• Lili (7/5): Fantastic way to explore Cape Verde - Lovely apartment just steps away from the beach. There is a nice Bob Marley beach bar that does food, which we preferred over any of the resort restaurants. A 5-min cheap cab ride into Santa Maria will give you lots more choice on good bars and restaurants. Beaches are lovely and the bikini beach has perfect calm waters for young kids. Drawers and wardrobes were in need of a deep clean. Watch out for the creepy crawlies… to be expected in a hot country I guess. Water in shower did not properly wash out shampoo. Water in Cape Verde is not drinkable so we couldn’t wash fruit and veg.
