Guest Reviews
- Renee (6/5): Was OK - The pellet heater in the room kept us nice and warm , was relaxing but didn't see the value for money When we arrived there was no key left for us in lock box , was very stressful as no one was answering their phone to help , it got sorted out not long later tho , our biggest problem was it was marketed as being 'private' yet we could see thro the fence at our neighbours, hear every conversation as they are close , there is a path that other guests can walk on abd see you in your hot tub , also the toilet area has no privacy screen /door
- Kylee (10/5): Numie cocoons are luxurious camping. Everything and more you could need and the soroonding nature is next level. We love - The peaceful serenity and close up interactions with nature We loved everything, this location is simple beautiful

- Yi-Hsuan (10/5): - Everything wonderful, all the things you need

The agent replied message and phone call very fast. The water in the tub is dose not look clean.

- Chadd (10/5): Full Reset and chilled. - Best facility and ripper view.
Cracking vibe and fully relaxed
- Deborah (8/5): - Location. Feeling of wilderness. The hot tub was great
- Maryanne (9/5): Glamping done really well ! - Great instructions on how to get to the area & what to do once we arrived. Beautiful spot ,really well organised with great attention to detail. Everything high end & sustainable. Great hot tub …warm & ready to go. Lovely interior with the cutest bathroom. Comfy bed. Lovely bush setting with views & easy access to the bay. Friendly wildlife neighbours. Verandah & outdoor table a chairs nice place to sit, but an awning (covering) on the verandah would be good to give you somewhere comfortable & easily accessible to sit & eat even when it is raining.

- Bente (10/5): - Absolutely awesome
- Shane (7/5): - 1st time glamping, was fun. Really just needs better privacy from passing cars and other people. Couldn't quite relax due to lack of privacy.
- Catherine (9/5): Amazing experience in a scenic location - Great location, unique experience, kitchen came with enough equipment, thoughtful additions like marshmallows, hot tub was great Considering the size of the property the cocoons should have been further apart as you can hear and see other guests, the fence had gaps between the palings so not total privacy in the hot tub.
- Cassandra (10/5): - Lovely spot to relax and unwind Nothing
- Matt (10/5): -
- Anna (10/5): - I loved everything about this place. Gorgeous setting. Beautiful decor and linens. Loved the hot tub. I loved everything.
- Iris (10/5): - Such a rare and special experience! Perfect for anyone who loves being close to nature. Super convenient with everything you need — kitchen, BBQ, campfire. The service was really warm and thoughtful. Highly recommend!
- Sunnie (10/5): Cozy and comfortable stay close to nature - Close to nature
- Ferdinando Costa (10/5): - The serenity and location of the site were second to none. The view was spectacular. The amenities were great with the basics like oil, salt, pepper provided and everything you would need to make a meal in terms of kitchen utensils. The lack of blinds at the very top of the windows allowed natural light in at 5am meaning that you were awake very very early.
- Michelle (9/5): Unique, nature-focused and thoughtfully curated experience - The tranquility, view and natural surroundings were stunning. It’s a great place to unwind and relax, cook the local produce you’ve collected on your travels and chill out in the hot tub surrounded by nature. The floral decorations and fireplace were a nice touch. In summer, a fan would be ideal, and the bathroom was extremely slippery (shower head sprayed quite a bit) but otherwise everything was lovely.
- Alison (10/5): Incredible Glamping experience at a beautiful location. Hot tub, bbq facilities, so many small thoughtful touches. Absol - The facilities and location were outstanding. One of the best places I have ever stayed!
- Diane (6/5): Style over substance for our stay in a Freycinet Cocoon - The hot tub, the inside fire and the fire pit were fantastic, and the hosts were warm, welcoming, generous and very helpful. Keys were left in the room for us although the door lock failed to lock initially (but the managers soon had that fixed). Abundance of wildlife - the bird life was incredible. Positioned in a peaceful and pretty part of Freycinet - our cocoon had a lovely outlook. The toilet set up is not really acceptable - you are basically sleeping in an open plan bathroom. Deeply unpleasant if one of you has an upset tummy. The sink is set too far back on the counter so I struggled to brush my teeth and my husband found it tricky to shave. There was a complete lack of any meaningful storage for food or clothing. The kitchen pod is a real pain to get to, given the positioning of the steps down from the cocoon, and it contains only very basic cooking equipment. A very fancy knife set was provided in a leather pouch but every single one of them was blunt. The managers very kindly loaned us their personal carving knife so that we could slice bread. The curtains are a waste of time - they leave big gaps in the window covering, but it's relatively private so not a real issue. Given that we stayed over Xmas we understand things will be more expensive, but the cocoon cost us over $700 per night and we expected so much more. We are disappointed and would not recommend this property at its current price point.
- George (10/5): Unique experience surrounded by nature - The setting was superb, the details, the fire pit with easy to access wood and firefighters, the hot tub with robes and chairs, the outdoor kitchen and BBQ, all within meters of each other was outstanding. The setting on the water, the active wildlife, the sky line, the stars, it was all there. Insect repellent, marshmallows plus rods for roasting, the sleep spray, real coffee with a plunger, extra towels. Truly an experience, highly recommended. FYI - IGA 25min to the North is well stocked.

