Guest Reviews
- John (8/5): Would recommend for location, easy walk to major areas and transportation. - Location, outdoor area, well-equipped kitchen with washer and dryer, large living area with table and sufficient chairs.
Televisions not working - maybe our lack of technical ability, but serviced promptly when we called for help. Second bedroom had no window. Keys having to be hand deliver at beginning and end. Definite arrangement and times to exchange keys, no flexibility for easy pickup or drop off at the apartment site. Outdoor balcony could have been swept and made more inviting.
Information in email, but printed local information in the apartment would be nice.
- Ami (6/5): Great location, cool vibe, strange management company. - The location was perfect, the parking was so convenient, the building felt very secure, the balcony was great for catching some fresh air and watching the city. The check-in/out process was overly complicated. They have an option to meet someone at the building, but it was super weird, involved a lot of texting and phone calls, and the overall communication was annoying. Much different experience than I am used to with short-term rentals. I thought meeting someone at the building would be easier, however, I regretted it as soon as I started getting phone calls.
The unit itself was fine - I've stayed in Victoria before, so I knew how noisy it would be between the sea gulls and the streets. But having to close the windows at night really makes the place hot, and there were no fans in living area. I thought the room with 2 twin beds would have enough room for the roll away twin bed, too, but it didn't. We had to put it out in the dining area.
Lastly, the pillows were absolutely atrocious. They were hard, flat lumps. It was as if synthetic filling went through the dryer and fused together into a rectangle. Bring your own, if you want any level of comfort.
Overall decent stay, but I wouldn't do it again with 7 people. It really only fits 5 comfortably.
- Heidi (7/5): Downtown spacious flat with parking - In general, the flat was big and had everything we needed. Also no noise from the neighbours considering a few people live there.
Big plus that we could park the car and access the flat without leaving the building. The flat is downtown, so it's quite noisy when the windows aren't shut.
The 2nd bedroom was quieter since it doesn't have any windows, but quite small for 2 teenagers.
