- Elias (9/5): Good stay overall - Great for a large group Host is very responsive Smooth check in process long and steep flights of stairs to get to the apartment. Not every convenient if you're traveling with heavy luggage or elderly people.

The place had all the amenities that we wanted. Couldn't think of anything lacking. The host Jean-Charles was very helpful and very quick in responding back to queries. I was really grateful to him for allowing us to come early and drop off our luggage in the foyer before our actual check-in time. Since we were already in Quebec City two days prior to checking in at this location, we really didn't want to be traipsing around the beautiful city in 5F temperature with our luggage. He had even left us a note with a wine bottle welcoming us to the apartment. The only 2 things that we didn't love 1) the number of flights of stairs that we had to climb to get to our apartment. It was mentioned in the description that the apartment was on the third floor. But we weren't really prepared for the kind of high, uneven steps in an narrow stairwell. Made carrying our luggage hard. I understand that the old building construction is completely beyond the control of the owner / host and I am not going to hold it against them. It's just that with young kids under 3 and with one member of our group dealing with lung issues, this was kind of a little problematic. This is just to inform other renters that's all. If you don't have any lung issues and/or young kids, it's a good way of getting your blood going. :-) 2) there were no plastic bags for the trash/ waste baskets in the bathrooms. Even if there were small grocery bags that would have been very helpful - especially when dealing with the diapers of a toddler.
