Guest Reviews
- IAN (10/5): - Great location and charm
Good dining options nearby
Bed comfy All good … if anything, a few more PowerPoint options would be good
- Julie (7/5): - Great location in town. Ok for an overnight stay. Advert says private car park available, but you actually have to park in the street.
- Sue (9/5): Stunningly presented property central to everything. -
- Nadine (9/5): -
- candice (6/5): Ok for what we needed. Arrived at 9:30pm and left at 7am left at 7 - The location was fantastic The beds were very uncomfortable. There was a fair bit if dust behind the beds
- Leanne (9/5): -
- Chris (10/5): Excellent…will be back! - Great location
- Shane (10/5): -
- Joshua (8/5): Will definitely stay here again - Location was perfect. Loved having a small yard so we could bring our dog. Accommodation was very comfortable.
- Leeanne (7/5): Nice place but not really for me I like to have a seperate kitchette - Comfortable beds and nicely set out I would like to be able to open a window no windows would open
- Joshua (9/5): -
- Nick (2/5): Don't recommend. - Toilet wasn't flushed and had hairs around it, as well as the bathroom floor. Main room wasn't vacuumed.
For this amount of money atleast expect a clean room.
- Mathew (6/5): Great location but need to work on better cleaning - Location Need to work on cleaning
Coffee machine full and dirty
Pillows had off smell from I assume was from previous guests - for sure was not cleaned/ swapped for new.
- Jacqui (8/5): We loved staying there. Would definitely go again. - Beautifully furnished, comfortable, quietish (double glazed - so did a reasonable job despite a lot going on outside), brilliant location. No parking. Coffee cups in cupboard were not washed.
- Tanya (7/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Amazing stay in Mansfield - Super clean, new , tasteful decor. We absolutely loved it N/a
- Victoria (9/5): Comfy bed, great room - Location, big room, comfy bed
- Melinda (9/5): -
- Suzanne (2/5): - Location to the market as a stall holder was convenient. The a/c remote control did not work, the a/c was set to heat, I don't even know why they even had it on before arrival (and set to heat), outdoor temp during day was 30deg plus night was hot the heat in the bedroom was unbearable and hot air was pumping over the bed all night. A 6am alarm for market stall set up made for a very uncomfortable sleepless night.
The spiral Staircase was also a challenge 😳
Difficult to see in the dark to find the kitchen light, had to negotiate the spiral stairs in the dark! Light switch was not in an obvious place ( eg at entry door) Would be advisable to put a lamp down in the kitchen.
- Kerry (10/5): Comfortable and relaxing. - Clean, comfortable, great location and the host was extremely helpful.
- Cherie And David (8/5): Boutique lovely accommodation - Decor was lovely location perfect Stayed three nights fresh towels or at least two spares would have been nice
Lots of spiders webs up high too coming down
- Graeme (9/5): Great property, management lacking. - Great location and excellent room Unfortunately it was very difficult to contact the managers. Could not contact by phone and message left not returned. Sent an SMS as suggested on answering machine, no reply. Sent messages via Booking.com but not answered. It took some 2 hours from initial effort to contact management and booking being made to finally receive information about gaining access to our room.
- Patricia (8/5): A lovely stay - Location was excellent Comfortable beds
- Clive (8/5): Good - n/a All good
- Susie (9/5): Great place with lots of character, central to town. - Great location, double panel glass means the rooms are quiet. Nicely decorated, excellent bathroom with spa bath. All the kitchen amenities you need. The manager was very responsive and had great communication. They were very accommodating of my early arrival with a bike. Would highly recommend. The only things that I would change, and they are small things, is that the main bedhead needs a clean and there was only one teabag. Also quite hard to fill the kettle from the bathroom sink.
- Janet (9/5): -
- Anne (8/5): Great location bed and spa bath were great, good for an overnight stay -
- Balraj (10/5): -
- Thembe (8/5): -
- Diane (10/5): excellent service - the bed and linen As a suggestion a microwave for heating up small meals
- Eloise (9/5): Thank you for hosting us. We really appreciated it. - Location, parking (even though on street) was easy and appreciated. Furnishings made it feel like a real break away (we were traveling for sport commitments). Bed, spa and shower were fabulous! All good.