- Larissa (10/5): Best accomodation I have ever stayed in - The accomodation was in a quiet, peaceful area, directly on the beach, after sunset you could see the animals through the window whilst laying in bed, I heard a bang, only to see a wallaby on my decking. The hot tub outside was my favourite part of the experience, I also really enjoyed the pellet fire within the glamping tent, I was warm, cosy and felt very safe. The accomodation itself was very well lit, truly stunning inside and outside, it even smells beautiful. Whoever designed this place really knows what they are doing. It also doesn't cost that much to stay there compared to other glamping spots. You really cant go wrong.
- Guy (10/5): Back to nature in this amazing ECO pod on the door of the Freycinet national park. Glamping....to another level! - Just the most perfect place to stay. In and amongst the peace and tranquility of the freycinet peninsula in a stunning ECO area of natural beauty. Awake with the birdsong and go to sleep with the Tasmanian Devils and wallabies. Just perfect. Nothing. The hosts have thought of everything.
- Margarita (10/5): Cocooned away from it all - The cocoon ambiance and facilities were just perfect for a cosy and peaceful couple of days. After a few days of hiking it was a perfect spot to alternate between staying in a cosy bed overlooking the bay, sitting in a hot tub with a glass of wine or in front of the fire roasting marshmallows. We walked to the Marine Park for some lunch one day but mostly chilled appreciating the property and all the thoughtful touches.
Thank you numie team x
- Atfield (9/5): A cocoon in the wilderness. - Your correspondance was excellent. Detailed and easy to follow.
Location, unique facilities and birdlife.
The feeling of camping but not.
Outdoor kitchen was well set-up.
Outdoor fire pit was ecellent and well stocked.
Attention to sustainability.
Hot tub was terriifc. Seats inside were good idea. The solar lights were flickeriing throughout the night and the light callico curtains were insufficient to block it out.
I didn't want to close the curtain because of the lovely night sky.
Mattress was not overly comfortable. I don't know how old the mattress is but that is just my opinion.
Maybe a warmer doona??
***Couple next door went down in front of my cocoon were smoking and vaping. Wouldn't have minded it i couldnt see them. Probably if they were going to do, maybe out of sight. I Thought it was suppose to be non smoking/vaping porperty.
***Yiou can clearly see through the adjoining fence. Maybe add some extra coverage for privacy.
Maybe a kettle inside would be good ?? Especially on chilly mornings.
Side step to kitchen area would be a possiibility. People obviously jump off side to get down. Only a suggestion.
Some outdoor cushions would be well received.
Guidelines on garbage/recycling woukd be helpful. I felt bad putting food in main bin. Maybe i didnt see compost bin??
Flooring gets very wet and slippery after showering.

- Arthur (10/5): A magical experience - 10/10 will recommend. - This place is nothing short of magical, offering the comfort of modern living (to a reasonable degree) yet with just the right amount of rustic outdoor vibes. Barely made it through my stay with the supplied wood pallets used for heating. Could use a little more, it was a cold few days!
- Francesco (10/5): Perfect, best stay ever -
- Konstancja (10/5): Perfect for when you want to be close to nature, in a quiet and calm place, but with a touch of luxury and many things p - I liked it that even when inside the cocoon, you still felt connected with nature. Loved the natural materials inside and that everything was clean and good quality and just beautiful
- Peter (10/5): Peaceful, remote and comfortable in a stunning location - Beautiful setting, very comfortable and well equipped. Very warm welcome from the host.
- Saarthak (10/5): Frankly, one of the best places I have ever visited. Everything about this place was exceptional and detail put into eve - Amazing location. Excellent facilities in the Cocoon and the staff were lovely. The communication from them was excellent from the beginning. The hot tub was perfect and the fireplace was amazing for chilly nights. Nil - could not fault this place in anyway.

- Melinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional - High quality details and really nicely equipped Nothing
- Shree (8/5): Very good - View, location
- Abigail (10/5): Fantastic get-away with everything you could need! - Beautiful location with great amenities and very helpful information from our hosts! Provided a very homely feel too! Nothing at all!
- Rigby (9/5): Well curated glamping experience - Great glamping stay lovely by a lake. Very nicely curated no tv or microwave which we would not have used. Lovely hot tub. Staff were super helpful. Great bed towels and dressing gown. Futon style bed. Well organised barbie outside area and kitchen. Occasional road noise. Would stay again very comfortable. Enjoyed seeing the possums! 10 am checkout was a hassle as with the outside area its more to tidy etc. No advice re lack of hairdryer fine once you know.
- Michael (9/5): Relaxing and peaceful place, lovely views. - We cooked our own breakfast, which was good! Location was great Curtains could have covered the front when pulled, but not really a problem given the view and location. Only real issue was the toilet, not very private in the cocoon, could be put further across behind screened area, or screened separately, but a minor issue.
- Gareth (9/5): Superb -
- Carolynne (10/5): Lovely - Location: private, within nature.
- Racheal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roxene (10/5): Numie is a beautiful bush escape. The cacoons are amazing and well thought out, and the hot tub was divine. This is one - An amazing little escape from the world. Nothing
- David (10/5): Nicole was a pleasure and really helpful, would 100% recommend to anyone, the local friendly possums were also a delight - Fantastic location, really comfortable and well equipped. Fun and a bit different. Honestly nothing.
- Lucie (9/5): Quiet little oasis - Excellent communication, lush place, as described, quiet I had amazing weather so no worries whatsoever, however the outdoors kitchen could be slightly problematic in case of rain
- Jonno (9/5): Superb -
- Jerome (10/5): I wish I would have stayed here longer - Everything was absolutely amazing, such a wonderful experience and treasured memory to look back at our stay.
- Anna (10/5): Luxury in the wilderness - Incredible attention to detail— we wanted for nothing. The bed was comfortable and the linens supreme (and smelt great). The location right by the lagoon is spectacular. We hung out with some wallabies and a curious possum and woke to the sounds of native birds. The sky is black (weather permitting) and starry - a joy from the hot tub. Super short drive to the national park with great hikes and views.
- Ellen (10/5): Hot tub is a hit! - Hot tub was amazing, even sitting in the rain it was relaxing and the perfect temperature. It smelt great walking in to the cocoon too.
