Guest Reviews
- Sandy (7/5): Okay but somewhat disappointing due to the above - Homely
Convenient
Well equipped The bed linen looks old and discoloured and pillows stained
Outside is overgrown with weeds , had to knock down to use clothes line
We arrived after midnight and in the rain . Poorly lit, difficult to find street number as very dark and set back from the street - could do with its name on sign to identify it at the front
- Amy (10/5): -
- Deidre (10/5): Great home, close to everything we needed - Lovely home and close to softball fields Nothing to dislike
- Tammy (6/5): Convenient and clean. - Well looked after with convenience to Cleaveland. We had most everything we needed for the stay. The beds weren’t sturdy and the pillows had no support. Some better bedding would make the nights more comfortable.
- Nicole (9/5): Had a great stay thank you - Everything was great just found pillows way too thin too soft. A bit of rubbish lying around where you park the car. The toilet roll holder is loose on the wall and door stop not attached.
- tamara (8/5): Nice tidy granny flat in a convenient location just needed the weights tended to out the front and the back of the prope - The place inside was very clean and tidy with great facilities and a convenient location The car park spot was very small. We couldn’t fit our car in it with the tenants from the front property parking in their driveway as well.. there were lots of weeds and farmer’s friends lining the past heading to the house which is not a big deal but the farmer’s friends were stuck in my pants and my children’s pants every time we walk down the path to the house
And couldn’t access the washing line due to the waves and farmers friends
- Warren (7/5): - Double beds in each of the three rooms meant the adult children were comfortable in their own separate rooms. Good sized lounge, kit hen, dining area and nice outdoor table and benches in the morning sun. After going through cupboards, found tea and coffee and cereal and ice creams in fridge.
- Trinity (6/5): - The residence was clean and comfortable. Great location in regard to proximity to Touch Football fields and shops. The residence is at the back of a house which is tenanted by grubs. There was yelling and swearing and as the house is so close even the TV noise was loud. Thankfully it was winter and we were only there to sleep so we could close up and reduce the noise to some degree. The neighbours also parked in a way that made it difficult to park in the bizarre allocated parking space. I now read reviews carefully because these neighbours seem to be a common problem for this property.
It is very overpriced for what you get. You couldn't sit outside, the little yard space is not maintained with tall weeds, spear grass and rubbish (even a bag of cement). While the residence was clean, the food left by previous tenants was still in the fridge and cupboards (opened bottles of wine and a bag of Potato's in the cupboard).
- Rox (9/5): - No tea towels to dry the washed dishes on the last morning as we didn't have time to use the dishwasher. On arrival there was dirty coffee mugs that hadn't been rinsed in the dishwasher we soaked them to get coffee remains out.
- Cat (4/5): Do not recommend!! - Dirty tea towel, stained and worn towels, no foot mat, no hand towel, dirty shower, not mown, not able to access parking provided. This property is a granny flat tucked behind the worst kept house in the street. No driveway access. Had to dodge kids scooters, large dips in grass and stick breaks to get to the front door. mattresses were just foam and rock hard. Video camera watching the patio. Super disappointed!! The day we were leaving there was a not on our car saying don’t park here reported to council! We parked next to the cement slab as we could not access the parking garage pad due to the owners rental I front of this house and their kids.
- Shane (9/5): Superb -
- Cyc (8/5): Very good - N/a All good
- Kellie (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (7/5): House has had an obvious recent renovation so it’s fresh and tidy. But we felt exposed to all surrounding houses - It was clean and tidy and easily accessible, central to events we were attending There were so many flies in the house when we arrived. Killed about 30 of them. Didn’t feel totally comfortable or safe. The house felt exposed to all the neighbours and people staying in the front property parked across our designated car space and had totally filled the rubbish bins
- Jodie (1/5): Bad - The surrounds were poorly kept. There was a cat that tried to get into the accommodation everytime we opened the door. The beds were uncomfortable and there was a barking dog next door. We paid for 6 nights and left after the 1st nights stay.