- Nicole (9/5): -
- Fairley (8/5): -
- Cyril (10/5): -
- Darren (8/5): Really good except would prefer to pay for accomm where pets not permitted - Great location Pet-friendly (remnants of dog hair and smell)
- Richard (8/5): - Great location
Fab bed Noisy aircon
No latch on bathroom door
- Kym (7/5): - The staff was very accommodating , understanding and kind in a stressful situation . We needed to evacuate due to the oncoming fires, The staff went out of there way to help us . Clean, location
- Tahlia (8/5): - Cute place, excellent location, had all the essentials and decorated nicely inside. Not really anything in the way of tea or coffee.
- Tom (1/5): Need to fix the windows, this wasdangeous! - We the rooms were beautiful. We had no power and it was 43 degrees. We couldn’t open a window because they were jammed. Very disappointing as we were travelling with family from Canada. Also no bins in the rooms.
- Phil (7/5): A bit of maintenance needed for a better review - Only Green tea supplied
- Steven (8/5): Had a nice time. Mansfield is a lovely town - Great location. Easy access. Shower could have been cleaner. Kitchenette was cheap and distracted from the heritage ambiance of the room.
- Dr Karen (10/5): - Style of accommodation Stairs are a little tricky for me this time as I had an accident 1 week prior and so more difficult to navigate
- Neale (9/5): -
- Jaan (7/5): -
- kate (10/5): -
- Kelly (8/5): Great old charm accomodation in a large room close to town - Location is excellent the room and bathroom sizes were large with the downstaies lounge a bonus Floor levels clean though spider webs up high in corners and in the bathroom
No milk left in the room either
- Sian (5/5): -
- Claudia (5/5): Great location, disappointing stay - Location The ceiling in the bedroom was filthy- it needed a good clean either with a broom or a mop. Other it felt dirty and I certainly did not want to touch anything in the cupboards in the kitchenette.
No milk or welcoming chocolates unlike other places in Mansfield
- Jane (8/5): Great location, walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Perfect for a group stay. - Fabulous location
Coffee machine and coffee bags : ) Street parking
Lamp in twin bedroom, difficult to plug in & needs attention
- Katherine (9/5): -
- Shae (8/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): - Very cute and pretty inside. Bed was comfortable. Spa bath was great. Location was perfect. Light in bathroom wasn’t working. I let the staff know afterwards and they just thanked me for letting them know, but didn’t apologize or anything that it wasn’t working for us.
- Fiona (9/5): -
- Middleton (10/5): Very comfortable - Perfect for what I needed Renovated old property
- Steven (3/5): Good quality but I value my sleep - Spacious, good quality fittings, liked the spa bath and location was great. It wasn’t clean, tea cups were dirty, towels were stained, dust in most places.
The main problem was being woken many times by a very loud noise in the plumbing.
- kate (9/5): - Location, privacy, character of building Mattress
- Douglas (8/5): - The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, in a great location close to everything you need in the main street. It was a bit expensive for a 1 night stay $260, spiral staircase to the bedroom/bathroom
- Liza (7/5): Comfortable accommodation centrally located - Central location The property needed a deep clean: -
The fabric bed head was stained and needed to be steamed and cleaned, or even better still, replaced.
There was thick dust on the bottom of the hanging wardrobe
Our room was particularly noisy - the appliances were making odd and loud noises all night long.
- Julianne (6/5): Central location and beautiful old building - The location The loft room was disappointing, as the sleeping area was very small, no where to store clothes and the kitchen area was uninviting and opened up to a communal living space.
- Colin (10/5): -
- Sheridan (10/5): Comfortable. - Large comfortable bed, quiet location,
In middle of town Almost empty soup container on bathroom sink and Palmolive brand shampoo. Would be better for what I paid and expected for a boutique hotel that specialty locally produced soap, shampoo, condition be provided and some hand cream would be what I would expect for accommodation stating that they are at a boutique luxury level
- maree (10/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): - Great location in the Main Street of Mansfield. Ideal two bedroom setup for a family or group of four.
- Himanshu (10/5): Enjoyed our stay in Mansfield - Beautiful property with great location. We couldn’t use the bath tub as the plug was missing and staff couldn’t supply one.
- peters (2/5): Will never go back if possible refund 50% of my funds. - No value for money , no sugar or tea bags, nothing boutique about the place Poor facilities mugs n cups chipped. Disgraceful. The location of place and pictures deceitful.
