Guest Reviews
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Vicky (7/5): - Location is great and you have everything you need for a short stay It's very small and the bathroom gets wet easily
- Samuel (6/5): -
- Todd (6/5): Again handy position, clean and tidy. Reasonably priced as London isn’t cheap. - The property was clean, and very handy to the Stoke Newington high street. The property is a converted house with several bedsits/studios. The walls and ceilings are paper thin and you hear every conversation, and every action, from people in the studio above including, their intimate bed moments. Admittedly not the owners fault, as conversions of old houses can be like this. However just be aware as it really bothered us, especially when they came in late and it was like they were in our room. However the main issue we had is the owner advertised the place as a “One bedroom apartment of 50 square meters” However it’s more like 18 square meters and a bedsit at the most. The owner has since changed the advert to a studio. Once we realised we were down 30 square meters of advertised space, and got used to having little room once our suitcases were in, it was ok.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Salvatore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yasmine (7/5): Great stay. Clean, convenient and comfortable - The location was perfect, the best is comfortable and there’s everything you need. I recommend. The walls are way too thin and I got unlucky with the neighbours next door being very very loud at night and early in the morning which is annoying as the studio is actually very quiet, giving right on the garden. It affected my sleep/stay.
Also the stairs are very narrow so if if you have large luggages, you might struggle a bit.
- Dave (7/5): I found the place to be a disappointing experience; probably wouldn't go back again, or recommend - The location was good (it suited where we wanted to be) which is why we booked it. The fact a deposit was insisted upon - upon hindsight I would not have booked if I had been aware of this before hand - on checking it was covered under a tab of "important information" - but this should have been highlighted for such a critical piece of information.
The size of the room was no where near what it is advertised as - your ad suggests it is 50m2 which is very spacious; it is in reality more like 15m2 (or maybe a touch more but definitely less than 20m2). Your ad also states air conditioned - it isn't so another mistruth.
Despite the fact the host wanted a deposit, the room was tired, not fantastically cleaned (bed was okay), and suffered from damage (poor workmanship the likely cause) in numerous areas and haven't been repaired - the irony wasn't lost on me.
Due to the small room area, some things were lacking, for example, a half size ironing board, a small shower that i strugled to fit into and use comfortably (I am 5'8" and 12 stone) and not enough wardrobe space if you are staying for more than a night; the bed, although adequate as a double, was only accessible from one side, the other being up against the wall.
- Salvatore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional - The place was spotless, spacious and super comfortable and the host made us feel right at home.
- Louisse (10/5): Highly recommend! - We booked last minute and were so happy with the place! It was cozy, with a relaxed vibe, and had everything we needed!
- Fadi (10/5): Exceptional - Such an amazing place! Had everything we needed and more. The space was super stylish, comfy, and in a perfect spot. I'd totally stay here again without a second thought!
- Melanie (6/5): Pleasant - The room was clean and the space while small was pleasant. There was no rubbish bin in the room and the outside bins were overfull. I also found having a large television that was not connected to any channels was strange.
- Alison (7/5): A very pleasant experience in east London. - The studio room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and there was adequate space for one person with a large suitcase. It was in a very quiet road so no traffic noise. There is no wifi which I knew! But this also meant the TV was not programmed for watching anything other than mirroring devices.
- Edward (1/5): At the last minute we had to sign up to superhog before we got access. Bookings said nothing about this. we had £500 tak - really nice nothing
