Guest Reviews
- Dejan (3/5): Not a good value for the money. - Easy collection of the keys and possibility to check in at any time. The property lists as a 2 beedrom when instead is a one bedroom and one hallway-made small bedroom with no privacy (you enter from one room into another). The matresses were very uncomfortable. There is no sound isolation and we couldnt sleep at night due to the noises on the street. It was freesing cold, the owner told me that the heat turns up automatically when it comes to 19 degrees but it didn't. Bad location.
- Luan (5/5): Disappointing stay! - In general, apartment was clean. Master bedroom was tastefully decorated. Neighborhood did not feel safe, however. That being said, this apartment is located out of the city center. In comparison to other suburban accommodations, it appears overpriced. I rarely give unfavorable reviews of places I've stayed. To be fair, S&M APARTMENTS was average. The owners clearly tried their best to make it as tasteful as possible. Unfortunately, the apartment did not meet our expectations. The shower was tiny and grossly impractical. It was impossible for my friend, who is heavier in stature to even get inside. It was a done deal for us, if we couldn't even bathe ourselves during the 3 days there (not that we could anyway, as not even the standard complimentary toiletries were provided by the host). In addition, while the amenities lists a balcony, it was more of a public passageway overlooking the courtyard of the apartment complex. We left within 30 minutes of check-in, and found alternative accommodation. Finding last-minute accommodation in Milan was brutally expensive. We collectively spent EUR 1,200 in accommodation (alone) for a 3-night stay in Milan, exceeding the budget of our entire trip. What really made matters worse, was the complete absence of empathy and understanding from the property manager who refused our request for a (mind you) PARTIAL refund of our stay, claiming that "HE" would incur a loss for not having rented out the apartment. Actually sir, what you wouldn't have made was a "PROFIT". To the contrary, we incurred the "LOSS". In general, this was a sad experience entirely and really put a damper on our stay in Milan.
Edit: Following the owner's poor attempt to deflect focus on being profit driven, rather than on fostering positive customer experiences, let me put on record, this apartment was secured by full payment 3-weeks before check-in. So no, the owner did not have to refuse requests "to guarantee the apartment for us". Sadly, by the owner's logic, refunds have no place in modern societies unless: (i) done immediately, and (ii) there is another customer to pick up the bill. Get a grip!
