• Rahel (3/5): Lage Top der Rest leider nicht - Lage war Top Frühstück ok, Mitarbeiter durchwegs freundlich Total verwohntes Zimmer, der Teppich wirklich ein Graus. Der angepriesene Spielplatz, ein verlotterter Rest. Teile vom Holzspielhaus liegen überall rum. Das Zimmer ist schon jetzt im Mai extrem heiss (29Grad) mit offenem Fenster kühlte es Abends etwas, bis Mitternacht aber unerträglicher Lärm von der angrenzenden Wiese und auch nach Mitternacht war noch Musik zu hören (ich denke aus dem Restaurant). Das Restaurant soll ja gut sein, allerdings finde ich 2026 gehört zumindest ein vegetarisches Gericht auf die Karte und nicht nur Salat… War für die Durchreise ok aber für den Preis hätte ich doch etwas mehr erwartet. Das Frühstück war ok, Schockopulver ein Jahr abgelaufen, passt irgendwie zum ganzen… Ein bisschen aufräumen in der Umgebung und einige sanfte Renovierungsarbeiten könnten ein echtes Schätzchen wieder erwecken…

• Reinhart (4/5): - Die Lage am See ist schön. Das Hotel stark in die Jahre gekommen. Man sieht, dass wenig bis nichts investiert wiurde. Der niedrige Übernachtungs-Preis hätte uns stutzig machen sollen. Das Hotel ist Montag und Dienstag telefonisch nicht zu ereichen. Nach ca 1 Stunde habe ich eine Putzfrau erreicht. Die dann wiederum zur Inhaberin Kontakt aufgenommen hat. Am Telefon werden die Telefon-Nummern in Französisch so schnell heruntergerattert, dass das kein Mensch versteht. Restaurant ist schön, doch leider ging es mir nach dem Abendessen Salat mit Scampis und geräuchertem Lachs am nächsten Tag sehr sehr schlecht. Möchte nicht näher darauf eingehen. Mussten dann nächste Apotheke aufsuchen. Die Erreichbarkeit des Personals tagsüber ist überhaupt nicht gegeben. Das Personal höchst unfreundlich. So was habe ich in der Schweiz noch nie in den letzten 20 Jahren erlebt. Kann also das Hotel überhaupt nicht empfehlen.

• Philippe (5/5): Attirant mais décevant - L’emplacement parfait au bord du lac… Hôtel vétuste et d’un autre siècle… il y avait une douche dans la chambre mais pas de toilettes… ce n’est pas dramatique en soi si on est au courant et si le tarif n’est pas exhorbitant… ce qui n’était pas le cas. De plus le petit déjeuner est réduit à sa plus simple expression, une fois encore pas du tout à la hauteur du tarif …,

• Denis (7/5): Séjour agréable - Très bel emplacement, calme et accueillant Pourrait offrir un peu plus de diversité au petit-déjeuner (pas de fromage ni de thé vert, par ex.) Chambre assez petite. Tout le bâtiment possède un certain charme, mais il mériterait une bonne rénovation.

• Meghan (10/5): Basic and a little dated but clean, friendly and reasonably priced! - This the 3rd time that we have stayed at this hotel. It is basic but clean and has all the facilities we needed. Some of the rooms don't have a lakeview or ensuite toilet, but we knew this and requested it beforehand. The staff are always polite, the breakfast consists of fruit, juice, cereals, bread, and sometimes meat and cheese depending on how busy the hotel is. The hotel is reasonably priced and beats many of the other hotels. The hotel is around a 25 minute walk from the station, so a car would be more beneficial. There is a bus which makes the walk shorter, but there is still a walk nonetheless. There also isn't a shop or restaurant nearby, the hotel restaurant is only open for 3 or 4 days a week so meal planning was more tricky.

• Brett (9/5): Nice lakeside property a short walk from offices in Gland with a good breakfast and comfortable room - Good location for lakeside property, short 15 minute walk along country road to Ramsar/IUCN/WWF office, light breakfast with excellent coffee and fresh-baked croissants, comfortable room, check-in was easier arriving during regular hours this trip. Inexpensive compared to hotels in Nyon without the hassle of trains to Gland. Nice birds in the garden including a flock of Long-tailed Tits and a pair of Firecrests. Heating was not working in my room for the first night but was relocated to another room with a good heater for the rest of my stay for the week.

• Wieslaw (2/5): Not a perfect place - It was near the lake , and they have free parking. It was very cold, around 19 degrees. I tried to contact the owner but I didn't get any answer. During breakfast noone told me that I can have something warm to eat too. I spotted it on the last day when they serve eggs to other customer. The staff do not know English or very little. I asked for the room with lake view, but it was without bedroom, and noone offered any discount.

• Victoria (1/5): Disappointed. - Location… if you get the lake view Booked a Twin room with two beds, lake view, private bathroom. We got a double bed, room looking over the car park. Shared toilets. Staff on duty at night wouldn’t speak to us about being in the wrong room. Staff in the morning told us that despite adverts for several twin rooms that the hotel simply doesn’t have twin rooms. Promised a refund of two nights we didn’t used but that has not been forthcoming.

• Thierry (7/5): À part la chambre, très bien - L’accueil, le site, le restaurant excellent, Nous n’avons pas eu une chambre face au lac comme prévu dans notre réservation mais sur la cour à l’entrée de l’hôtel , assez bruyant , la salle de bain très obsolète, c’est vraiment trop ancien.

Specjalizują się w rybach. Rano można wyjść na spacer nad jezioro. Sam hotel przypomina bardziej schronisko górskie. Zdecydowanie cena za wysoka jak na standard. Ale to Szwajcaria przecież i jeden z niewielu w tym budżecie dostępny obiekt w tej okolicy.

We were disappointed to find that although advertised as having a private bathroom the toilet was across the corridor and not solely for us. The floor of the shower area was damaged.

We did not meet any one this morning which we thought was a very poor show . I was luky that I had paid for the 6 rooms and dinner for 7 last night other wise we would have had to leave without paying !!.

• Brett (8/5): Nice location next to the lake, half hour walk from train, affordable stay for a week. - Rural location half hour walk from the train station but close to headquarters for IUCN/WWF/Ramsar. Basic breakfast but good coffee. Rooms clean and comfortable. Arrived in evening and took some time to contact staff and collect the room key.

Classic old world charm if you like that sort of thing. - It’s location The ‘en-suite’ facilities consisted a shower and sink, no toilet. The single shared wc was down the corridor, shared with goodness knows home many other guests. I’m lactose intolerant, there wasn’t a single alternative to dairy at breakfast, a croissant and bread does not constitute a continental breakfast. There was a single bottle of water on arrival, never replenished. It was unbearably hot on the second floor, even with the fan on full blast moving the hot air around, consider portable air conditioning units as an alternative.
