Guest Reviews
- Rosita (7/5): Very convenient location. Easy walking access to West End, South Bank and City k - Locazion, comfortable beds. Lock box too difficult to use. It may need replacing. Some fixtures, curtain and bathroom rsils nead repair.
- Kim (3/5): Great location but old apartment. Photos don’t represent actual current day feel. Wouldn’t stay again - Great location for the event we were at at the convention centre. Close to cafes and Southbank for restaurants I got locked in on my first day. Key wouldn’t open the deadbolt. Had to jump off the balcony onto a car to get out as I was racing at the convention centre. Very run down property. All air cons rattled. Bathrooms very old looking, leaking tap in our en-suite. Saw 2 cockroaches

- Khadka (8/5): -
- Turkan (4/5): Bad experience - The house was a good size and had a good location. Despite staying for 12 days, they didn't change the sheets or towels, and when we requested cleaning, they demanded payment. Many items were missing from the house, curtains were missing, and broken curtain pieces were found in many cupboards. The bathrooms smelled incredibly bad. This facility was a bad experience for us.
- Kiri (8/5): Perfect location for business travel or weekend getaway. - Clean, tidy and convenient location for work needs. Neighboring properties wedging security doors open to and not closing main gate.
- Dirk (6/5): - Close to South Bank and city Very dated, half the vertical blinds are missing also fold out bed uncomfortable. The tent city in the park made my daughters feel uncomfortable.
- Nelly (6/5): Generally the apartment is a little tired and in need of some simple maintenance which would remedy the problems we enco - Great location within easy reach of restaurants, services, entertainment and shops. Helpful pleasant staff could be contacted by phone. *Tiled floors were greasy and slimy
*Vertical blinds in living area were missing lots of drops leaving big gaps, reducing privacy and allowing too much light in for the person sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area
* upon arrival, there were dirty plates, glasses and cutlery in dishwasher
*Faulty door locks - deadlock on front door to unit kept jamming
*shower screen in main bathroom is unsafe - no bottom runner for the sliding door . Lots of mould on and around shower screen, and numerous chipped tiles - unhygienic and dangerous if there are small children accessing this bathroom
* stained mattress protector in bedroom 1
* 2 cockroaches flew out of the airconditioner in the main bedroom when we turned it on.
- Corlet (1/5): Dirty, smelly, mouldy and very run down. - Location It was dirty, smelly, mouldy and very run down.
- Niamh (1/5): -

- Nancy (4/5): We wouldn’t stay again, unless there was better communication in the first place. we could speak to management prior to - The location was good, and it was comfortable. We were not happy having rung management 7 times and leaving messages, sent emails, to then find that they didn’t receive my photo ID just a couple of hours before we could check in.
Poor cleanliness, Rug in lounge was very dirty, balcony was ridiculously dirty and seating was dirty, very disappointed in not being able to sit on balcony, and the floor was very dirty with mould, leaves and general dirt.
No instructions on how to use dishwasher, And poor communication with management for prior to our arrival, for bed linen for sofa bed, collection of keys, and instructions on key distribution after leaving. This should be simplified. Too stressful starting a holiday or stay. A baggage drop could’ve been made easier, when guests fly into Brisbane, as we didn’t have a car to leave them in. If Booking.com had called and asked questions upon arrival it would’ve made our stay much more accommodating.
Communication is very important.
- Kerrie (5/5): Just, tedious. Also, unclean. Great location, though. - The location was great and made the city very accessible. Pity the view is of a park full of tents but that is outside of our hosts control. The whole security deposit and ID collection prior to the stay was over the top. Drivers licence was uploaded months before the booking yet the night before my stay I received a number of desperate reminders asking for it again. Hopefully it hasn't been onsold to some scammy scammers.
Check in instructions could have been A LOT clearer about the location of the key. (On the fence for future guests). Wasted a heap of time looking for it. My friend who had rented the apartment across the hall was similarly confused by the instructions, so I know it was not just me.
More than 1 key would also have been very handy so that the occupants of each bedroom could have gone their separate ways without having to worry about who has the keys and who is getting back first.
