Guest Reviews
- Tina (1/5): Total shit from liars and scammers - Nothing as they called and cancelled 4 hours before check saying maintenance then lied and said they never made the call and have refused to let us get a refund saying they waited for us to arrive. Absolutely everything they are liars and scammers they cancelled by call 4 hours before check in then lied about it saying they never called. Numerous calls to them but they blocked my number and almost spoilt the whole weekend my son had arranged as a Mother’s Day treat. These people are the lowest of the low and Booking.com don’t care numerous bad reviews but they still side with them and no refund for the cancellation they made.

- Bruno (7/5): - The location was different from the address on Booking. But it was not bad. It was not very clean
- Samuel (1/5): Didn’t let us stay in the room we had booked. - Nothing Everything
- Nolan (1/5): -
- Tyler (1/5): Disgusting - Nothing Loved all the bed bugs, and no towels or toilet paper and the fact we asked the host for these and they looked at the message and didn’t reply
- Adam (1/5): -
- Elizabeth (5/5): It was ok but I wouldn’t stay again - It felt safe and was clean Advertised as having TV and wi fi neither worked
- Lisa (2/5): DON'T TRUST - Just the location. Firstly want to state we paid for private parking (in which he was keen to send over details to pay STRAIGHT AWAY making me feel rushed to pay so please be careful) when we arrived I let him know we were outside waiting on where to park. He then stated to park on the side of the road.. even though we'd paid for private parking. I then had to remind him that we paid and he then showed us where to park. If I didn't say we paid we would've been parked on the side of the road.
The room itself wasn't in the best condition and bathroom stunk so we couldn't shower. Mold along the windows and one window wouldn't lock properly.
Overall a great location for visiting the o2 but definitely consider other apartments as this one was shockingly bad.
Terrible communication/service and awful apartment.
- Parfitt (9/5): -
- Daniel (5/5): The gentleman who met us to hand the keys over was lovely 5*, the apartment was £85 a night at best - The host Nur Muhammad Khan was lovely he helped all he could, couldn't fault the guy. Probably needs a pay increase to be fair The apartment was 50 mins away from venue not like it stated on website, we were told 2X double beds and got 1X double bed and a corner sofa, the bed was harder than riga mortis but hey homeless people have it worse is guess.
- Brian (5/5): - No towels and the bathroom was not the best condition.
- Rong (8/5): - Komfortabel Dusche ist schwer zu bedienen
- Titilayo (6/5): -
- Leah (3/5): - Horrible communication from staff, no bathroom, mold in the wardrobe and not given the room we booked.
- Zelah (1/5): Awful, disgusting - Didn’t get to see the property as we were turned away The owners were nasty
- Joshua (1/5): Staff was so rude and asked for £250 deposit when the website does not mention it - Was not what the picture showed no balcony shared bathroom
- Robert (1/5): - Nothing Everything
- Beverley (1/5): Room not as advertised - avoid this company - The size of the room. It was unclean, there were used toiletries in the bathroom.
The external patio door did not close, letting road noise into the room.
The curtains were thin and let in the light from the DLR station into the room.
I had to pay £50 extra to get a room per the advert (with a kitchen), instead of just a bed.
I slept for 45 minutes in total, when usually I can sleep for 6-8+ hours.
- Felicity (4/5): Misleading - The location was close to the arena. It didn’t state it was a communal shared bathroom. Other visitors kept us up all night, the sink was blocked, the toilet was dirty, the bedroom didn’t have a light because it had been previously broken.
- Tiago (5/5): -
- Troy (1/5): Awful! Avoid - Nothing at all The host was very rude
- Pete (5/5): Had excellent night at o2 and got back easily - This is an air BnB it’s in an upmarket housing estate and it’s in one of the apartments. It was very difficult to find you get off at Canning Town and get a dlr train to India east. Then five minutes. To get to o2 arena you go back to Canning Town and it’s one stop away. The room was clean and aszmin was really nice. But what do you expect for a hundred a night in London??!! All the o2 hotels are three times more but this is air BnB you have to phone him and he gives you the key. Just really hard to find and not a hotel but never said it was but I thought everything on booking.com was a hotel?!

