• kate (7/5): - It's a great location however our view was obstructed by the scaffolding. Central yet quiet location. Was clean enough and comfortable, facilities were as promised. We didn't get our voucher as promised. Messaged staff and had no response until too late. Carpet was stained and blinds didn't work. Ambience was kind of ruined by the work site.

The voucher made dinner an easy choice - always a bonus when travelling with small children! The check-in instructions could have been clearer - the letterbox containing the key is inside the driveway to the underground carpark and isn't visible from the road.

Easy access to the room and underground parking Noisy being next to the pub on a Friday and Saturday night. Water kept running in the spare toilet. Ensuite shower tiles needed a really good scrub

• Michael (3/5): It was dated and shabby- very disappointing. It was cheap- and that pretty much sums it up. - The location is excellent overlooking Lake Wendouree, and close to downtown Ballarat. Of the 4 powered blinds in the main bedroom, one worked, 2 were permanently down and the other was not attached being left lying on the ground. Contact with owner proved to be a waste of time. The apartment was only just clean with cobwebs around the dirty doors and windows . The balcony hadn’t been cleaned- there was food left on the floor. I’d suggest employing other “professional” cleaners as the current ones aren’t doing their job very well. Utensils, towels and linen ( and there was an overabundance taking up most space in the wardrobe ) had seen better days. There were coffee pods for the coffee machine but no milk in the fridge. There was no information sheet about the apartment, the area, sights to see, etc. Maybe the owners should stay in quality accommodation and try to emulate what makes a comfortable pleasant stay. It was all pretty shabby.
