I booked a 3-bedroom apartment for a special family trip. The kids were excited, and the host kept messaging to confirm our arrival — everything seemed set. Then, the day before check-in, the host canceled out of nowhere, blaming “urgent maintenance.”
We wasted hours scrambling for a replacement, but nothing comparable was available. I ended up crammed into a hotel room and a smaller apartment with my kids. It ruined our trip.
To make it worse, the host completely ignored all follow-ups, and even the booking platform couldn’t get a response. Unacceptable and infuriating.
