• Caroline (7/5): It was comfortable with a good location, yet an unusual smell persisted throughout our stay. - The location was very good. It was quiet on the night and the beds were comfortable. There was a usual smell present. There were only 2 English breakfast teabags available.

A due passi dalla fermata della metro di Notting Hill Gate, strategica per raggiungere tanti punti di interesse. La zona é tranquilla e piena di locali da asporto e soprattutto si é nel cuore della bellissima Notting Hill. L'appartamento é molto curato e pulito, con due bagni ideali se si é in due famiglie come noi. Dotato di tutto il necessario, lo abbiamo trovato ideale per il nostro soggiorno. Le scale per salire all'appartamento sono tante. Per noi non é stato un problema, avendo anche solo dei trolley, ma magari con valigie grandi o passeggini possono rappresentare una difficoltà.

• علي عبدالعزيز علي القحطاني (3/5): تجرّبه سيئة لن تتكرر ولا أتمناها لأحد - الموقع نوعاً ما لا يوجد مصعد وهي في الدور الرابع والدرج سيئ جداً ولا تكييف والغرفه العلويه منخفضه السقف ودرجها مشوه وغير قابل للاستخدام للإنسان الطبيعي ودوره المياه تصريفها سيئ ولا يوجد سخان ماء صالح تواصلو معي لاصلاحه بعدما سكنت قبل ان ابلغهم بعطله يعني عارفين المشكله وأجروني بالعيوب دون اهتمام سوى بمصلحتهم وعند فتح النوافذ مليانه عناكب وأعشاشها وغير نظيفه

• C (10/5): Flott, romslig og lys leilighet i rolig nabolag. - Utrolig romslig og lyst. Og med alt man kan trenger i en leilighet når man er på ferie. Litt støvete da vi kom, men ellers rent og pent.

Beautiful area to walk around, nice restaurants, very close to supermarkets and Notting Gate Tube for easy access to central London and all the main attractions, galleries, museums, theatres. Apartment was lovely, had all the conveniences - perfect for a family of 5. Shower temperature difficult to manage - only staying hot briefly and at times cold. We were aware when booking that there are a lot of stairs to the apartment and also within apartment - quite narrow in places. We could manage them but would be an issue for some.

Enjoyed the space in the apartment, very spacious throughout the apartment. Not enough bath towels. Would prefer air conditioning for those extremely hot days.

• Abdullah (8/5): Beautiful cozy Notting Hill penthouse - A beautiful and cozy penthouse with a complete and functional amenities for short and long stays. The apartment is beautifully decorated. The room in the attic is just wonderful. Kitchen is very well equipped. It even got its own air fryer which is very useful. Amazing location. Only minutes away from 5 supermarkets (walking distance) and plenty of restaurants. Very close to a tube station which is perfect for exploring the city. The penthouse is located on the top floor of the building. We need a few flight of stairs to reach the penthouse and no lift. Not recommended for someone traveling with babies or elderly person. I know that the property is already listed as “penthouse” but probably it’s better to spell it out in the description that it is on the top floor and has no lift for anyone who does not understand what a penthouse is.

And appreciated the recommendations from the host:) Amenities like shampoo and shower gel could be more adequate. A firmer mattress for the master room would be good. (Could feel the springs at some parts of the bed😅) and probably a solution needed to deal with the master room’s toilet where the floor doesn’t get so wet after each use.

Quiet due to being off the main street. Felt very safe in the neighborhood. The place was clean with updated amenities. The spiral death staircase leading into the penthouse. Next time I'll be weary when booking a Penthouse flat.

• Mahasin (9/5): Excellent location and comfortable stay - The apartment was excellent, clean, comfortable, had all what we need to stay. All the appliances were functional as it supposed. Location was excellent and near by there was underground station, restaurants, Hyde park was minutes away. The facility communication regarding the process of check in and out, and information provided as needed, made it easier for us to settle in. In addition to continue checking out if any help needed, was great. Thank you The apartment was on the fifth floor and the satires were kind of hard for the people not used to or unable to use satires, especially with luggage such as elderly or with health problems, it would be kind of the facility to mention that. The luggage storage location which was kindly shared by the facility was moved sometime ago, and we spent time looking for it (about more than an hour) till someone told us that it was moved, luckily later we found another storage location nearby.

