- Kylie (8/5): We loved the place regardless of the issues stated above. Feel like with the bit of care this place could be improved ve - Great location, various indoor and outdoor areas, gorgeous view out to the bush from the kitchen/deck and ocean glimpses from top deck, nice outdoor space at entry of property/ kitchen and dining spacious and comfy for our group. Not very clean (fans/blinds/screens very dirty), place needs some overall maintenance (dripping plumbing in ensuite ) main lounge with large screen has minimal seating 3/4 people max/ could do with large screen moved down stairs with large comfier couches or else a few bean bags around the place/ need a larger pot in kitchen/ more dessert/cereal bowls (only 4-5/ new pool cues/
Generally place needs some love/ feels like there has been no maintenance done on it for a while or a deep clean would help.
- Heath (9/5): For a group of guys it eas perfect. Heaps of bed, space, bathrooms. 2 massive decks, BBQ, prime location. Would book aga - Location is great. 5 min to the beach and the pub One of the showers didn’t work
- Duke (10/5): Exceptional - Great sized home accomodating a large group of friends. Location is quite close to Stradbroke Hotel and Bus stop. Walking distance to cylinder beach and point look out. Host communication is excellent.
- Alex (8/5): Very good - Location of the property was the highlight. The house itself was stunning too.
- Nattika (5/5): A house best suited to a boys surfing trip! - The location is perfect - it is walking distance to the pub, Cylinder Beach and Point Lookout for coffee! This property would best suit a group of surfers who don’t mind uncomfortable beds, Kmart sticker tile renovations, broken couches and dirty cutlery. There is no wifi, but given the 12 beds - the dining area is too small to sit and share. Not great for a group of adults looking for a beach getaway and relax time. The bathrooms are mouldy, the washing machine was grimy and linen was pretty questionable. I should have read the reviews on here as reviews on other sights must have had their rose coloured glasses on.
- Rod (3/5): Poor - Handy location to the pub. When the house flooded, the lady looking after the place was helpful and cleaned the surface water away and left extra towels. The house is poorly maintained and not very clean. There was a large rain event and one of the gutters filled up, which caused flooding in the top floor that then came into both lower floors. It was like someone had turned on taps inside, with water teaming down the walls and flooding the floors. Electricity circuits tripped several times. We had to clear the gutter ourselves to stop the water rushing in. The pool table and equipment was in terrible condition. The downstairs tv didn't work at all. Overall really disappointing.
- Kim (2/5): Very dirty place - Location Very unkept, spider webbs everywhere and very dirty.
Feet were black from walking on floor. Neighbor parked in the front yard which stopped us from putting our car there. Lounge was ripped
- Vanessa (8/5): Very good - Great location. Easy walk back and forth to Cylinder beach. Close to local shops and short drive to North Gorge area. Well-equipped kitchen. Great range of board games. Large tv. Great upstairs deck with ocean views. Upstairs bathrooms a little worn. One of the showers with noisy pipes.
- Steve (7/5): Had a great time, thanks - Flexibility of living areas, value for money Pool cues all damaged - couldn't play a game. No wifi which meant only free to air on huge TV. The check in advice of 'no wifi - talk to each other' line' is old and tired. You should state very clearly on your listing that you don't have wifi and see how many bookings you get after that.
- Cassenya (6/5): Would not stay again due to the price and cleanliness of the property - The location of the property was lovely, very close to beach access and a quiet street. The property was not cleaned apart from dishes, towels and linen. BBQ had not been cleaned from prior guests. Cleaning supplies not provided and had to purchase fish tablets, cleaning wipes and chux to hand wash some dishes. Beach views very limited and not enough seating provided to accommodate to amount of guests.
- Trent (9/5): Great place to stay in a convenient and easy location - Excellent location and well kept property
- Nicholas (7/5): Big house Great for multiple people - Great space lots of beds and sitting areas. Few little creatures around but nestled in greenery so expected. Nothing some bug spray can't fix which was provided.
