Guest Reviews
- Tania (10/5): Once again this property and the hosts lived up to expectations. Would definitely stay again. -
- Tracy (8/5): -
- Judd (8/5): Great value for money 💰 and we enjoyed our stay 🙂 - Spacious, very homely and comfortable ☺️ Floor boards are very loud and squeaky
And no wifi.
But other than that it was great and would recommend to others 🙂
- Sue (7/5): Good - Older style apartment in great location in city centre, nicely decorated with courtyard, laundry facilities & comfortable beds. Would benefit from additional lighting or lamp in the loungeroom.
- Ksenia (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very clean, and the host was exceptionally accommodating.
The apartment had a very beautiful homely feel to it, and I will gladly stay there again The stairs up to the front entrance were a bit steep, probably best to give more reminders to people in that regards for future reference, perfectly ok for young people and anyone fit, but may not suite everyone.
- Wilfried (6/5): A well located unit but suitable only for young agile people. - The location was good. And it was light and airy It was difficult to access. There were 16 very steep steps from a back entrance which was hard to find and not safe to park in overnight. We are elderly and it was very difficult carrying luggage up and down the steps. There was no way to use the dishwasher-no cleaning agent, no tea towel or sponge for washing up.
- Traci-ann (7/5): Good location and spacez - Spacious apartment with good TV and kitchen, located close to main street A bit dirty (dishes and dust) and no exhaust in bathroom
- Patricia (8/5): Very good - Security to unit as no locks on either the door or gate at top of stairs. We had a homeless man sleeping in front of our car who asked us for money.
- Vaclav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (7/5): Good - Great location, comfortable beds Only 3 dining chairs at table.
Frypans need replacing as old and buckled.
Air conditioners in bedroom rattled throughout the night
- Murray (8/5): Very good -
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (6/5): Clean & comfy, could use a little care - Good location in centre of town Staff were helpful, however there were a number of maintenance issues and poor lighting in living areas. Stairs leading to apartment very steep
- Frank (9/5): A very clean, comfortable and well-furnished apartment in a great location. - A very clean, comfortable and well-furnished apartment that exceeded our expectations. The A/C units were in good working condition. We also found the location to be very convenient and secure. The off-street parking was also nice. I would recommend this apartment to others. Definitely good value for money for a group of 3-4 people.
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Jacob (8/5): Very good -
- Neil (3/5): Very disappointed with this unit - The location was good Stairs..if you were “old” or had a mobility problem you would find the stairs almost impossible to climb as they were vey steep.
In the kitchen, the dishwasher was held together with a plastic strap and there was a gaping hole where the exhaust fan would go.
The floors were wooden and very loose and therefore when you walked, the noise was very loud. The unit needed a spruce up as it was very “used” and rundown.
The owners didn’t contact me the 24 hours before with the key code and therefore I had to call them( through the tenant of the downstairs) for it.
- Vaclav (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, clean and comfortable throughout.
- Selena (7/5): Great location and comfortable - We really liked the spaciousness and well appointed kitchen. Linen was lovely too. The cold water tap in the kitchen was terribly hard to turn off. Tap needs a new washer. Tv remote was intermittent. May need new batteries. Towel rack in bathroom was loose and came away from the wall. The location of the unit at the back of the building needs much clearer directions as well as number, name of apartment and street number clearly shown outside the building.
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Rosslyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (7/5): Good location and reasonable price - There was no breakfast other than a ceral on the side of the cupboard Some things were starting to look tierd which were reported to owner such as taps. However lounges were slightly uncomfortable
- Kristy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (7/5): enjoyed our stay at unit very handy to fertilities. - n/a access steps very slippery when wet '' dangerous '' electrical wiring near stove exposed
- Angela (9/5): Central, clean and spacious - Really comfortable and well appointed. Gorgeous retro feel and styling. Close to town centre hotels shops etc. perfect for our stay. All good
- Daniel (7/5): Really enjoyed our stay in Broken Hill and would have liked to stay longer. - Location was great. Right in the centre of town which was what we wanted. Felt part of the town. Nice old building with wooden floors and high ceilings. We stayed in July which is cold in evening and morning and appreciated heating in apartment. Apartment did not have wifi. Very disappointing and made it difficult to make our onward travel arrangements and contact owner.
On a personal note I prefer white bed linen.
- Jillian (9/5): Exceptional - Excellent location and com for table. we loved the property. The only inconvenience was that we were given the incorrect code to get in, new batteries in the A/C were required and there was only 1 wineglass.
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jannaa2 (9/5): Wonderful place to feel part of Broken Hill - Lovely light-filled apartment downtown, convenient to shops and hotels, with a partial view of the Line of Lode. It is in an old building with high ceilings and has been sensitively renovated, keeping touches like the terrazzo bathroom. Very comfortable and clean. Not really a problem, but some of the floor boards are very noisy! The apartment is on second floor if steps are an issue.
- William (5/5): Passable -
- Peter (9/5): It seems to us that we would seek to book this venue again,we wouldn't bother to look elsewhere - Location and parking was terrific, many of the sights are within an easy walking distance, the place itself is very roomy and the airconditioning works well on those hot occasions.Host was friendly and gave us terrific advice. In fact everyone we met at Broken Hill was friendly. just a couple of minor maintenance issues but they did not impact on us at all
