Guest Reviews
- Sateesh (9/5): - Property was excellent and location was good. Nice and peaceful.
- Tony (9/5): Fabulous location. Fabulous spacious property. What a joy. - Very well equipped. Clean and in good decorative order. Secluded location. Spacious home and private with lovely views of the surrounding garden and forest. Beautiful garden. Lovely views of birdlife. Nice touch of 'pass it on' for products in the kitchen. Thank you for the information brochures, selection of games, books and dvds. Please check end dates of food items left behind. A few washing machine tablets would be appreciated in the laundry room. Dishwasher tablets was nice touch. A couple of cheap dishcloths in the kitchen for wiping the surfaces properly. I had to use a tea towel. But such a lovely property and we are so very grateful. The back door locks feel a bit flimsy and feel they could be broken easily (maybe watching too many murder mysteries).
- Rose-Maria Keating (9/5): A wonderful stay, beautiful surroundings and a clean and liveable space - Quiet location and catered for all our needs
- Leanne (8/5): Great experience. -
- Zoran (10/5): Everything was very good, except internet connection. - Great location
- Lorraine (9/5): - Beautiful and very central location. The home is very well equipped to provide a wonderful and relaxed stay. There were a few dusty bits that could've received a bit more attention, but it didn't bother us too much.
- Olivia (10/5): - Very nice location and property.
- Whibley (10/5): Great family size house, well located easy access to all of Margaret River - Great location, wonderful size
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Sheila (9/5): Superb -
- Clifton-simms (9/5): Superb -
- Diana (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location surrounded by trees. There was a lack of toilet paper (we ran out) and there could have been some more toiletries. This was really the only negative aspect.
- Tenzin (10/5): Beautiful experience! - Beautiful property. Perfect for family get away! The fact that you are paying so much and you are even asked to take the garbage out.
- Ibtissame (10/5): Memorable Stay in Margaret River - Our family had the most wonderful time at Mansfield Retreat. The house was a perfect home away from home, nestled in a peaceful setting with towering trees. The beds were super comfortable, the house was spacious and extremely clean and the kitchen was very well-equipped, The place was so peaceful and relaxing. and the space itself was magnificent, surrounded by tall trees yet still close to everything. Retrieving the keys from the lockbox allowed us to arrive at our convenience, making our arrival very smooth
A special highlight was when my mom was visited by two friendly kangaroos while enjoying her morning coffee. A truly unforgettable stay in Margaret River
- Victoria (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (9/5): Superb -
- Sylvia (9/5): A little gem. - House was extremely clean and spacious with two bathrooms and two lounge rooms. This is a lovely peaceful house with everything needed for a great stay. All bedding and towels were supplied. Four bedrooms are scarce so it was a gem and we spent a very relaxing three days there. I would highly recommend it. One and only downside was no aircon in the bedrooms for heating. Small portable electric heaters were provided in the bedrooms but didn't trust it to keep it on overnight even though it was needed. Extra blankets were found in the cupboards but we were all extremely cold when sleeping the first night as the air temperature was very cold.
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
- Liz (9/5): Beautiful private setting - Quite location,
lovely clean modern accommodation
Extremely comfy beds,
Plenty of parking. Providing one night of wood for the fire would have been a bonus.
- Dwayne (9/5): Superb -
- Metalynn (10/5): Lovely place! - Clean, big house with a well-stocked kitchen, great heaters and a closed fireplace. Lots of board games to choose from and even lemon and orange trees outside! Surroundings were beautiful and neighbours were friendly as well. Great atmosphere in general and would highly recommend to stay here, but maybe drive in before the sun sets as the area is very dark. The directions to the home could be clearer as we followed Google Maps and ended up in the neighbours' driveway. The sign by the road could be more prominent as well, maybe with something reflective by it. One of the stove tops wasn't working as well but that's a small matter.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (9/5): Pretty magical. - Breakfast - N/A; Surrounded by beautiful forest but close to town at the same time. Beautiful birdsong, saw two kangaroos hop by @ 1:00pm one day when sitting outside. Beautiful back yard and patio. Lovely master bedroom. Other bedrooms on opposite wing. Well equipped kitchen. Pot belly stove took the autumn chill off beautifully. Truly no complaints - what a privilege to spend time at Mansfield Retreat. We only ask that the Possum Police remove the possum that sounded as if it was in the roof.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Toby (8/5): Lovely stay, trampoline was a great bonus. Would come again next time. Thanks - Great house, location perfect, love the forest setting Small single beds but great for a child.
- Walton (10/5): Great stay! Lovely location and a beautiful house - Great location! The beds were super comfy, great kitchen, lounge room and outdoor area The kitchen was a bit dirty, had some sticky stuff in the drawers
- Robyne (9/5): Delightful stay in a lovely place and great setting - We just loved the quiet isolation on the edge of the forest….lovely home….we’ll equipped…very comfortable beds
Everything was just great Tv controls etc very hard to navigate!! Couldn’t get all common free to air channels
- Robyn (10/5): Fabulous stay. Will come again for sure !! - We were self catering. We had every thing we needed. Fabulous house.Close to every thing and tons of room.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - Great location. Big enough for a family.
- Cherie (10/5): Loved it! - Beautiful home. Met our needs for the weekend. Kids loved the trampoline. It was nice to be amongst the bush/nature. Ensuite toilet a bit blocked. Took a bit for water to go back down. Would recommend it be looked it for future guests.
Maybe provide some wood.

- Kelly (10/5): quiet , peaceful just like home from home - location nothing
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Phil (8/5): Quiet retreat - Every thing in the house was great. The kitchen well equipped, the lounges great, fire lovely, the heating good, the QUIET was superb. The agency was helpful with any problems. The double bed in the second room was absolutely terrible..sags and has no support...needs a new mattress.
I especially didn't like the agency initially trying to charge an extra $50 for using 2 beds instead of 1 (for 2 people.. my sister and I), especially when the base $ rate is for 4 people.
- Emma (7/5): Fairly comfortable stay, lovely location. - Great location.
Lovely, peaceful gardens.
Loved the “pay it forward” shelf in the pantry.
Kids rooms were suitable. The size of the Bed in the master suite was uncomfortably small.
- Simone (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location, great layout and amenities. Perfect for our needs