- Zilionis (1/5): - Nothing ⭐ My Experience — One of the Worst Bookings I’ve Ever Had
I booked this B&B through Booking.com for myself and my wife, trusting that a confirmed reservation meant we would actually have a place to sleep. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
When we arrived, we were simply told there was no room available for us, with no apology, no explanation and no attempt to help us. We were not offered an alternative, and we were not given any support or refund in the moment. My wife and I ended up having to spend the night outside, in the cold, with nowhere safe or warm to go — a situation I never expected to experience after paying and arriving with a confirmed booking.
I also contacted Booking.com about the situation, but did not receive the help, urgency or refund we hoped for after being left without accommodation. It was extremely disappointing and stressful.
This was our personal experience, and based on it, I would advise other travellers to be cautious when booking this property, and to be aware that a confirmed reservation does not always guarantee a room.
- Steff (1/5): - Nothing Stank of smoke and I have asthma, wasnt clean, communal bathroom, the pictures on here are false . It is an apartment with shared everything, a bit like a dirty university hall.
I walked in, didnt even put my bag down. Left and went to travelodge
- Saunders (1/5): AVOID THIS SCAM - This place is a scam. After you’re paid they send you somewhere completely different miles away! This place is a scam. After you’re paid they send you somewhere completely different miles away!
- Adrienne (1/5): Honestly don't book here, the listing is fake. - Absolutely nothing. The advert is a lie & VERY misleading. I booked a deluxe double room with a kitchen, a fully fitted out kitchen. Said it has a balcony.
We had a tiny double room with a small window. WITH NO SHARED KITCHEN.
Had to leave early as the room was freezing and I had nowhere to store my temperature controlled medication as it needs to be in a fridge.
It seems this listing is pulling this scam often.
The shared bathroom was filthy and the bedroom was dusty and needed a good clean.
- Saika (1/5): -
- katie (2/5): wasn’t what we expected - it was close to bus and train services it was dirty, and shabby
- Dom (1/5): - I stay for weekend it was not clean
When I speak with owner he was rude never again
- Clair (3/5): - It was close to the train station It wasn't the room we booked they squished me my 21 year old daughter and her boyfriend into a room with a double bed and a pull out sofa it was an extremely tight squeeze and had to pay an extra £50 for parking
- Princeonyx (1/5): -
- Fitzsimons (1/5): Extremely disappointed and ruined the experience of seeing Peter Kay at the O2. of going to the totally - There was nothing we liked about it. It was not as described on the booking as an apartment with kitchen bathroom and toliet, it was one room with a double bed broken chest of drawers makeshift wardrobe without doors. Window without a door to a balcony you could not get to. Shared toliet and bathroom girths. It was not clean smelly it was in bad condition the lift didn’t work and we were on the sixth floor. It was very difficult to find so after hours of trying to find it, exhausted and just needed to get to O2 for the show. Really disappointed won’t be visited any events at the 02 again.
- Paula (7/5): Nice area, comfy beds, just needed a bit of a clean and new paintwork doing - The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen and bathroom was dirty and could do with cleaning and painting and updating.
- Khela (5/5): Passable -
- Cox (7/5): Not an apartment. Shared accommodation. - It was clean and good travel links to the o2. With a local supermarket nearby. We arrived at the address only to be told we were at the wrong location. Host contacted us. And pinged his location, which was just down the road at other appointments.. The only thing was I thought i was renting an apartment. We did have our own kitchen but had to share a bathroom with other guests.
- Jay (1/5): HORRIBLE I WILL NEVER BOOK AGAIN IF YOU SEE THIS PLACE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM THIS PLACE IS A SCAM THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MO - NOTHINGTHIS PLACE IS A SCAM THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM THIS PLACE IS A SCAM THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM
- Andrew (1/5): Miserable - Very little. Shared bathroom. Cell like bedroom. Uncomfortable mattress. Creaking bed. Terrible location (despite saying it was about 0.5km from the O2, it was only that as the crow flies). Much much further by car or walking.
