Guest Reviews
- james (10/5): Great place to stay - Love this home. Great place to stay. Had every possible items you could need.
Good heating. Parking. Easy access. Pete the owner very accessible.
Highly recommend No issues
- Narisa (10/5): -
- Vivienne (8/5): This home has so much character and it was lovely and warm with plenty of heating if we needed it. Really great kitchen - The property was very comfortable and warm with everything we needed for our stay. The bunk room was quite small
- Madssen (7/5): - The house was lovely. The floors and doors beautiful. Bedrooms nice and cosy. The doors in the house sit poorly in their frames and the gaps under the doors made it harder to heat the rooms. Door snakes could help.
- PAUL (10/5): -
- STEPHEN (6/5): - The use of the outdoor fire pit. The outdoor lights were not working. The fifth person bunk beds are not large enough for an adult and they were positioned in a hall way to the bath and toilet area.
- samantha (9/5): Location great, Pete was excellent to deal with and the house was very comfortable - Such a beautiful home in a good spot The bathroom door didn’t close properly and the kitchen was a bit dirty mainly inside of the cabinets
- Muldoon (10/5): - Great place to stay, clean and comfortable beds. Great little kitchen and amenities. Can't fault this place.
- Paula (9/5): A lovely property to stay at in Laucenstown, just like a home from home. Easy to find, good parking and great facilities - It was like a home from home. The property was easy to find with great parking. It was very clean and really comfortable. It had more than we needed for our stay. It was lovely to have our own secluded garden. Nothing
- Moira (8/5): Lovely, comfortable cottage. - Very comfortable beds. Lovely decor. Convenient location. Would like a separate indoor bin for recyclables.
- Jeremy YEO (8/5): We had an enjoyable and relaxing 6 night stay in Tranquil Launceston Getaway. - Convenient location.
- John (10/5): Best value for money accommodation in Launceston. - This residence exceeded our expectations. Located in a small street and very quiet neighborhood in Inverary, it was a perfect jump off point for all our journeys around Launceston. It was not far from the shops, fuel stations, coffee shops and restaurants. The house was beautifully presented with and old age charm about it but with modern conveniences. Off-street parking was not a problem. Well done to the owners as this was considered the best value for money accommodation we experienced in our four week travels. There needs to be a grab handle located beside the shower. I spoke to the owners and he is having this attended to.
- Gillian (8/5): An excellent base for exploring Launceston and the surroundings - We enjoyed the central location, minutes away from major attractions. This cottage is very clean and comfortable, the beds especially and has a pleasant ambiance. Easy off street parking at the door.
Communication with the owner was excellent.
- Don't have one. (10/5): - Just a lovely place to stay. Clean and comfy. A home away from home. Beds were realy comfy, which was so appreciated. Everything was thought of. Heaps of extras to make our stay super easy and confortable. Even a milk frother. Thank you. Everything was great.
- Georgia (10/5): - It’s was a beautiful cozy cottage. It had everything we needed and lovely backyard with a fireplace!
- Kellie (9/5): - Brilliant location for Foo Fighters Concert at stadium
- laura (9/5): Very omfortable and quiet house close to Launceston. - Very comfortable and quirky, lots of kitchen bits and toiletries, great shower and hot water, comfy lounge. A very welcoming property. Big garden. Lacked a few basic kitchen things like a tin opener. Minor stuff.
- WANG (10/5): fantastic. -
- David (8/5): Comfortable property, close to the centre of Launceston. - We had a comfortable stay close to the centre of Launceston. The property was clean and communication was excellent.
- Stefan (1/5): -
- Katarzyna (9/5): Comfortable and beautifully furnished house - Beautiful furnished home with all comforts and amenities required for a family vacation. Nothing we didn’t like. There was a little construction noise from works nearby but didn’t bother us as we are early risers.
- Chris (5/5): Not worth the cost - Property was unclean on arrival, chocolate wrappers on the floor and the backyard was unkept and overgrown so couldn’t be used. The house was smaller than the photos suggested. Overall for the price per night, this property didn’t meet expectations.
- Mitch (7/5): Character filled property, location is perfect to explore Launceston. - Property had great character, location is very convenient to most Launceston locations.
- Emily (8/5): Historic cottage in central Launceston location - Historic cottage, central location, responsive host. We had an issue with cleaners over the holiday break, but the host was very responsive to address & resolve.
- Mehmood (9/5): -
- Susanne (9/5): Wunderschöner Aufenthalt in einem charmanten Häuschen - Sehr charmantes Haus mit großem Garten, sehr gut Ausgestattet, Betten gut, tolle Lage, ruhig Barbecue war nicht sauber
- Kim (9/5): Great location, well set-up property, clean and comfortable. - Fantastic location, easy off-street parking. Great communication from host. The property was spotless and suited our needs. My only comment is that we did have my 90 year old mother with us and the step-in shower over the bath was a little difficult to navigate. But the rooms were lovely and the property was surprisingly quiet being next to such busy roads. Just the step-in shower over the bath for my 90 year-old mother.
