• Karol (7/5): Great apartment, but the location is a serious issue for a family. - The apartment itself was excellent – clean, spacious, modern, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable bed, strong Wi-Fi, good air conditioning, and a well-stocked kitchen. If you're just looking for a well-equipped place to stay and don’t mind the rough surroundings, this apartment is a great choice. But for a family or someone who values a calm, safe environment and proximity to central Athens, it may not be ideal. In a better neighborhood, this would’ve been a perfect 10. The location was a major downside. The apartment is situated in the Agios Nikolaos area, which felt rough and unsafe, especially after dark. Many buildings in the neighborhood are run-down and heavily covered in graffiti. There’s a strong presence of groups loitering on the street, and we did not feel comfortable going out in the evening. Another issue is the noise – the metro runs just below or right next to the building, and trains pass by every few minutes, which you can clearly hear inside the apartment, especially at night. Also, the location shown on Booking.com is misleading – the apartment is further from the city center than the map suggests.
