• Freedom (10/5): An excellent oasis from the hustle and bustle and tourist areas - The view and location without a doubt is what makes this place a great apartment if you were staying a little bit longer in Hanoi. You can’t beat it. The kitchen needs an update in terms of the cupboards cleaned out and maybe modernised to suit the rest of the apartment. Additionally, the entrance and staircase could do with more lighting. As a solo Traveller I often had to wear a torch on my head to see where I was going in the mornings and at night.

• Joanna (10/5): Homely, comfortable property in good locatin with self checkin - I loved that the apartment is in the old French style, has a beautiful view over the Lake and is in a good location. All facilities very comfortable and homely. Stairwell is a bit cluttered.

• Saskia (10/5): Loved staying here!!!! - This was a lovely place to stay in Hanoi. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the view is just amazing! Theres is a café downstairs and there are lots of other cafes and restaurants on the same street, so you never run out of options. Very peaceful location right by the lake. Would definitely stay here again!

As a regular visitor to Hanoi / Westlake I’d book elsewhere next time. - * great view from the room. * Spacious room. * comfortable mattress. * quiet neighbourhood. * walking distance to amenities, cafes and sights. * great standing balcony. * stairwell to room is unsafe and unmanageable with luggage. We needed to empty the contents of our cases into small bags to then make several trips up a 40cm wide, cluttered stairwell to the fourth floor arrive and depart the stay. * Bed cover is too small for two people, it’s the same width as mattress, so hardly covers two. * Communications with the host were really patchy, many hours between responses. * tv is intermittent, we finally had it working, after many attempts. * shower gel and hand wash containers were almost empty on arrival. * toilet was leaking at the base, wet feet in the night is not fun.