- Trevor (3/5): Unwelcoming - It was clean. Very good shower. Good iron. Lighting is poor making it difficult to locate in the dark.
Unwelcoming neighbours. Very unattractive limited access to the path to the unit. Covered with neighbours cars and overflowing rubbish bins.
Inadequate lighting along the path and entrance to the unit. This is a safety issue given the neighbours & the amount of weeds around the whole unit. Also makes it difficult to access the key and enter the unit.
Very basic bedding.
Dangerous holes at the rear of the car park space. This was particularly an issue when returning one evening to have an empty reptile tank and bins located in car space. Restricting parking and increasing risk.
Overall very disappointed.
- Jamie (7/5): Like new, well stocked with everything you need. Great communication from the host - Clean like new. Fresh and bright.
Equipped with everything we needed and extra supplies,
Nice touch providing bacon, eggs, fruit and basic pantry items thank you.
Air con worked like new and kept the living space cool.
Good security on doors and windows.
Several entertainment streaming platforms were logged in which was handy.
Great communication from the host. The neighbours on the front property were awful. Loud, screaming, fighting. Contemplated calling the police, sounded like an assault was taking place. Loud music at different times of the day and night. They had overflowing rubbing bins, rubbish and discarded items that had migrated to the Air BnB entryway. They had parked their ute in the allocated parking space for this Air BnB and claimed they couldn’t find the keys for the first 24hrs. On day 3 they’d parked another vehicle in the spot. We had a 4 year old and 80+ family member who had to navigate (or we had to carry) through the slim space between the cars. The neighbours are the only downside for this Air BnB, which I understand might be out of their control.
A couple of suggestions: a large chopping knife for the kitchen, extra blankets, a few more mugs, slightly larger kitchen bin
Thank you
- Blue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dawn (4/5): Trolley to help carry belongings to house would be helpful. - Inside the house was fine and clean. The distance to carry your belongings from your car to house. Needs mowing and weeding. Have to use clothes line as no clothes dryer in laundry. It’s behind another house with one air conditioner.
- Steph (8/5): Very good - Was very comfortable for a family of 4, close to location attending, thank you. Pillows were a bit soft but that's a personal preference.
- Gredig (6/5): Pleasant -
- Brett (8/5): Very good -
- Leo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (5/5): not well equipped. shower was not clean. bins for rubbish disposal were overflowing. - good location not ready for our stay when had arranged early check in
- Ian (7/5): Good - The property was excellent, clean and comfortable! The area around the property was a bit run down!
- Judy (4/5): not sure owner services this property if not should be made aware Would not reccommend - Cleanliness, Linen especially towels( Pillows shocking )Dust under Bed (Oven leftover crumbs in oven)
Garlic smell through all kitchen cupboards Smell still on china needed to put through dishwasher to get smell out
- Kate (10/5): Great location and quiet - Spacious Nothing
- Diane (8/5): Very good - Great house with everything we needed. Close to the coast and shopping centre.
- W (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (7/5): Good - House was ok
There is a smell of sewerage or something, maybe more when house is locked up
The gate wouldn’t stay shut though Parking with people who own out front was a bit hard when first arrived and also not sure what bin was for the house
- Mariana (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (9/5): Convenient cottage for city stays. - Lovely clean little house. Perfect for a couple of days in Brisbane. Kitchen facilities are great for making your own breakfast and dinner. Everything was good.
- Saraha84 (5/5): Passable - Close to where we needed to be.
Nice house
Property owner/Manager very lovely No WiFi and hardly any phone service had to be outside to have service.
People in front house yelling and fighting
- Clement (8/5): We live staying in the house .loved loved Cleavland - If there Wi-Fi
- Clement (10/5): I would recommend to a friend .very nice house . - Liked location and it was very clean . That there was no Wi-Fi I
- Jenny (8/5): Very good - Very nice 3 bedroom house located behind another house. Clean. We'll equipped with crockery and cooking utensils. The walkway beside the front house way quite untidy and the area around the house was very overgrown with weeds. The toilet roll holder was missing and there was no doorknob on the bathroom door.
