Guest Reviews
- Rohan (10/5): Very Clean & Amazing Location! Will RE-BOOK!! - The apartment was exceptional in every way – perfectly located near Sloane Square, Harrods, and Hyde Park, making it an ideal base to explore London. The flat itself was stylish, clean, and well-equipped, with plenty of space for a family stay. The 24-hour reception added great convenience and peace of mind throughout our visit. There was nothing to dislike – everything about the property exceeded expectations and made for a comfortable and memorable stay.
- Carl (4/5): Not really suitable for a family stay - Location There wasn’t a duvet/quilt for the sofabed which we had to go out and buy one as the children were sleeping on this, there was just a bed sheet provided which had some kind of stains on them, again as we wasn’t sure if it was clean or not, we just removed it completely as we had brought a duvet from a local shop with one not being provided.
The TV in also wouldn’t connect to the WiFi so we had no tv to watch which didn’t help with children not been entertained but again lucky they had there iPads with them and it was for one night.
- Daniel (1/5): - The apartment was not prepared as promised. It was also not cleaned. Personal correspondence was at shelf which it should not be as I supposed. Over all it was not pleasant stay. I have been in this building before and I have never had a slight problem. But this apartment was held by a privet landlord so. I’m really disappointed
- leighton (10/5): - The location was perfect, extremely nice area, plenty to do within walking distance. The apartment was perfect for a party of 4, absolutely spotless. Amazing price for that area of London. The hotel the apartment was located inside was also amazing. Customer service was also top notch considering it was the Christmas period. Nothing really, everything we wanted extra the landlord provided free of charge. Amazing stay
- Esra (9/5): - mesajıma hemen yanıt aldım banyoda makyaj için ışık yok
check out çok erken

- Politis (3/5): Very bad experience - Location only Very dirty and badly maintened. Very small bed. Dirty bathroom. Very untidy room.

- Jill (10/5): Excellent value for money in the heart of beautiful Chelsea. - Beautiful building in a superb location. Sainsbury’s 1 minute walk. Tube station about 7 minute walk. Close to so many fabulous shops, bars and restaurants.

- Khoghuelen (10/5): A Great Pick! Heart of London - I loved how the property was central in London, close to everything. Walking distance to Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Eye, and all other attractions. Had a full kitchen set, which was really helpful. The pull-out bed (sofa bed) was confortable, can manage 2 teenagers. There was no air-conditioning; it can get slightly hotter during the summer. Regardless, no complaints here.

- Grace (6/5): A great location and value for money! - Great location, the keys were easy to obtain and a link was sent on the morning. Double bed and sofa bed which fitted two small adults on. Great for a one night stay! The towels smelt a little damp and must.
- Joao (1/5): Horrible, unhygienic, lied to and dismissed (in this case by booking.com) - the apartment was in completely unacceptable condition — especially in terms of cleanliness and hygiene.
We arrived late at night and stayed only the first night out of necessity. It was only in the morning, with daylight and the opportunity to inspect more carefully, that the true state of the apartment became clear. As soon as I saw the full extent of the poor hygiene, I immediately packed up and left.
Specifically, I observed the following issues:
Shower drain with hair inside, even though no one had used it yet
Bathroom rugs clearly used and not replaced between guests
Inside of bathroom cabinets visibly dirty, likely never properly cleaned
Floor and skirting boards visibly dusty and dirty
Wall joints blackened with grime and neglect
Some walls without plaster, showing exposed surface and dirt
Bathroom walls stained
A toilet brush in an indescribably filthy condition
- Cecilia (5/5): Close to Chelsea Flower Show - Loved the decorated entré for Chelsea Flower Show.
Quick answers from host A bit worn and tarnished
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, Great apartment in a lovely block. Clean and comfortable. Great communication with host. Felt very safe. Quick to walk to tube and also to Kings Road. Woudl recommend and would definitely stay again. Only a couple of drinking glasses but had great communication with owner and they will rectify, Radiator rust covered with tape, would have expected that to be replaced given the price of the stay. But they are just niggles and didn't affect stay.
