Guest Reviews
- Bridget (2/5): Did not feel safe. Do not stay here. - The inside was nice The location was terrible, very sketchy surroundings, did not feel safe in the streets as there were lots of drugged up people, two doors down from a food bank so they were always around the door. We had to uber everywhere because we didn’t feel safe walking. The neighbouring light was on 24/7 and the blinds did not block it out so we did not sleep well. Could also hear homeless people screaming and shouting all night. There is an outdoor area right outside lounge room window which is shared so people could be sitting right outside our window smoking.
- Jennifer (8/5): Location, location, location. Kitchen is great with a fresh food market just doors away - Perfect location for my needs Clean. A little chaotic but I a a front line service worker. Safe and secure. All good
- Tiziana (10/5): -
- Jorge Alberto (8/5): -
- Suzanne (10/5): We new the location before we arrive my niece works nearby. It was convenient for us. - Convenient to my family and close to Gastown Nothing
- OLuwatobi (9/5): Awesome - No breakfast, Location is central The front, the back gate is better

- Jennifer (8/5): The unit was clean and quiet inside building. Was nice to have parking. The work desk was nice for the desk work. - Perfect location for our needs with work in the DTES. Close to everything we needed to do. The location is definitely got challenges but the unit is very secure and feels safe.
- Lea (7/5): -
- Julia (8/5): - Location was excellent, a short walk to Gastown. No "neighbourhood" issues, it was typical Vancouver. Secure building. Modern and minimalist interior. Great communication from the hosts.
- Kim (8/5): - Lots of linens and all amenities listed were available. Hosts were extremely accommodating. Lovely unit, can tell it was just newly renovated. Clean washroom. We couldn't get Google home to work, but it is available. It's just 2 beds, the sofa was nice but wasn't a sofa bed. Found linens to put on the sofa which helped but there weren't extra pillows and blankets. Could use more dishware and utensils, but it was just enough for us as we hand washed as we used.
- Bulmer (1/5): - Nothing i couldn't get in for the homeless sleeping in the doorway which we had no clue made the place sound so nice never stayed there and still havnt recived our money back Nothing
- Roland (8/5): - Beds were very nice The street is a bit dirty
- Lynn (8/5): Good location, close walk to Gastown and Rogers centre. Bright, spacious, clean unit. Easy check-in. - Good location, close walk to Rogers Centre and Gastown. Once we arrived at the apartment, we parked the car, we left it there for the entire stay as we were able to walk to the places we needed to go. There was one private, secure parking space accessed from the back alley with an automatic, thick gate that we had a fob to enter and felt very lucky that the hosts let us have that spot. I also contacted the hosts to ask if I would be able to bring my cat and they were accommodating to this request (I didn't bring the cat in the end but will consider this property for the future). I didn't like that we were responsible to take out the garbage and recycling. As well, there was a little floss pick left behind from the previous guests. Not a big deal but deducted a point on cleanliness for this reason. There was nice natural lighting coming through but didn't like that I was unable to open the blinds to have a view of outside.
- Bilyana (9/5): The apartment itself was great – clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. However, the location is in a very rough area -
- Anezka (8/5): Downtown, walkable everywhere. Also seeing the life on the streets - Good location
Clean
Quiet There was almost no cutlery (only 2 forks, 2 spoons and 1 butter knife), only two pieces of glassware as well. Could use more of those
- Niels (5/5): Mooi appartement maar een verschrikkelijke wijk. Maar wel een veilig en schoon verblijf. - Large appartment for a fair price De buurt was verschrikkelijk. Midden in een tentenkamp met letterlijk alleen maar drugsgebruikers en zwervers.
- Kimberly (6/5): It’s worth the money - The condo was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. This property does not have an elevator and it’s a 2 story walk up. Not for people with ADA restrictions. Needs a non slip floor mat or shower bar in the shower. Also there weren’t enough utensils or glasses for 2 people. It is disclosed that the area isnt the best and if you walk 3 blocks you are in an amazing part of Vancouver
- Weemama (6/5): Pleasant - the apartment was great, warm, and comfortable inside.. 3 flights of stairs with heavy luggage was very difficult for this 70+ female. The area was very seedy with heaps of homeless vagrants which made it very uncomfortable.. Should have paid extra for downtown.
- Mcleod (10/5): Two friends visiting Vancouver for some concerts. Really appreciated the secure parking and downtown location. - Convenient location and secure parking. Remodeled and clean.
- Murray (10/5): Very satisfying, I will definately use this company again. - The apartment was so glean and secure and comfortable. The host was so attentive and courteous to us. Very professional. I will look for this company on my next trip. It was a tough area of Vancouver but the apartment was safe, clean and very quiet.
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (6/5): Nice apartment, missing only a decent AC. - The apartment is nicely renovated and equipped with things like a new washing machine (including capsules for washing), new dryer, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bathroom with shower, all very nice and clean. Also, the apartment is more spacious than you would expect from the photo's. The only (big) thing missing is a full airco unit or perhaps multiple units. There was a mobile airco unit in the living room and a fan, but this was not sufficient, even for the living room it could not handle the heat, let alone in the bedrooms. Also 1 bedroom has a skylight without any form of curtain, so when the sun comes up you're wide awake. Same goes for the living room, which also has a sofabed: only a sunscreen, which doesn't keep the light out.
We were aware that the apartment is not located in the best neighbourhood, the host even pointed out the neighbourhood disclaimer before accepting the booking, which is thoughtfull. However we were under the impression that the apartment was located on the edge of a bad neighbourhood, in my opinion, we were actually in the middle of it. Quite bad. So we did get the warning, but still it was a little worse than I anticipated. A taxi driver mentioned that in the summer Vancouver attracts more drifters and junkies because of the nice climate which keeps them warm at night. So it might have been worse than average in the summer when we were there.
- Ritza (4/5): Risk for young kids and elderly. - Decoration. Location, non elevator.
- Carlos (6/5): Pleasant - Lack of Air conditioning and fans.
- Thet (10/5): Good - Closed to the city centre No lift
- Kuber (1/5): Bad - Nothing They didn’t open door
- Leisten (9/5): Comfortable, modern, secure accommodations conveniently located to the east of Railtown/Steamtown neighborhood. - Apartment interior and furnishings were like new. Beds were very comfortable. Property was Google equipped for lighting, thermostats, and flat screen. Washer/dryer worked well. Hallways and apartment door very secure/PIN code accessed which was important. Property manager was absolutely wonderful/extremely helpful and accommodating. Convenience store and Asian grocery just down the block. An easy walk to Railtown/Steamtown neighborhood. Exterior/front of the building was not inviting at all, but that may have been on purpose. A 3 or 4 block walk to the east of Railtown/Steamtown, the neighborhood was seedy with quite a few homeless present although they were not a problem at all (a bit scary on arrival … out cab driver referred to it as “skid row”). Hotel/public housing next door to the east seemed to have a large number of people conjugating almost 24 hours a day.
