• Michelle (9/5): Lovely comfortable stay - Good location, it was up on the hill but easy enough to walk. It was super cute retro style, beds were comfy and Em and Azzas communication was excellent. As it is an older style property there are some funny things like no electric sockets in the bathroom and the 2nd bathroom has a musty smell, same as the cupboards in the kitchen. These are tricky things to fix and it didn’t really affect our stay much but useful if this is something that bothers you.

• Jo-Anne (8/5): Retro Vibe weekend getaway - I liked that it was within walking distance to everything in Coolangatta. The unit was very retro very 70s vibe and still in good condition. I loved that we could bring and have our dog stay so that hands down was a winner for me. It said that we would get a bottle of wine in our package. We got in after 3 hours of travel on a Friday afternoon and I was looking forward to getting out of the car unpacking and having a glass of wine as a add on touch as advertised. There was no wine. I thought that it was a little expensive for the location but felt it was worth it to be able to have the dog. Would I stay here again in future - absolutely! Would I recommend 100% but if it says inclusions just maybe check before arrival next time.
• Drummond (8/5): - Very cute place, has everything you need. Amazing location. It has a very relaxed homely feel from the 80's. Host was very patient with one of our dogs who is still just a pup & after some major surgery has become super anxious (the very reason we opted for this place) and barks/cries a fair bit. We'd happily stay there again. This is still the hosts primary home, I didn't realise it was just a unit within, when I booked. You are concious of that. However they were never seen or bothered us. It wouldn't stop us staying there again.

• Andrea (8/5): - Quiet, spacious and comfortable beds. Dog friendly with fenced yard. 2nd bedroom was separated from main unit, bit hard to access toilet at night.

• Rob (9/5): - Homely ,quiet environment, great living,and enjoyable comfort. The owners did and provided all the add ons you would not normally get in hotel accommodation. If you think you forgot something, you would just happen to find it here. Yes, great communications on where things are and the please do 's . For Eg, if you finish a supplied condiment, would you kindly replace it for the next person. You would not deny that for the next guest, would you? Just a nice touch to make the time away more relaxing and guilt free for not doing so. The owners helped us out with best eateries and takeaways, which were great fully received. We would not have any hesitations to say there again. Nothing really.
• Carolyn (5/5): Has great potential - We supplied our own however other than milk there was no tea or sugar supplied, we don’t drink coffee. Bedroom curtains disgraceful, horrendous smell in the wardrobe and the kitchen cupboards and the jug was black inside. The fact it was retro not a problem BUT shouldn’t be grotty.

• Shabz (10/5): - This little retro pad in Cooly is an absolute gem! Not only did we fall in love with the retro vibes, but the location (5 min walk to the beach and all the restaurants and pubs, but also located on a quiet street), the cleanliness, the secure yard for our pooches as well as the comfy bed & couch all made our trip one to remember! We also had a brief chat with Azza on the phone who was so easy going and accommodating with every request and made us feel at home! Our only regret is not booking a longer stay. Cannot recommend this little gem enough to anyone considering spending some time in GC!
• Dean (10/5): Personality plus retro beach stay! - Location! So close to everything Coolangatta has to offer. We loved the little touch of the complimentary wine, pancake shake and dog biscuits with the welcome note when we arrived. Our daughter stayed with us and was delighted with her own spacious room separate to ours. There is so much to like about this accommodation… a real find! 😃😍 There is nothing to dislike… this little retro stay is fantastic!

• Harrison (10/5): Austin Powers would love it..Baby! - Proximity to all the action of the Gatta as well as the nostalgic feel of the retro accommodation. Could also hear the distant sound of the surf. Not much not to like.

• Cheryl (9/5): Homely and cosy - Good size rooms, wide variety of appliances in house. Good size fridge. Nice yard for dogs to have a little run around. Appreciated the little outdoor seating area. Not that we didn’t like - it’s not modern but still very clean and suited us perfectly

• Michael (7/5): Nice beds, Comfortable and functional. - On ground with back yard access for the dogs. We liked the retro style and it’s was functional and comfortable. Beds were great. Gate not secure and difficult to operate the sliding bolt. The bathroom basin drawers were very old and laminate peeling. We like retro but everything needs to be in reasonably good condition. The welcome email said there would be a bottle of wine. I may have misread it. The pancake mixture was supplied but nothing suitable to go on it. I would have preferred a breakfast hamper with some long life milk, cereals and maybe some bread. Overall it was good value for money but felt the follow through was lacking. No toilet paper which was rectified straight away.

• Greg (4/5): Needs significant improvement. - Property is in a fantastic location. And the host was very helpful after I left my dog’s sentimental biscuit container and food dish/water bowl at the property. They left it on the porch for me to collect the following day whilst I was in the area. The property overall was comfortable enough, although we did avoid spending time there as much as possible due to the fact that when we arrived there was reminiscence of the previous visitors pets leaving presents around the garden for me to deal with. So of course I had to pick up after some random who couldn’t be bothered to do it themselves because if I hadn’t my 7 year old son would’ve ended up treading in it, being a typical 7 year old with all he wanted to do is play in the garden with our beautiful golden retriever. The general waste bin stunk to high heaven, to the point where I gagged when opening it to discard of our refuse (plus part of the previous visitors). For the money I paid I would’ve expected a more hygienic environment especially with my 7 year old son and 11 year old daughter plus my 18 month old golden retriever. The amenities were poor at best. The toilet failed to flush to the point I had to act accordingly and unblock with a filthy old toilet brush. If I’m being honest, it really wasn’t a pleasant experience overall.

• Steve (9/5): Very much an above-average accomodation and better than average value for money - Location is fantastic. Really fantastic. And quiet. Interior decoration is fantastic. Bathroom is clean, functional and spacious. Kitchen is above average Nice little grassy area. I couldn’t get the TV in the bedroom to work on normal TV channels but that’s probably me being unfamiliar with recent model TVs that do Netflix etc

• Sasha (9/5): Excellent place to stay and we will be back again. So good my teeneager can’t wait to go back. - Great place to stay with my 2 kids and our little dog. It’s super convenient to the shops and beach. Plenty of room to hang out and relax and very tidy. The yard was more than big enough for the dogo to hang outside. Very quiet neighbourhood. The only thing I found was the washing machine needs a deep clean as mould is forming around the seals. Plus a good dusting and cleaning of the fake plants and under the tv. Nothing major it’s just that we have severe dust allergies.