- Kaitlan (8/5): - Great location and easy check in. Comfy bed and great tea and coffee facilities. Very comfortable overall. The advertisement of a spa bath led us to book this particular accomodation however the plug provided did not even come close to fitting the bath and sadly we were unable to use it. The bath towels also had a light stain which was a bit off putting.
- Stayfluff (10/5): Great stay - Great location as it was near cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as east to get to Mount Buller and Mansfield Zoo. The owner provided great instructions on how to access the property. Comfortable big bed, nice spacious bathroom and it was nice and quiet. The bathroom was very cold, bathroom needs a heater or heat lights. The tv could get netflix as there was not much options to watch on television.
- Fiona (9/5): -
- Andrea (8/5): -
- Kimberly (10/5): -
- Jin (10/5): Very pleasant - It's in a very convenience spot and close to all facilities and shops. Perfect and nothing needs to be improved
- Jiaru (10/5): -
- Nicole (8/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): Loved it. Thanks you. - The location was excellent - a short walk to cafes and restaurants right in the middle of town, close to the snow fields. Loved the decor, high ceilings and just having the extra space. Such a lovely building. Hard to open windows to allow some fresh air in.
- Lisa (9/5): -
- Craig (8/5): Nice but would book another room not the loft. - All good , clean and well placed. Bad luck if you want a lie in or a chilled morning staying in The loft when it’s also the storage facility for cleaning staff . I wish I’d have known that-interruptions both days was not helpful. Cleaning staff very nice, not there fault but unfortunate there access was in our room? 🤨
- Cecilia (10/5): - Close to restaurants and supermarkets. Rooms are larger enough for family.
- Veronika (1/5): Exceptionally Disappointing - Location. The property was unsafe for my toddler with a winding open staircase and not enough room upstairs for a portacot. Upon checking in at 2pm I couldn’t call or get a hold of anyone and they only returned by call at 8:15pm when I already had to go somewhere else to stay as I couldn’t stay there with a child. They also wouldn’t refund me. So extremely disappointed.
- G (6/5): - The entry foyer and downstairs lounge stank of cigarette smoke.
- Lisa (10/5): - Easy check in and check out
Fantastic location
- Simone (10/5): - Right in the heart of the town and close to everything you need (food, shopping, rental hire, etc). Nice views, only a 30m drive to get to Mt Bulla if you are there for the snow.
- April (9/5): -
- Kamil (9/5): Great spot and great price - Price / location ratio is excellent, check in process is very smooth Heater only mildly warmed the room (20c)
- Carlo (9/5): -
- Deborah (10/5): Immaculate, spacious room with pristine facilities and super comfy bed! - Fabulous location in the centre of town, exceptionally comfortable bed and room, spotless modern bathroom. We loved it! Maybe supply bottled water in the fridge and some instructions for the spa bath? Other than that, facilities were great.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodations are very amazing. It exceeded my expectation.
- Dianne (7/5): Good -
- Daaboul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Beautiful old building, a very convenient location. - Great position Spiral stairs difficult. The downstairs sitting area was cold and not inviting. The area would feel warmer with a low table and a floor rug. The tiles are so cold.
- Fangfang (10/5): An exceptional stay—spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly luxurious for the price! - This motel was a fantastic find! Far better than typical budget stays—clean, comfortable, and surprisingly convenient .Would absolutely stay again! All good!
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pankaj (7/5): Good -
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Konstantin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Perfect location and spacious rooms - Spacious light rooms and well decorated. Additional lounge downstairs was nice.
- Tricia (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful room . Very comfortable. .
Bathroom was beautiful. The stairs . The coffee machine and kettle needed a clean besides that 👌 no drinking water .
- Brad (8/5): Would happily stay there again - Location and amazing old building and rooms.
Basic breakfast facilities but good cafes in the area. Had an issue with a power board so could only plug in the fridge or jug toaster etc one at a time.
But a not a big deal
- Megan (8/5): Absolutely perfect position and lovely feel. Just dont expect to hear back from anyone if you ring the contact number (n - Perfect position, couldn’t ask for better. Very pleasant decor. I had phoned two times and left a message to ask the property owner things but never heard back! Main bed springing on right side extremely noisy.
The powerboard for the kettle kept switching off, overloaded, when I used the kettle so had to take it to the bathroom to use. Too many strong fragrance reed diffusers, even if they may be covering up any rising damp perhaps. Had to move them outside during my stay.