- Stpeter182 (6/5): Won't recommend - Nothing Not what was advertised turned up to find out I was sharing the apartment with other people, when it said I had the apartment to myself on the booking, kitchen had no frying pans, had to buy my own, bathroom had no towels for me to use, so didn't have a shower, bed was uncomfortable, window blinds was broken couldn't get them to do down, so people in the room next door could see in from the balcony
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (5/5): Passable -
- Charlotte (1/5): A cheap stay, but wouldn't stay again - - It was good for a relatively cheap nights sleep
- Our 'room' had a kitchen, but I do not think all rooms have this as it is a sub-let flat space.
- Not far from the O2, but you do need to get two separate tubes (but both are 1 stop each).
- Host seemed nice and was helpful in guiding us to the right tube stations, his 'colleague' was not so friendly unfortunately - Hosts 'colleague' who met us from the train station was quite short with me several times. When I tried to ask about how we check out (ie do we need to leave the key somewhere for them to collect, or do we meet someone), he abruptly said "I am a very busy man, I have multiple people to meet, I will answer your questions upstairs". To prove a point he started scrolling through his WhatsApp messages from other people he needed to meet. It was awkward and I felt uncomfortable.
- I didn't realise I had to meet anyone to get the keys as I didn't know this was a sub-let flat - there's no reception, so you have to meet the host(s).
- No towels in bathroom, and nothing to clean anything you use in the kitchen.
- Shared bathroom which we weren't aware of until arriving as it was advertised as the whole apartment.
- Room was part of a sub-let flat, which we didn't know when booking
- No affiliation with the O2 as you would expect when looking at the name of the 'hotel'.
- There was a balcony in my room which was a nice addition, but as it is a sub-let flat it is immediately overlooked another room which has other people staying in it. If you leave the curtain in front of the balcony open they can see you in your room and vice versa. If you sit out there you need to accept that people will be watching you straight from their window - we didn't use it for this reason.
- Bits of information seem carefully hidden on the advertisement, particularly relating to the shared bathrooms and sub-let flat situation. Our room wasn't any of the images shown, and definitely was not the 'whole apartment' as advertised.
- Saaven (1/5): terrible stay - nothing was not clear we would be staying with other people who live there. no balcony. the room looked nothing like the pictures. no kitchen. overall awful experience
- Sam (1/5): Non existent - Cancelling a booking less than 24 before check in is unacceptable. Be careful if you book this hotel as they will let your booking go for more money in my opinion. Ignoring all my requests for a refund. Avoid Nothing
- Muhammed (1/5): Rude and disrespectful host, Creepy pervert host, unhygienic overpriced, unexpected extra charges, - Nothing The property i have booked did not include balcony or x2 double beds as stated in the booking. I was made to pay unexpected extra £20 charge to my room as the property manager said that the room i booked was not available but he has another room with a ensuite bathroom but i had to pay extra otherwise there is nothing else available and i would have been left stranded without any refund, so i was forces to pay. When i checked in the property manager was extremely rude with me and told me if i damage anything i would have to pay a fine. He was extremely disrespectful from the get go and was not very accommodating. This has ruined my experience of using bookings.com. In the future i will not be using this site anymore. I have travelled 3 hours from my city to visit london and i was extremely tired. The treatment i received was not professional at all. The property manager tried to make me pay £50 for private parking and when i told him i do not need it he tried to hassle me and said i can pay £40 instead, on a special offer. When i continued to tell him i do not need it he wanted to keep selling the parking to me. When i refused he started to treat me unkindly and asked me “why are you in London if you don’t spend money”. The beds were dirty and old. No towels provided and when i asked for towels he said none are available at the moment. I then asked if i can fill up my water bottle in the kitchen and was told there is an extra charge to use other rooms in the apartment even though my booking states it is a shared accommodation and kitchen is apart of my booking. In the morning at 8:00am the property manager woke me up from my sleep banging on my door to remind me that the check in was at 10:00am. This has been the worst experience i have ever had with bookings.com and do not think i will continue to use this site due to what i went through.
