at all. I was awake until 3am the one night and similarly the second night tho on second night they did at least go clubbing at one point. The neighbours are not overly loud but the floor is laminate and they were walking with heels and dropping things on the floor, floorboards for the apartment above were squeaky and they partied a lot so tho there was no loud music there was loud talking. I could hear everything. Apartment 100% not suitable for families with kids or for people looking to sleep well. I stayed on Thursday and Friday ...
Also there are room for improvement in terms of cleanliness (mould in shower) and finishing quality.
- Dianne (7/5): Convenient for the Event attended. - I appreciated that all the instructions to get into the place were clear though it did feel a bit sketchy. The place was perfect for the needs, as visiting London for an event that was a 25 minute walk away. Convenient little grocers near too for snacks/drinks. The apartment had plentiful plates/cups/cutlery. Beds were comfortable and we were given fresh towels. The place was well decorated, with just a few minor cosmetic issues. The place was affordable for a last-minute booking in London. Host was great at reminding of check-ins/check-outs and keeping in touch. The shower was extremely small to get into as the doors didn't open wide enough, and the water pressure wasn't great. Most of the furniture had questionable stains on it but we just covered it with a pillow. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable to sit on, however the beds were great. Im grateful that there were items to make drinks and tea but everything just seemed like it was left over from previous guests stays, which isn't terrible as I dislike waste. I think it could have just been presented better. The kettle did not have a filter to stop limescale. Be warned that you can hear everything from the people downstairs and above, but this was most notable in the living room.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Virginia (9/5): Superb - Booked this apartment for my family for their stay in London. Property is well communicated with public transport, close to city centre and a lot of touristic places. Apartment was amazing, comfy, well organised and clean. My family loved it. The host was very attentive and regularly checked if we needed anything and if everything was going well, which we really appreciated. A lovely stay. Nothing to say on this one
- Natalia (3/5): I don't recommend :( - I liked the neighbourhood. It's silent, close to a good bakery (Rinkoff Bakery), big grocery shop (Sainsbury's), underground (Whitechapel) and restaurants with good and affordable food. - communication with the owner was terrible. I was told keys would be in a key safe and while the key safe was there and the code was valid there was nothing inside! I've called but noone has picked up. I've recorded a voicemail, I've written on a Booking chat. Nobody responded and when we had conversations later no one has said a word about it, simple "sorry" would do! Eventually it turned out the keys were not needed as the front door are broken and it's not possible to properly close them. Unfortunately we've waited for some time outdoors until we've checked that :(
- gas plate in kitchen looks dangerous (one knob in particular) and there were no matches so we couldn't use it.
- it was impossible (or very hard, we didn't manage to) to close the window in kitchen so when cooking/washing it's cold from outside
- weird plan: fridge is in the living room, the furthest room away from the kitchen!
- bathroom's door close but not fully, there is a chink so privacy is not 100%
- one knob for all heaters so you need to agree on one temperature with your company
- it's noisy - even though the neighbourhood is silent, it's noisy in the apartment, I believe one of the neighbours has a parrot (or other twitting bird) or at least the noise sounded like one.
- Sam (8/5): Was a very lovely place for the price, host was a nice guy. Overall very good stay. - Host was a very kind bloke and the house was welcoming. Kitchen window can’t close which lets in a good draft when it’s cold, but other than that all was good.
- Megan (1/5): Wouldn’t recommend here there aren’t any pictures of the exterior or surroundings for a reason - The property is in a really bad area there are gangs and rubbish everywhere we didn’t stay here and had to book alternative accommodation The location is very run down and felt unsafe
- Eduard (9/5): Good for the money - Spacious and clean All was good
- Alaa (9/5): I recommend this property if you want to enjoy in central London - The property was very clean, all that you need will find in the kitchen , and the owner was kind and very responsive, the location great, almost you will need to use the tube station maximum 15-20 minutes to find yourself in the center of London
- Paschal (4/5): I wouldn't stay in that apartment again and I most certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone. - location was fine, everything else was basic The apartment was nothing like the pictures and it wasn't very clean. The apartment in general was in poor condition and definitely wasn't a stunning apartment in any way.
There was a terrible odour in the common area, very run down and uninviting.
- Sharon (6/5): Great location for getting out and about, but not quite what we expected internally - very well located for Whitechapel tube station. Which gives you lots of links to all areas of London. Short walk from the tube station to the apartment. very large and spacious inside the apartment. - key safe was located in a sketchy area attached to a random plant pot
- bathroom was full of mould around shower seal
- kitchen was missing a proper cooker, dishwasher and some utensils such as scissors and tea towel
- smoke detector in the communal hallway buzzed and was beeping 24/7 as low on battery
- communal area was a bit smelly.
- Friday night was very noisy from neighbouring flat above.
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Akanni (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small and could do with a refurb.
- Emmanuel (7/5): Good -
- Glen (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy and spacious , felt at home instantly The bathroom was a bit small