The patio was filthy, I walked on it in bare feet and they turned black. The whole building exterior was tired. Carpark is tiny and not built for anything over a small car.
The mat in front of the door is flatout dangerous and a broken neck waiting to happen. Unit is tired with broken fixtures and is nowhere near as clean as the fees charged would suggest. The furniture was uncomfortable and all appears to have come from kmart. The checkout process was tedious with requests for photos of the key in the lockbox. Photos SMSed as requested. Next minute... phone calls chasing photos that had already been sent. When asked for confirmation that photos were received... crickets.

- Aayush (10/5): Quality time and best stay - Clean and well maintained I loved everything about it
- Ben (8/5): -

- Jones (4/5): Whilst the Apartment itself was good, alot of things were very disappointing, see above. - Close proximity to Railway Station, South Bank restaurants, and QPAC, off street parking. 1. Had to talk to the Booking Office 4 times to get a response.
2. No directions on Where Lock Box was, needed to have a tenant let us in to the Complex.
3. External door to the block of apartments had a broken handle that our Landlord was supposed to have fixed more than a month before, took the money from the guys who broke the outer door but did not get it fixed. Had to sit in the carpark for 1-3/4hrs before a tenant opened the external door to the Complex.
4. Garage door to Apartment 5 could not be closed. No key or remote.
5. Remote to Complex Gate had a flat battery and could not be used.
6. Tap in Ensuite is leaking badly when totally turned off.
7. Some vertical blinds missing.
8. For the cost of the Stay the provided utilities in the Kitchen were inadequate.
- Christian (9/5): Superb -
- Kath (8/5): Very good -
- Belly (8/5): Very good - Great location, The only problem was the bed in the main bedroom broken.
- Mel (5/5): Difficult - The apartment was nice and walking distance to the Theatre. This property is a pain. I was sent messages regarding, who will be at the apartment, how old, what are we doing and wanting all our mobiles. I also had another message wanting a photo of my credit card and drivers licence. They also took a $500 deposit for damages! After arriving at the apartment, I had no direction on where to pick up the key and had to call the hoist. After a bunch of questions, he finally sent me an email and then a text. I was told to walk 5 minutes down the road to a lock box. My car would not fit in the car park so had to park outside. The whole thing put a real damper on our stay.
- James (1/5): Worst Management Company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with! - Absolutely nothing. What a diabolical experience - the worst I have ever had anywhere in the world. When I tried to obtain Keys -they weren't available and I wasted more than an hour trying to get access. When leaving I spent 10 minutes trying to unlock the unit door as the lock or key was not functioning properly. To add insult to injury, the remote for the gate didn't work so I could not exit the property in my Vehicle. The Management couldn't or wouldn't send somebody to open it. I finally found a Resident who was kind enough to open the gate for me. These aren't the only issues I had - I just can't be bothered to write any more.
- Anita (10/5): Short walk to the convention centre, restaurants and IGA. Lovely apartment, very spacious with a great sized open plan k - Great location, nice roomy apartment with a good sized balcony
- Cherie (8/5): A great place to stay! - Great location and layout of apartment. Self-sufficient with kitchen and laundry, and comfy beds! Dissapointed no clothes drying racks or pegs. I had saved up a few days washing from the previous few days elsewhere, and it was very hard to dry clothes naturally. Don't like using electric dryers.
The kitchen was missing many items. We planned to do all our cooking and not buy food out. Please add the following to make the facility excellent rather than very good
- Some sharp smooth knives, all are serated and difficult for chopping veggies.
- Some serving and mixing bowls that can also be used for the microwave.
- more than 1 teatowel.
- Providing only 4 of some crocery items meant we needed to do the dishes more, but there were only 4 dishwasher tablets.
- Strainer to drain cooking
- Tongs and oven mits
- A new vegetable peeler that actually works
- Glad wrap - it was great aluminium foil and baking paper were provided along with some cooking condiments and oils.
Other notes:
- Main toilet seat isn't secure
- Most of the cusions are.prickly with feathers that come out, they make a real mess.
- The front balcony floor was very dirty. Inside was very clean.