- Fi (5/5): Passable - The bed was comfy and the room was warm. There was toothpaste in the bathroom which I appreciated. The manager got there as quickly as he could for me to check in. I was told when booking that I would have the property to myself however when I returned from work, there were others in the property and it smelt like weed. They were talking very loudly and I didn't much sleep due to the noise. There were no towels.
- Julie (8/5): Cheap and cheerful - It was quiet and the neighbours were lovely close to tube Sharing the toilet and shower room. No towels and it’s a £9 taxi ride to the arena 02
- Benjamin (3/5): Poor - Location was good for O2. Room to poor standard, shared facilities of poor standard, cleanliness not great.
For the price I wasn't expecting a great deal but facilities and room were akin to a hostel.
- Marius (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edward (4/5): Disappointing - Nothing, location was poor as it required a taxi back and forth to the venue Nothing...
- Roy (2/5): Very poor - Location for the 02. Didn't know we had to share a bathroom....bed really hard like concrete , tea and coffee...no spoons to stir.... wouldn't recommend.👎
- Aa (2/5): Very poor -
- Amy (3/5): Excellent location for o2 but, Overall very disapointed as problems with the rooms spoilt our stay. - Initial contact was good and friendly. Price was great for london. I arranged to meet at postcode provided but host wouldn't give the specific adress. Cab dropped us at specified postcode and we had to walk 5 minutes to appartments. One of our guests was disabled and struggled and he got irritated we had to walk slowly. I asked for the outer door code and was told we did not need one. The outer door fob did not work when we came back late at night and we only got in when a neighbour came by and let us in. I hired 2 whole 3 bedroomed appartment for 14 people. One was mainly clean and comfy but had no hot water. Host said he forgot to turn it on and I should have messaged him. We only found no hot water an hour before we had to leave to have showers.
The second appartment looked initially fine, but on closer inspection it was dirty. When the ladies went to go to bed returning late in the evening , one bed was completely broken underneath and couldn't be slept on, another when the duvet was pulled back, the sheets were very stained and un clean. That appartment also had no water at all for a shower, other than the bathroom tap which was cold. The appartment smelt strongly of weed and one of the party found an empty drugs bag under one of the beds. When the host was told these things on leaving his response was "It's ok" and was clear he was not bothered or willing to listen. Over half of our party were affected by the bed/ sheet situation and none were able to shower. Its a shame as set up was great.
- Carysj (7/5): Good - We arrived a few hours earlier than check-in time, but the host was willing for us to check in early for an additional fee.
- Rhian (9/5): Comfy, secure quiet stay - Comfy, quiet, secure and close to the DLR station. Nice to have a balcony as well. I had a nice stay thankyou
- Ryan (8/5): Very good - Came to train station to take me to my room, shown me everything in detail. Very friendly staff. Bed was comfortable too. Would highly recommend to stay
- Aldona (10/5): Exceptional - We like because it's good location clean 👌
It's have balcony nice kitchen it's good stay with family 😇
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wilkinson (10/5): Exceptional - The room was perfect for an overnight stay .
It had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable .
The host met us and walked us to the property , he was so friendly and very thorough with instructions.
- Charlotte (1/5): Disappointing - Room wasn’t even the same room as the picture, The carpet was dirty, the bedding had a hair on it under the duvet which made me think it might not have even been changed. was said to be 5 min walk from O2 arena and I just needed a place to stay after a concert but we had to get transport. Curtain rail broken, dirty pillow, freezing at night, there was no heating during the night.
- Charlie (7/5): Good -
- Troy (1/5): Bad - Absolutely nothing, it's not how it's described at all Everything, no parking, shared bathroom/ kitchen need transport to get to the O2 which is a nightmare, basically someone's house that sells rooms
- Michelle (9/5): I had a great stay. - Comfortable, clean room at a great price. I felt safe and it was a great location for the O2. No complaints.
- Rhian (8/5): Short notice stay - The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Had an extra blanket. The kitchen was clean and presentable. If we needed a freshen up there were was products available but no towels. As this was a spare of the moment stay it really was worth the money. Very close to the o2 arena. Our host explained to us clearly where we needed to meet and took us to the complex.