- Andrew (10/5): Wonderful location. Comfortable cottage. - Wonderful location. Comfortable beds. Nothing not to like. Great spot :)
- Nicole (8/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Janine (10/5): - Lovely cottage, comfortable and cosy. Had everything we needed including a night by the outdoor fire pit.
- Alison (6/5): Pleasant one night stay - Good location, sweet cottage A few basics were missing
- Ian (8/5): -
- Kelly (4/5): House was very over priced , was cute but not really worth the money - Great location We lost power at 9.00pm and it never came back on until 3pm the following day , we were only there 1. Night
- Elisabeth (7/5): Cosy cottage stay in Launceston - Central and cosy cottage. Great to have a garden and off street parking. Very thoughtful to have some toys for kids too. Comfortable for a few days. Recommended. Some construction opposite property. We got out and about for most of our stay.
- 딱밤 (9/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): Launceston villa - Lovely, clean and tidy. Good shower. Restored old villa.
Easy location and host provided quick communication thank you.
- rick (10/5): -
- Jessica (9/5): -
- Jo Ann (5/5): Fair accommodation that was expensive, but ok for 1 night stay. - The house smelt nice, good heating in all rooms, bedding good. Only 1 bathroom which you need to access via bunkbeds in open hallway. Didn’t like rat sacks in kitchen and living area of the house, open access from inside hot water service to bathroom. Not enough living area for 5 guests.
- Hsiao Ying (9/5): - 有提供玩具,小孩很開心,距離city park超近,還有寬大的後院 淋浴的空間小,加上固定式蓮蓬頭,幫小孩洗澡比較不方便。
- Manuela (9/5): Wonderful stay, great hosts who were very accomodating -
- Taylor (10/5): Beautiful cosy stay in Launceston - A beautiful home that felt cosy and comfortable plus has everything you need. Perfect location in Launceston and the owner was very attentive with communication. Highly recommend this stay!
- Andrea (10/5): - Central location, everything you need was supplied.
- Renee (9/5): -
- D (9/5): - We loved the house. The quirkiness of it. Comfortable. Easy parking. Convenient location. Highly recommend.
- Carmel (9/5): We very much enjoyed our stay, would be happy to return and recommend. - Conveniently located, roomy, very clean and comfortable. There was nothing that we didn’t like
- Yip (7/5): - Vintage Insufficient hot water supply for 4 ppl in winter. It takes an hour or two to heat the water in the tank.
- Brendan Webb (9/5): Lovely getaway. Would use again. - Good location clost to the city and transport
- Shania (10/5): Great stay. Beautiful nights sleep and plenty to keep kids entertained - We loved our stay here. We booked it very last minute so didn’t have anything for the kids entertainment wise but upon arrival discovered that there was plenty of little toys and books to keep them entertained for the night. Beds were super comfortable as well. Will definitely be our go to for future Launceston trips.
- Zarate Rodriguez (10/5): - The place is great, it's like you're at home.
Excellent information, communication and follow-up.
I would definitely come back, I liked the place. A little dust in the house, perhaps the only thing that needs improvement, everything else is perfect.
- Cori (9/5): Superb - Great location for us. Clean and comfortable.
- Leanne (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed staying, would definitely stay again - Lovely , clean renovated cottage, close to city
- Sally (10/5): A lovely little cottage - perfect for 1 night stay - Clean and charming The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (9/5): Full of character in the best way. We would stay again - Everything we hoped for. Clean, good facilities. Pretty and plenty of character It was a bit chilly and it wasn’t clear in the ads that the third room was in fact a walkway through to the bathroom. Luckily our third person cancelled so it wasn’t an issue for us but I would suggest making it a. It clearer
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Toni (10/5): Exceptional - Period charm with modern convenience. Very comfortable and plenty of room to spread
- Josh (8/5): Great location, beautiful home and lots of space. - Great location, beautiful home and lots of space. The front two bedrooms were really lovely and great for singles or couples. Close to everything you needed and if you're looking for a garden and character, this place was perfect. We travelled in later months and there wasn't much lighting in the living areas when it got dark. The bathroom was at the back of the house and my partner and I slept on the bunk bed to allow my sister the double room at the front but it meant the rest of my family had to walk past us to use the toilet during the night.
- Danny (3/5): I'm not sure If call it tranquil for sleeping, but a great location for the stadium or the Uni. - The property was quaint and we'll appointed for two. The road noise from the highway. There is little to no sound deadening in the bedroom windows or walls.
- Matthew (7/5): Good -
- Brenton (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Gayle (7/5): Good - Nicely presented Someone came to the property at 8.20 this morning to collect laundry felt it could have waited till we’d checked out
- Teerapong (9/5): Superb - Room is good. Decorations are nice and look really cozy. The bunk beds are located not in a closed area.