- Sally (9/5): Ladies 60th Birthday celebration in London - Location was lovely. It was quiet and felt safe. Space was well used. Sofa bed was comfortable. The shower was lovely. Grateful of the fan supplied. Great tea and coffee facilities. Best toaster ever!! Plenty of toilet rolls and shower products supplied. Would definitely recommend for an overnight stay. Towel rail/radiator needs replacing. Flashing light in the bathroom. Plinth lights need sorting. Under TV needs a little TLC.
- Queenie (7/5): Good - Good location. The staff are very responsive & helpful. No air conditioner although it was part of the description for the room.
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - The location was great for the price The beds were very uncomfortable and there was only a curtain between living space and bedroom, instead of a door and the TV didn't work
- Duncan (6/5): OK but small space and mattress needs attention but good location - Bed was rock hard and too small unless you were a hobbit. In reality it was small studio flat so if you had 4 people in it, it would be cramped and you would fall over each other getting to the bathroom. Needs work
- Lauren (4/5): OK but overall disappointing - The kitchen area was nice, with all the facilities you would need over a weekend, there was a tv that could stream Netflix but unable to watch normal channels, the hotel itself has a nice entrance way. The location was a short walk away from sloane station. The bathroom itself was nice and the shower had good power The room is a private flat not run by the actual hotel bit organised by a 3rd party. The room was very small not ideal for 4 people at all, if you are just going as a couple that would be OK but for for people it's too small especially when the sofa bed is out, the bedroom is only divided by a curtain and to use the bathroom you need to walk through the bedroom which again is not ideal when when sharing with another couple. The sofa bed looked very grubby although when ringing to ask if we could change our room I was told the sofabed was new.... it definitely didn't look new all the arms of the chair looked unclean. The sofa bed was also very small not ideal for 2 adults, this would have been better for 2 small children. The tv had been put up on the wall, and there were just holes in the wall for the wires to run through which wasn't very nice to look at. Paint was cracked on the walls and could do with a fresh lock of paint. I understand that it was an affluent area however I still thought the price was high for what you got and not suitable for 4 adults.
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Monique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shruti (9/5): Best apartment in London for the price by far - Very clean and tidy! Honestly one of the best stays I’ve had in London. The location is probably the best you can get, right in the middle of Sloane Square and South Kensington, kings Road and Harrods aren’t far at all!
The apartment is very well equipped, kitchen is loaded and bathroom is very nice! There’s both a double bed and sofa bed so perfect for a family of 4 and TV has Netflix which was perfect.
Hot water in bathroom was perfect and great pressure too! The building has lift and disabled access and the receptionists were very supportive!
We have booked again! Can’t wait to come back
- Xin (7/5): We recommend this apt only to 1-2 guests who need to be lean persons ; non big-size people or big luggages . Without set - The location is good and a grocery store is conveniently across the street. Check In and check out very easy and smooth.
Kitchen and bathroom look nice. Shower hot water was quick and good.
Communications were very efficient and good with the host. He tried his best helping us having some issues addressed. We are very thankful he helped to order what we needed to use during this stay. Thank you ! The apartment is very small with a few appliances malfunctioning.
-The size of this place is good for single or couple travelers, but too small for 3 persons. When the sofa bed being set up, it would straightly take up all the space of the living room, so it’s awkward to move around. Bedroom is also very tight. No space for us to open our 3 carry-on size luggages.
-The bathroom would get wet and very slippery after each shower time. Could be risky for senior people.
-The main bed is so small and only good for 2 very lean persons. Considering the tight space and the bathroom only having a slide door, at night whoever needs to go to bathroom would become disturbing to others.
-Unfortunately the dish washer not working since our arrival (notified by the host so we didn’t even try).
