• Charlene (8/5): A home away from home - - bed is very comfy - sufficient heaters which make the whole apartment warm and comfortable - host paid attention to every single details to ensure that the house is very homey - lots of scents in the toilet - well equipped kitchen making it ideal for cooking - washing machine and dryer are in the basement for usage - smart TV which can play YouTube videos Overall a very cosy apartment which I do not mind chilling or just lazing in - stairs was a nightmare to climb with our heavy luggages - the power tripped quite a few times during our stay but easily resolved by unplugging some of the appliances

• Mary (8/5): Centrally located top-floor studio flat - Conveniently close to the station, nice (partial) view of lake from roof terrace, comfortable bed, well equipped. I think the information on booking.com is misleading. This isn't what would normally be described as a "loft", nor is it a one-bedroom apartment - it is a studio flat on the top floor. Everything is in one room, including the kitchen, and this not clear from the specs. And it isn't air-conditioned - there is a mobile air con unit in the cupboard, which is not the same. The flat is between a main road and the railway line, so pretty noisy. I could also smell cigarette smoke, which might have been from elsewhere in the building or the previous guests.
• Deb (10/5): Great location great roof top! - The Roof Top loft is a lovely space for two people with legs that can climb stairs. We knew about the stairs from some other reviews and we are so glad we were not deterred! The loft is clean, comfortable and well appointed. But the private roof top deck makes it special. Beautiful view and relaxing after a day of walking. It was a very short walk to the lake. Easy to walk to a grocery store. We would definitely book again if we are ever back in Montreux The bed is placed at an angle so the person sleeping on the left side has to climb on the bed to get in. Little strange but minor issue.

• Joan (10/5): So much better than a cramped hotel room. - Very cute, comfortable apartment in great location and the rooftop deck was a great way to wind down to watch the sunset. Lots of windows and the portable AC unit did a good job of making it cool for sleeping. Stairs to apartment are a schlep but unless you have mobility issues it really isn’t too bad.

• Tabea (8/5): Liebevoll eingetichtetes Loft mit super Dachterrasse; für eine Nacht gut, ein längerer Aufenthalt aufgrund des Bettes ni - Es ist ein super renoviertes Loft, gemütlich und sehr gut gelegen. Die Dachterrasse ist das Highlight dieser Unterkunft, auch wenn der Aufstieg etwas knifflig ist. Leider ist das Bett und die Kissen unbrauchbar. Die Kissen, pro Person zwei Stück, sind beide hart. Aber die Matratze ist unglaublich weich und hat einen Memoryschaumkern: Man sinkt min. 10 cm ein und dann wird es hart. Es ist ein beklemmendes Gefühl und am morgen hatten wir beide Rückenschmerzen. Da es heiss war, mussten wir eines der Fenster zum Schlafen offen lassen. Allerdings war es extrem laut; der Bahnhof ist in der Nähe und Güterzüge fuhren die ganze Nacht, die Gleise quietschen stark. Darüberhinaus waren die Passanten sehr laut und bis um 5 Uhr morgens aktiv (Montreux Jazz Festival) und haben lautstark gejohlt. Und als letztes würde ich empfehlen, Mückengitter in die Fenster einzusetzen, denn es kommen haufenweise kleine Tierchen rein. Und der Hundertfüssler war echt nicht lustig.
• Sam (9/5): Convenient loft flat with a nice rooftop view. - Great location, nice view from the roof, good appliances, useful recommendations and good communication from host. Easy and convenient. Thank you! Wish we had been told about that the tourist tax is to be paid in cash - 3 francs per night, per person. Worth it for the local Montreux card discounts though. (Also be aware there's a few flights of stairs up to the flat - to be expected though.)

• Diana (8/5): Very nice apartament, there was everything needed inside as well as the rooftop was the top - Centre of Montreux just 2 min walk from The lake. As the building is very old there was a strong smell of dampness in the apartment
• Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was gorgeous and in a fantastic location. The view from the rooftop deck was stunning. Bed was super comfortable and everything was well appointed and clean. Stephanie was a great host who answered all our questions and made sure we had a wonderful stay. Lots of stairs to get to the apartment and rooftop but well worth it for the view

• Guy (9/5): Fantastic rental near the centre of Montreux. - Location, views, nearby restaurants, easy access to the lake and markets. Be prepared for a long steep staircase, the kitchen could have been a bit better equipped (e.g. chopping boards, microwave, plates that fitted into the dishwasher). Bathroom spotless and all works well, but awkwardly laid out.

Check-in was very easy. The only issue was it was advertised as a one bedroom, but it really was a studio. Not a big deal for us, since there were only 2 of us, but I get up early, so would have preferred a separate room. Overall, though a very nice place

• Yauheni (9/5): Superb - One of the best apartments I've ever stayed at, with a fantastic view from the terrace. The location is pretty central, and there are supermarkets within a walking distance. The apartment is well-equipped, and there were even some complimentary coffee capsules for the machine (although there could have been more). Overall, there are no major minuses and this apartment is great for couples staying for up to a week. The radiators are a bit noisy at random times, with water splashing inside and occasionally waking you up at night. There's also little space to hang the clothes you might need to wash (but that's okay considering that the whole flat isn't very big). One last thing is the stairs that lead to the apartment - they might be a bit of a challenge for some.

• Kelly (10/5): Perfect location in Montreux and a lovely rooftop to unwind after a long day. The loft is everything you need. - Great location and beautiful rooftop. Very comfortable loft. Be aware there is a tight stairwell to the rooftop as well as many stairs to the loft. This didn’t impact my stay but it could others.