- Kate (10/5): Fantastic property, great value for money! - Very clean and tidy and beautifully renovated.
- Joan (4/5): Disappointing - The property is not a proper 3-bedroom. The third room does not have a proper door, and since there are five of us, we all felt disappointed :( sorry
- Aoife (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely 1 night stay in this beautiful cottage. It was very cosy and homely. The host thought of everything. It would have been nice to have spent longer here and to make use of the firepit in the garden. Highly recommend this property, want to return again already.
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (10/5): Loved the cottage.my husband said he would love to buy it!! - Plenty of room. Shower was fabulous. Owner extremely helpful when needed. Location right near town. Would definitely stay here again. No milk in the fridge. Easy fixed as shops not far away
- Fabljq (8/5): Very good - - Homely setting, great location for a Pit stop night stay or even a night or two! - Bunk Beds is not a proper room & can be shaky for guests.
- Pip (9/5): Superb -
- Crystal (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the homely feel of this beautiful old recently renovated home. It is spacious and comfortable a great place for families to explore the surrounding areas but with that feeling of coming home. Large backyard and outdoor area with BBQ. Excellent attention to detail with some basic cooking ingredients (beautiful kitchen), toiletries and washing facilities also with some toys, games, colouring and books for the kids. The bed in main room was very comfortable.
- Grant (10/5): Cosy cottage - The cottage is very well appointed with decor and very comfortable home away from home...close to restaurants and cbd Launceston we felt it a great getaway many thanks to our Host Pete cheers Grant All good
- Malina (10/5): Great would stay there again! - The host of this property have thought of everything you may need to be comfortable and practical within the property. They have even back up chargers for your electronic devices and a great pod coffee machine. The back yard is huge, so very user friendly for families. It is a very well presented home. It has a very homely feel and everything that you would need to be comfortable. The location is good and plenty of parking.
- Daykin (10/5): Great little small home, perfect for a family or friends. - so much space and the host was so accommodating especially as we made such a last minute booking N/A
- Hayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (8/5): It was very good. Owner extremely good to communicate with and let us check in early - If weather was better outside space would have been wonderful. Whilst a short drive to the boat trip and Stillwater restaurant the Location could have been nicer
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (7/5): The cottage is cute but it was dirty - The garden It was dirty
- Greg (10/5): relaxing - the house was very comfortable and clean with all the little extras you want . the kitchen was ready to go , supplied with all the things you don't buy when you travel.
- Pamela (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Cottage was lovely and clean inside, with ample facilities and provisions. Back patio and was untidy was untidy.
- Chung (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathy (9/5): Superb - Everthing Food left from previous people
- Alexis (8/5): Very good -
- Courtney (8/5): Beautiful home and easy location to navigate Launceston. - Most comfy bed of our trip (in the master bedroom!)
Excellent games and books for entertaining the adults and kids!
Fantastic ‘extras’- laundry detergent, vegemite, etc. The shower curtain is not waterproof, it’s just a decorative liner. For the amount of money paid each night, a shower renovation is in need.
We didn’t venture into the backyard as the grass was very long!
- Lin (9/5): Superb -
- Jill (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home. Lovely decor, comfortable beds, everything we needed. Very pretty and extremely well cleaned and maintained. A bit of noise coming from the main road nearby, and the industrial area. But with the doors closed it wasn’t too bad.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Beautiful decorated space with every thing you need
- David (10/5): Awesome - I liked the house. It was very fun. Amazing architecture and incredible for a 100 year old house. The garden was really big and spacious I loved it.
- Kirsten (8/5): Very good - The breakfast offered was way more than expected. The home has a pretty stocked pantry and fridge which is way more than usually offered. Games/toys for kids to play with, comfortable beds and such a beautiful old home.
Pete is great to communicate with, and helpful should anything come up during the stay. The only thing that we struggled with was the heating in the home. There is one main wall heater and 3 panel heaters - we had all going as high as possible and it still wasn't enough. Launceston had a cold snap which made it extraordinarily cold but trying to get warm took away from our experience a little.
- Loewen (10/5): Gorgeous Cottage Home - While Away from Home! - No comfort was spared...everything possible was provided, including copious coffee and hot chocolate pods, books and toys for children, and extensive amenities.
The cottage was immaculate, clean and beautifully presented. We also contacted the owner in regards to a couple of items, the response was prompt!
We visited from Cairns, FNQ, and am very happy to say that my 4 year old felt immediately at home, there was plenty of bedding, lots of hot water and excellent heating.
Thank you for a lovely stay! It did take us a little while to work out the oven! Turn on the timer and then it'll work. We didn't find the manual until the following day, by then we'd worked it out.
A very minor inconvenience.
- Marie (9/5): Nice and neat cottage, enjoyed our stay - We loved the cottage, beds comfortable. It was a very cold day so the cottage was very cold on entering and took a while to warm it up. Took the heater from the back bedroom and put it on in the bathroom to warm it up. Otherwise all great. How cold it was