-The laundry washer working but the dryer not. It can’t dry clothes although with only small loads as being instructed. So we have to hang dry our cloths everywhere we could barely handle (on the table , on the chairs, on the bed, the kitchen cupboards, imagine in such a small place …)
-The washer/dryer was dirty and moldy when we arrived. We actually took some time to clean it. We also cleaned some dirty mugs, which apparently left by previous guests.
-the heating system didn’t work since we arrived. Good thing there’s a portable small heater in the room which was very efficient.
-Cables and wires exposed out of the wall. We didn’t try the TV so not sure if it’s good.
-With very honest reviews in details , hopefully we won’t get “ punished “ or “blocked “ for this.
- Alexander (6/5): Pleasant - Not stylish but cheap. Mattress needs replacing. Great location. Mattress. Markings on the walls. Stained bathroom
- Daniela (5/5): The apartment need an urgent maintenance. We did not have hot water for one day. - The location No hot water
There is no hairdryer as advertised
There is no Netflix as advertised
Every shower bath the bathroom become totally wet
The bath toals were very poor
The apartment need a urgent maintenance
I made a vídeo and sent to the owner.
- Fajr (10/5): A stylish and convenient stay in the heart of London—perfect for a short city break! -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Sharif (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place to stay at and relax as it’s in the heart of Sloane Square and 2 mins away from the main road do to your shopping
- Sarah-jayne (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, clean, easy access, perfect for what we wanted. Host very helpful and on hand of needed.
- Rian (8/5): Very good -
- Husbandandlifepodcast (10/5): Best Place To Stay in London - Everything!!!
Honestly loved the stay here in Sloane Avenue, it’s in the perfect location being right in the middle of South Kensington and Sloane Square.
The apartment itself is was very clean, sofa bed was immaculate and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is very modern and very clean too. The tv came with Netflix and YouTube which was perfect for kids too.
Lift access and 24 hours concierge was an added benefit. I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to stay very central and in luxury.
- Ali (7/5): Good -
- Asimah (8/5): Very good - Brilliant location close to amenities & the underground Bathroom door was a sliding door & seemed unsecure.
- Hau (10/5): BEST APARTMENT IN LONDON - Honestly the best place I have stayed in London, the location is perfect. I mean you can’t go wrong with Sloane Square. The apartment itself within Nell Gwynn House was amazing! Everything was at the highest standard, the clean was immaculate, there was no unpleasant smell, I genuinely can’t say any faults about this property.
The sofa bed was very clean and tidy which was also perfect as it was right infront of the tv! And the double bed was very comfortable!
The bathroom was lovely! It was clean, tidy and just everything you would want in a day out in London. The host was accommodating and answered any questions we had.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! ITS A MUST STAY!
- Juliana (10/5): wonderful stay - The kitchen had everything we needed, making it so easy to prepare meals. The bedroom was spacious, and the bed was super comfortable—I slept so well! The small living room had a sofa bed and a little table with chairs, which worked perfectly for relaxing. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was great. What really stood out, though, was how amazing the hosts were. Anytime we needed anything, they were just a message away and helped us within seconds. They were so kind and made us feel completely at home. Highly recommend staying here!
- Jamara (6/5): Regular - Regular Uncomfortable bed
Bath covered
- Abby (5/5): The property is nice! The unit needs attention. - Upon arrival, we were shocked at how beautiful and upscale the property appeared. Staff was friendly. Once inside the unit, we were highly let down. This unit needs a deep clean And upgrades. Stained sheets on bedding. Sofa bedding appeared to have not been cleaned at all. Mold in shower. Melted Clear packing tape all over heater. Holes in the wall around television with no way to watch/view tv. Cable boxes not connected, connecting cables missing. The kitchen was the nicest thing about the unit-kitchen was Clean and had all necessary appliances.
- Takuya (10/5): Best Value and Location - The area north of the Thames in London, within walking distance of South Kensington Station, is safe and secure. Its location is ideal for walking to the Natural History Museum and Harrods. The apartment is equipped with cups and plates, making it easy to cook your own meals-a great benefit during a stay in expensive London. Another highlight is that the owners are very friendly and welcoming. This might be common across accommodations in the UK, but the locks can be a bit tricky to open and close. The upper and lower locks turn in opposite directions, which may take some time to get used to.