Overall, we were really happy with the place. The above notes are to help it be even better. Would definitely use the place again.
- Darrell (7/5): Our excitement of the stay and our night out was dampened due to the key not being left in the lockbox as stated in the - Location The gate doesn’t open with the remote, you have to walk down and use the key. The tenant in the unit next door said she had the same issue.
- Mai-chi (8/5): Pleasant stay - The apartment has everything, including laundry and dryer machines There’s no storage area for luggage after check out or before check in. We wish more towels were provided since we stayed for a week but only 1 set of towels per person was there (We were out from early morning til late night so we didn’t have time to wash them)
- Sam (8/5): Great sized, clean apartment in great location -
- Coolican (8/5): amazing - the cleanliness
- Dani (7/5): Ok for short stay - Great location, close to southbank and train station. It's a nice place for a short stay. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Neat and tidy inside, and the baby chair was an extra bonus. The check in and out process is a bit tedious and not very convenient having to pick up and drop off keys at a different location. Apartment is a bit run down. The aircons were loud and one of the remotes didn't work well (couldn't read the temp). The balcony needs a clean as our kids feet would be black after running around on it.
- Peni (7/5): Good but could have been better - Car garage couldn't be locked and a bit dirty, rooms were clean and spacious but we had a Indian family next door who were very loud and a baby screaming in the middle of the night. Dirty garage and did not have locks, noisy neighbours in middle of the night. Wi fi need to be upgraded, speed too slow, could not use it.
- Andrew (8/5): Very comfortable and everything we needed to enjoy our trip. We would stay again. - Easy access, lockable car space. Right next to facilities we needed. Lock box was walking distance to our stay. The beds were comfortable, and the place was clean. Nice balcony. Nice and bright to with only one flight of stairs to traverse. The couch and sitting area on balcony was not inviting.
No door lock for main bathroom door that limited privacy.
- Maria (7/5): We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our holiday - Location , 2 bathroom, kitchen lounge
Very detailed check in and check out Spa didn’t work, small WiFi issue , ants
- Courtney (1/5): Bad - Nothing! Will never come back! I was stung $60 out of our security deposit for a broken lamp that was in the cupboard when we arrived. Devastated! People need to be aware to report on arrival. Valuable lesson learned by me.
- Saileshwar (6/5): Great location - The location, the cooking and laundry facilities and security. Nice views from the balcony. Outdated, not value for money, garage not suitable for large SUV. The wash basin drain pipe needs cleaning-was smelly. There was an added hidden cost of $15.87 from Be local’s property management for them to secure a refundable deposit of $400 which was returned but not the $15.87.
- Katherine (9/5): Perfect location, clean, spacious and excellent value for money. - The location was superb, only 3 minutes from the Brisbane Convention Centre and the South Bank. Slightly dated and needs some maintenance, especially in the bathrooms. And some instructions on appliances would be useful.
- Gary (5/5): Trying to gain entry was hard. Once we entered stay was good. - Very clean and comfortable. Took me nearly 45mons to get access to the lock box as the main entry gates were locked.
- Paula (9/5): Spacious place in great location for the conference centre - Spacious living area and location was so great for our three days at the conference centre. Found a handy little IGA too. I was initially put off by the tent community in the park, but they really kept to themselves and weren’t a bother.
- Jing (9/5): Superb -
- Mina (4/5): The location was good and that was the only good thing about it. The worst thing was the fact that we did not feel welco - I searched in booking. Com There were so many rules and regulations that the owner sent me that I felt nervous about breaking the rules the whole time rather than feeling welcomed. It was a package with instructions to check in and another one for checkout. I was so disappointed it was run as an Airbnb while I booked it through booking.com. They charged me extra money as a bond! They did pay that back but again this was very unusual for booking.com and they only asked for extra money few days before checkin.
The were minimal crockery in the kitchen. It was impossible to do any cooking. There were only 3 mugs for 4 people!
- Eliza (9/5): Perfect location - Spacious and comfortable for our family. Super easy to walk to south bank.
- Leah (8/5): Very good -
- Rae (8/5): Would stay again - Great location & great price Too many emails