• Ann (3/5): Very difficult and disappointing! - The neighborhood It was a fifth floor walkup with another floor of narrow winding stairs to get to the second bedroom. Bathroom was not properly cleaned. Interior of bldg very shabby. We ate in our early 80’s and would never have rented his apt had we known about all the stairs. Impossible situation for us!!!
• Salim (7/5): Excellent location, spacious. If something goes awry, be ready to advocate. - Excellent neighborhood. Super responsive staff. The apartment felt super new and well-appointed. The front door didn't work when we first arrived, and the first advice I was given was to ring other tenants to get into the building. This made me very uncomfortable, as I usually try to be sensitive and respectful as a tourist in an apartment setting and didn't want to be ringing random people. Additionally, we were awakened at 11:30 pm (we are traveling with children so turn in early) twice by someone else needing to get in. On Day 2 of our stay there was no lock, so the front door was simply left open so anyone could walk in. The lock was fixed on Day 3 of our stay. I get it that things happen, but when I raised concern I was told there is no "front desk" service... I did not enjoy the hosts essentially making it the responsibility of everyone else that we had access to the building or that the building was secure. It's an expensive property. Having a great location isn't enough. I received prompt replies and sympathy from the property management, but I'd expect more urgency than sympathy for the price. All-in-all it was fine, and that is why we rated 7.

• O'connor (5/5): Passable - The location was great with public transport very available. Stores, dinning, pubs , all accessible. Our apartment was located on the fourth floor. The stairs to the apartment became more inclined as we moved up. The final approach to the apartment door was grabbing onto railings and reaching for the door knob.
• Rick (1/5): WARNING TO SENIORS - DO NOT RENT THIS FACILITY - Nothing IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE CLEAR FROM THE VERY BEGINNING THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR. IT ALSO SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE CLEAR SUITCASES CAN NOT BE TAKEN TO THE UPSTAIRS BEDROOM. IT SHOULD HAVE ALSO BEEN MADE CLEAR THERE IS NO CLOTHES DRYER. The four of us were seniors ranging in age from 68 to almost 80. Two of us have bad hearts. It was extremely difficult to carry our luggage up 3 long and steep flights of stairs. We DID NOT find out until too late there was not an elevator. I would not recommend this facility to anyone over 50. Pictures are of the stairs up to second floor bedroom.

The flat was accessed after climbing approximately 70+ stairs. This was not disclosed in the description and necessitated us booking a nearby hotel for our older family members.

However, do not stay here if you have any mobility issues, PenthouseStays have decided not to tell potential guests that there are 5 flights of stairs to the apartment!! Very deceptive! Luckily we were ok but I feel for anyone booking this place without knowing the truth! 1. The stairs were steep and there’s lots of them! No lift so very difficult with luggage! 2. The stairs to the upper bedroom ridiculous! Narrow, incredibly steep, uneven with a tight twist so incredibly difficult to navigate!! Very dangerous if you have to go to the toilet during the night 3. No hot water on our first morning!! Eventually sorted but all of us endured freezing showers!! We wasted so much time on Saturday morning sorting out the issue! 4. The beds (all of them) are absolutely dreadful! They are like sleeping on the floor! Dreadful mattresses really cheap hard and thin! Hip ache, back ache, neck ache! Cheap nasty pillows. 5. The sofa beds in the living area.. not fit for purpose and certainly not wide enough for 2 people! The most incredibly uncomfortable hard bed! No one got a good nights sleep! 6. 5 of us staying 4 knives and 2 teaspoons! 7. The place was superficially clean but could do with a real deep clean! Light fitting in living area thick with dust! 8. Top bedroom has sloping roof! Lots of bumped heads as restricted head room! No mirror at all upstairs, no extra hairdryer, nowhere to hang clothes as no wardrobes. One of the bathrooms is en suite to the downstairs bedroom.

The apartment on the top floor of an elegant 19th century house was clean, stylish comfortable and well equipped. comfortable beds which were proper doubles and two decent bathrooms with good showers. responsive management checked in daily by WhatsApp. Quiet. outside of the building and common parts scruffy. steep narrow stairs to the top floor a bit of a struggle with luggage. steep narrow stairs up to second bedroom which had limited headroom but was lovely. wardrobe in main bedroom full of spare bedding so essentially unusable but a good separate hanging rail. no tea towel. tv not up to much but iplayer worked which was fine.