- Melanie (3/5): Never to be repeated! - Other than the location there was very lottle to like about this place. The shower had good pressure but water didnt drain properly. Firstly this property is not part of NELL GWYNNE HOUSE. it may be in the building but is privately run and bears no resemblance to the Nell Gwynne apartments.
The person letting this apartment has used the Nell Gwynne photos to make you think that is what you are getting but this aprtment is nothing like theirs. Firstly we had to go and collect the keys in the pouring rain from an off licence about 500 mtrs away. RED FLAG. This was only mentioned to us in an email the day of our arrival! I cant even begin to list all the things wrong with this apartment, however I will say that the host did go out of his way to try and rectify some of the issues and was very helpful, however this was really bad value for the money we paid. The bed is so tiny and possibly the most uncomfortable bed Ive ever slept on. Room was so small you had to climb over the bed ir you wanted to get out at night, Washer/Drier didn't work, two tiny, thin miss matched towels provided, Ditto kitchen utensils, Only one key for 2 people, Sofa looked too dirty to even sit on, TV didn't work except on Netflix but sound was terrible. No normal channels for news etc. Cords all hanging out of the wall. Really an overall bad experience which we would not recommend any one do. Thought we were getting a lovely apartment in a nice area but we were totally duped. Booking.com - I am losing faith in your ability to monitor the type of accomodation that goes up on your site. And it came with a pretty hefty price tag!
- Ishita (10/5): An amazing and comfortable stay - Easily one of the best places to stay in London for the price! This apartment offers a perfect blend of luxury and convenience, it had a 24-hour reception that made receiving parcels a breeze. The bathroom was outstanding, with hot water and bathing facilities. The entire space was spotless—from the dishes to the shelves, and smelt great. It was genuinely an amazing stay
Traveling as a family of three adults and an eight-year-old, we needed a family-friendly environment, and this apartment exceeded our expectations. The TV, equipped with YouTube and Netflix, was a fantastic bonus for our downtime. The host was exceptional, providing clear instructions for key pickup and drop-off.
I can't wait to return and will wholeheartedly recommend this gem to others!
- Sherlin (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed here for 2 weeks, everything was perfect the owner helped us with everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again when I come. Thank you for everything.
- Jibran (10/5): Amazing location, nice apartment, great host! - I loved the location, it’s great for tourists especially those who want to travel through public transport or walk! Close to underground station and most museums 15min walk! Coffee shop and Sainsbury’s nearby which was a big plus! The building is nice, has lifts and the apartment is fairly modern. It was clean with no unpleasant smell or anything! Had good enough space for a family or group of 3/4 like us. The kitchen has all essential appliances, cutlery, dishes, etc which makes it very convenient for those who like to make their own breakfast like us. The apartment also has washing machine, iron, hair dryer etc which make us very convenient if you are on a longer stay, we were there for 6 nights. Also, the host is very responsive and reachable through chat or phone which helped us a lot! Nothing major to be very honest. We had a couple of small issues concerning the kitchen tap and the WiFi but helpfully the host was communicative and resolved them as soon as he could!
- Jānis (5/5): Passable - Location is perfect. The price does not match the quality. There was no hot water in the shower. The beds were very narrow. The dishwasher did not work and the dishes in the drawer were dirty. WC doesnt have a normal door.
- Sanjeda (10/5): Amazing Comfort, Location and Value - The apartment was very clean and tidy, with lift access (which helped me a lot) a perfect place in Sloane Avenue, it’s in a very central location close to South Kensington and Sloane Avenue tube stations, you can’t ask for more. The host was very responsive and kind, making us feel at home. I would definitely recommend this property to others from families, to couples to single guests, a very cozy apartment and would love to stay here again. Nothing, it was perfect.
