Guest Reviews
- Italo (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay - The property is very close to the shops. The room upstairs gives a nice feeling of a bigger place, the pool was amazing… Unfortunately, the property was not well cleaned when we checked in.
- Jens (9/5): - Zentrale Lage
- Craig (7/5): -
- Melissa (8/5): - Swimming pool outside your door, pure luxury!
- Sam (10/5): It was amazing / tropical paradice - Loved the layout and location N/A
- Candice (8/5): -
- Ryu (10/5): -
- Kelly (7/5): -
- Scott (8/5): Restful - Bush located Proximity to the Tai Restaurant & the bus stop
- Anne-Sophie (8/5): Great stay, would definitely stay again, would only like it a bit cleaner in the future - Beautiful and quiet place. Unfortunately it wasn’t super clean. Hair in the bathroom, stains and breadcrumbs in the kitchen etc.

- Rohan (10/5): -
- Emma (8/5): - Very peaceful setting, clean and great air con. Great location for car hire, getting the bus and walking trails.
- Leonie (8/5): A good location (longish walk to town) - better if you’ve got a car, but beautiful peaceful surroundings. - Lots of equipment in the kitchen which was great. Useful necessities in the pantry (salt and pepper, oil, soy sauce etc) and some information about bus timetables, walking tracks etc Lighting was a bit dull in the lounge if you were trying to read. A lamp provided but not enough. Otherwise it was good.

- Sarah (10/5): Relaxing romantic getaway - Great location, comfy bed and easy check in/ check out process. Perfect for the two of us for our anniversary. There is an amazing woodfire pizza place just down the road! We also spent a fair bit of time at Picnic Bay as it was nice and quiet at that end of the island and this was very easy for us to drive to as we had a car. Shower head/ pressure could have been better but was adequate.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Tania (9/5): We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for thoughtfully well set up accommodation that feels like home - yet a - It was in a quiet location yet handy to all that Magnetic Island had to offer. There was room to move and enjoy a short stay, including a washer and dryer! The distance between bed and bathroom…. But that is only a small inconvenience. The shower/bath combo would not be great for some older people who may slip over.
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional - Hidden little gem of a place to get away
- Stephen (10/5): We would highly recommend staying here.its petfevt - The chalet was just perfect. Picture perfect. The owners have gone above and beyond. From the minute you walked into the place. You felt at home. The set out. The furnishings. The little extras. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The stocked pantry was a bonus. You even
Have undercover parking The pool was the best. Do your self a favour and stay and stay here. I know we won’t stay anywhere else now. All the walking. lol. We will hire bikes or a car for the whole time we are there nrct time. But that was on us not the owners.
The bbq could use some tlc. But not a biggie. There are plenty of bbqd on the bays.
- Palmer (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jurgen (9/5): Superb - Much nicer than any hotel room. I easily could live in one of the chalet permanently. The only one small negative thing that I can say is that no teabags were provided. But if you are a coffee drinker you are well catered for.
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): A perfect place to relax. - Canopy chalets are a little slice of heaven. The chalet was spotless and contained all sorts of useful bits and pieces right down to games and a first aid kit. The property was pleasant and the pool very inviting. It's a short walk to the supermarket and ferry terminal (although with luggage, catch the bus).
It is the perfect place to relax for a few days. A fan on the outside patio would have been useful when sitting outside.
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (9/5): Superb -
- Kara (10/5): Exceptional - The chalet was cosy and had everything I needed for the weekend. Early check-in was an amazing bonus.
- Jessica (10/5): Cute and comfortable in paradise - I had the loveliest time staying at the chalet. It was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything I could possibly need during my stay. There is a grocery store just a few minutes walk away.
Check-in and out was a breeze.
The host was very generous and communicated well.
I will stay again next time I'm on the island.
Thank you! 🙂 There was some noise from the neighbouring chalet, as one of the permanent residents has a small dog that yapped at every passerby and bird it saw. Wasn't too bothersome, but noticeable.
- Bobbi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (9/5): Superb - We liked that it was roomy, quiet and very comfortable. Beautiful pool. Liked that it had a washing machine and dryer. If only the bed mattress was firmer. Otherwise all perfect.
- Stephen (9/5): Lovely holiday, right mix of activity and relaxing - just what we needed, - The lady preparing the property (not the owner) lived next door, and was friendly, chatty and offered advice throughout our stay if we wanted. We received an email around the time we left the property , but didn't see it until later, with instructions about leaving. Would have been better to have received it the evening before, or in the welcome booklet.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): Beautiful property, perfect for what I needed! The pool is lovely and the bus stop is very close to explore the island. - Gorgeous property, pool was lovely and comfortable bed! The birds sounded beautiful but not at 5am😫

- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerry (8/5): Peacefull, great tv & extras (netflix). Grounds lovely, overall enjoyed our stay. - The bed was super soft and the ants are everywhere
- Victoria (9/5): Lovely chalet - Nice location, property was clean and aircon worked well. Enjoyed the free cookies too at check in. Shower wasn’t the best and bathroom could do with being updated.
- Claire (8/5): A very relaxing stay. - The bus from the ferry drops you right at the entrance and is very cheap. It is a quick walk to the nearest supermarket and the nearest beach. The pool is lovely and you don’t have to worry about stingers. We were there when the humidity was very high so it took a lot of energy to get out and see the sights. But that was ok because we really just wanted to relax and the air conditioning was very efficient.
- Kristy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (9/5): Superb -
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this property and would definitely return. Shops, waterfront, restaurants, coffee cart and bus are all nearby, as are smartbikes for hire. We had everything we needed in the chalet for our 4 night stay. The pool in the complex is a perfect mini oasis.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Storey (8/5): Very good - Clean and modern in nature Bed was really uncomfortable.
- Dianne (10/5): Great stay would definitely recommend and stay again - We loved everything about our stay here.
The accommodation was clean and well appointed the pool was close it had everything we needed
All at a reasonable price
- Christian (10/5): Great little oasis - Beautiful Chalet in a great location. It was very clean and very well equipped with a nice pool. The location is great, quiet and peaceful to enjoy the stunning nature of the island but just a short walk to the next supermarket, great coffee place and a fantastic Thai restaurant. Also close to the beach and bus stop to get around easily. Highly recommend!
- Lucy (10/5): A relaxing home in Nelly Bay. - Canopy 5 was a pleasure to call home for 4 nights. The loft bedroom and open plan living were perfect for a couple. The house had everything we needed for our stay and was an easy bike ride/ walk from lovely cafes and a well stocked supermarket. Set back off the street, we were undisturbed by traffic.
- Smith (10/5): Excellent, well worth booking. - Awesome little chalet great for both myself and my partner, very clean and well equipped for a couple of nights away. Nothing, it was great
- Craig (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (10/5): Fantastic - Beautiful quiet place There was nothing I disliked
- Ken (8/5): Large comfortable chalet - Nice and roomy chalet with all facilities, pool was very good Neighbours behind the chalet were very noisy
- Allen (10/5): Quality accommodation in a quiet yet convenient location. - In a quiet location with a lovely pool. Spacious, functional layout with well thought out inclusions. Good cooking facilities and full size fridge. Plenty of hot water. Short flat walk to the Foodworks supermarket, bottle shop and the outstanding Saltwater (BYO) restaurant. Bus stop at the end of the drive to go to the IGA near the ferry terminal or explore the island (the 7 day bus pass is a bargain). All in all a lovely holiday in first class accommodation at a reasonable price. Owner very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. Nothing - it was great.
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (9/5): Superb - very comfortable bed, quiet location.
- Lucas (9/5): Superb - Early check-in was offered (not required) as well as late check-out which was accommodated :)
- Olivia (9/5): Superb -
- Jess (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (2/5): Very poor - The villa I stayed in, had insects, cockroach and lizard cleaness
- Natalie (9/5): Great place to stay as a base for exploring the island , or simply to relax and take in the rainforest sounds. wonderful - lovely and homely ! great location and comfortable
- Brett (9/5): Superb - Quiet neighbourhood.
Great selection of basic pantry items.
Shame we didn't think to book when we walked to Thai Again on Saturday night. Great that there are some good restaurants so close. The bed and pillows were extra soft; not my preference, but then I'm a little fussy!
- Bernadette (8/5): It was a beautyfull place to stay - The chalet was super sweet. We loved the tinyhouse. The garden with the pool was also very nice. We had everything we needed. The chalet could be better cleaned. In the kitchen and leandryroom.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denis (9/5): Wonderful property . Would happily stay again.😀 -
- Barrett (10/5): Exceptional -

- Chloe (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Pillows where not suited to me but I suppose that is a personal choice
- Georgina (8/5): Very good -
- Soo (8/5): Very good - It was quiet and private, everything was clean and equipped. The host lady let us leave the bags early too. The coffee machine didnt work, and there was no coffee shop near by so i struggled a bit lol.
- Nicole (9/5): Exactly what I needed for this stay - the property was amazing. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, it had everything you would need, located in a quiet location. I would highly recommend staying here unfortunately when I arrived, there had been a mix up and therefore the place wasn’t cleaned. This was very quickly rectified and when I returned, the place was immaculate.
- Ross (9/5): Relaxing and comfortable, would definitely recommend. - Lovely secluded location, great swimming pool, comfy bed. It was nice to have some catering essentials available in the cupboard such as salt, pepper oils etc and plenty of cleaning supplies. Although we didn’t use it there was a large BBQ and cook area. The host responded to questions promptly and was very helpful. The toilet having to be on a separate floor to the mezzanine bedroom.
- Kim (10/5): Excellent, will definitely recommend to family & friends and love to go back! - It had all the home comforts. A lot of thought had been put into the facilities.
- Shane (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (8/5): Very good -
- Stephanie (10/5): Comfy and well located - What a gem! Beautifully furnished villa with everything needed. Felt most welcome with music and chocolates on arrival..
Bus stop at your door step or a 20 min walk to the ferry. A couple of nice restaurants within 5 min walk.
Smart TV and wifi work like a charm. A luggage storage would be great.
- Robin (9/5): Superb -
- Phil (8/5): comfortable and quiet place to stay - Seclusion and privacy.
- Peter (9/5): Canopy 5 is lush hideaway and very central. - Complex very pretty with flowers around the pool. Big smart TV with Netflix & Stan. Good kitchen with all cooking needs catered for. Host catered for our pet with surprise treat on arrival. Not a fan of bath shower as can be a slip hazard and the bed was too soft. Fridge light not working which was a pain at night.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
