This was the most disgusting apartment we have ever stayed in. The entire place smelled strongly of mould and damp, making it difficult to breathe. There was visible water damage, broken floorboards, filthy carpets matted with hair, foul-smelling bathroom mats, and a general lack of maintenance.
Nothing was clean. Bedsheets felt old, dusty, and unwashed. Plates and bowls provided were covered in dust and hair. There were crawling insects on the floors and fungus gnats flying throughout the apartment.
The heating was defective and alarming. When turned on, loud noises came from the storage area, raising serious fire safety concerns. This was December, yet we were forced to endure two freezing nights, sharing the single duvet provided for our children—completely unacceptable.
We shared extensive photographic evidence with the owner, whose only response was “thank you for flagging this,” with no action taken. This property should never be listed, especially for families. We were travelling with a 7-year-old with asthma and a 4-year-old with a heart condition, and the conditions posed a clear health risk.
Despite immediately raising this with Booking.com and being Gold members for over a decade, we received only a £360 credit of the £2,069 paid, which was inadequate. The owner suggested moving us between Bow Church and Stratford—locations we did not book—adding further stress. We repeatedly requested a refund so we could move our children somewhere safe but were refused. We ultimately relocated at our own expense to the Radisson Blu, Canary Wharf, during peak season. No refund was given for the unused 7 nights.
This property appears to be in breach of UK regulations, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Housing Act 2004 (HHSRS), potential non-compliance with the 90-day short-let rule, and possible environmental health and fire safety regulations. We will be reporting the relevant local authority.

The bed not double, no soap, the furniture so weak, no sofa bed, the chairs so petite, there's no materials to cook in the kitchen,,,

Safe neighborhood.
The apartment and the area (including tube) are accessible to strollers.
Supermarket and a few restaurants just around the corner, and large shopping centers nearby.
Selina the friendly host was understanding and accommodating to our specific needs. The bed in the living room is short, suitable only for young children.

- Hashan (10/5): My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful flat - The flat is located in a very nice area of the Canary Warfs. My family felt secure and enjoyed the surroundings: various shops and restaurants, a nearby park and farm and the rail station at a short walking distance from where we could easily reach the centre of London. The host has obviously paid attention to all our needs: all kitchen pots and pans were provided as well as bath towels and toilet paper. Selina has done a marvellous job in preparing the place and providing all the information to make our stay a happy and comfortable one. The couch in the living room could be replaced with a bigger one to accomodate three people.