We were a bit skeptical with how we met the host and thought we might be getting scammed but once we got to our room we realised that the host may have had problems in the past with guests throwing parties as he asked me, is it only me and my friend staying. It made sense why he didn't show the location right away so he could be certain who was staying. Plus it was a very short notice stay as I booked about 8/9pm and arrived at around 10:30pm. Very much appreciated with it being a Sunday night so close to Xmas. I was not happy with there being no black out curtains. Only blinds up at the window. Non the less I still slept well. The tele didn't have any access but I don't know if that's because we arrived very late and it was a Sunday night. Other guests maybe had work etc. The host made it very clear we needed to be quiet. I could have put on my hotspot on my phone if I really wanted too. Apart from that an easy stay close to the arena and value for money!!
- Artur (10/5): Great place to book for any o2 venue - The property was clean and well equipped, can’t say anything bad. We stay overnight here for the gig in o2 it’s only 2 stops with tube so very close.
- Armstrong (6/5): Pleasant -
- Claire (4/5): Disappointing - Spacious clean High floor and we had 2 disabled people with us lots of stairs no lift. Couples had to share a bedroom when we asked for 3 doubles
- Karina (4/5): Poor advertised a triple deluxe room no on suite Small room share toilet and bathroom not clean -
- Simon (3/5): Possibly worst place I have stayed at since a student - Very near transport, owner allowed early bag drop It is a flat divided into 3 and the bathroom is shared, it is run down and dated bathroom and furniture, mixer tap shower with poor flush and loose door handle, curtains not cover windows, glazed patio door would not shut, generallly grubby
- Tina (3/5): Poor - disgusting smelt and felt dirty
- Jonathan (8/5): They could provide towels. - Emergency last minute stay. Comfy bed. Good sleep. Noise in the road or builders outside.
- Jonathan (5/5): Ok - Clean Booked two nights but ended up in different places. First room very nice. Second place appeared to have a children’s party going on in a small space.
- Elodie (4/5): It did the job but poor value for money. The amount charge doesn’t reflect the shared bathroom and lack of hot water. - The location was good. Unfortunately the main road to it was closed and as a result it took us ages to find how to get to it. The shared bathroom- it was unclear from the description details of the shared facility. We ended up having to share with 2 other parties. I think this is an important feature of the location and it’s hidden in the description. The description says that the kitchen is equipped - it didn’t have any cutlery, not even a spoon to stir coffee/tea.
We didn’t have hot water until I found out that it hadn’t been switched on at the boiler. This should have been done by the owner. Me and my husband ended up with cold showers, our children didn’t bothered as a result.
- Christopher (6/5): Convenient but bathroom nowhere near what’s needed. - Good Location. Quiet. Shared bathroom was awkward and the bathroom was quite poor and tired. Could not get shower to work. Don’t inserts s why the property is described as O2 Arena Excel because it’s just a private rented out apartment.
- Logan (7/5): Good -
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Leonora (6/5): Would stay here again for a night, it was basic but still alright. - Room was ok. Nice and clean. Really good area, close to DLR station and o2. Window didn’t close, bathroom wasn’t very clean, strange smell in the apartment.
- François (10/5): Exceptional - Top host !
Exceptionnal Muhammad
- Rebecca (1/5): Bad -
- Diana (10/5): AMAZING - Our coach was delayed getting from Liverpool to London, and despite check in ending at 12, the staff waited for us to arrive and were very accommodating. They also decorated the room with balloons and got my boyfriend a birthday cake, it was absolutely amazing!! The room was clean and cosy, and the bathroom had all the essentials. The communication with staff was fantastic. The view from our window was literally the O2 Arena, which is why we came to London. It was well worth the price, I highly recommend staying here.
- James (2/5): Very poor -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - The room was so nicely organised, the toilet facilities was good. The most important thing was their service - they provided what I wanted (including apartment service) in due time. Their behaviour was so polite and their communication skill was excellent . As such there was nothing.
- Inga (6/5): Pleasant - Nice neighbour, close to train. Unfortunately wasn't clean, particularly the bathroom and the kitchen. Stinky kettle and really dirty toilet.
- Olajumoke (4/5): Disappointing -
