Carlos (1/5): - I made my reservation, and when I was with my family on the way to the stay, the host suddenly decided to cancel the reservation, this caused us difficulties and made us have a bad time.

The description is intentionally done to create misunderstanding, because you have a room into a shared apartment with the risk of having people going in and out during the late evening and night. The garden view is fake because the window is locked and the garden is not a garden.

Melisa (1/5): A frustrating and disappointing stay—we left shortly after checking in. - Unfortunately, we checked out just minutes after checking in, as there was nothing about the experience that made us want to stay. Communication via WhatsApp was convenient, and we received all the necessary information there. However, since the host knew we would arrive late, it would have been helpful to mention that the house does not have a visible house number like the others in the area. With so much information shared, this important detail was surprisingly left out, which made finding the property after midnight unnecessarily frustrating. The message also asked us to leave our shoes in the hallway and use house shoes—but there were none provided. When we entered our room and got ready for bed after a long drive, we found a long black hair on the sheets/mattress. The bedding was very thin and of poor quality. There was also hair in the bathroom, and the hallway was not clean. The room itself looked nothing like the photos shown online. The host explained that the missing house number was due to the neighborhood being new, which is understandable—but if you know your guests are arriving late, this is exactly the kind of detail that should be communicated in advance. We decided to leave immediately, as the overall cleanliness and condition of the place were unacceptable. The host offered a refund, which we are still waiting to receive. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend booking this place—we ended up having to find another hotel, which wasn’t nearby and was difficult due to many places being fully booked.

Elizabeth (6/5): We were moved by the host to a separate inconvenient location without our consent. - It was clean, beautiful home. First of all, the owner moved us from the “Spacious 4 BR” that was located within minutes from our worksite which was the purpose of renting the residence. When I told her we wanted to stay with place we rented she stated it was not suited to our group. Owner sent pictures of the alternative accommodations and it’s location, I again advised owner/host we wanted what we booked then she stated it was no longer available. We were moved without our consent to 30 minutes away from our jobsite. We could not cancel as this would be the second cancellation by a Vrbo host and our payments were locked in. At this particular time, there was a major weeklong event in Markham, Ontario for which we were partaking as food vendors. Hotels and other Airbnb’s were sold out so we had no choice but to take what was assigned. This residence had absolutely no televisions, so we went and bought our own. There was barely any toilet paper so we went and bought our own. Parking was insufficient for the amount of people staying in the home. Owner advised we there was visitor parking but it was full by the time we arrived in the evenings after working. Owner said we could park on front on the road as well. We received a $250 ticket following the second night.
