Guest Reviews
- Kimberly (3/5): - Was very different to collect keys from a lock box a couple hundred meters away requiring us to drive round a few blocks to get to the accommodation after collecting the keys on a busy street
- Chloe (2/5): -
- Mark (10/5): -
- Shelly (3/5): The only reason we liked the place at all was it was near Southbank. We would not stay here again. - Location was close to where we wanted to be The beds were very uncomfortable, the bunk beds squeaked with every movement. It was very noisy you could hear everyone coming and going into other rooms. The apartment became unbearably hot as soon as the sun rose no matter what temperature the aircon was on. The location of the lockbox to get the key was ridiculous. When booking through Booking.com I didn’t realise I would have to go on a scavenger hunt for the key on one way busy streets. Plus having to do an additional $300 deposit, I’d rather use Airbnb. All the posters and reminders to clean up afterwards made you feel like you couldn’t relax. I want to enjoy myself on holiday and not stress if packing up kids toys or running the dishwasher was going to be the reason we didn’t get the deposit back.
- Nikki (1/5): Unenjoyable - It has the potential to be really nice if everything wasn’t so cheap After the unusual check in process of providing photo ID to specific phone numbers and then needing to transfer $300 to an account, then getting the key details which was a little inconvenient. I arrived …
The smell in the room - stale and strong. Smelt like the room hadn’t had fresh air in years and a drain needed cleaning.
The door lock felt quite unsafe no dead bolt. And it doesn’t auto lock as you enter.
The smell.. I even went and brought a can of air freshener … it still stinks.
It felt unclean probably due to the staleness and awful smell. I wanted to have breakfast within my room but it felt dirty and I couldn’t just hand wash a plate due to out having a tea towel.
The budget cheap body wash, towels and no tea towel at all in the kitchen.
No toilet roll holder
Clocks don’t work
Really unsatisfied with the accommodation god knows how it has high ratings
- Aleisha (7/5): - Nicely styled and easy walk to Southbank. Was a little disappointed with some of the things provided like cheap toiletries, no pool towels, face washes for hand towels, only one bedside table in master. Also it said fully equipped kitchen but very few pans, glasses, cutlery etc. Also no sound proofing so noisy hearing doors slam and people in the hallways. Also complicated key collection and drop off. For the price we paid, all of these little things added up left us feeling underwhelmed.
- Natalie (10/5): - How far away the lock box was to retrieve key.
- Clare (7/5): Great location, good for somewhere to lay your head. - Great location near to Southbank Park lands. Easy to walk to restaurants and bars. Good underground secure parking with designated space. Bunk beds in second bedroom very rickety. No proper insulation in patio door so apartment was very hot in the morning when the sun shone on it (and we were there in winter). Very slow lifts from car park, queues to use and often full. Not large enough pans to be able to cook a meal for 4 in the apartment, even though the kitchen area was an adequate size.
- ZHENXIANG (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): It was generally a very good stay. Lovely apartment and very helpful hosts. - Location is great. Beds are comfy though the bunks are really only suitable for kids under 10 years. Could do with an update. Clean, had everything you'd need for a short stay. Instructions for entering the car park would be better written as well as the supplied photos.
- 小蘋果33 (9/5): - Clean and beautiful view.
Equipments are very good.
24-hour store nearby.
Friendly kids' room for children.
- Laurie (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parrish (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing.
- Geraldine (6/5): Pleasant - The apartment was OK and the location and the coffee shop downstairs The location for finding the keys, trying to find the parking spot for the apartment
- Lisa (9/5): Recommend & would stay again - Good view of the city lights, tidy and comfortable.
- Wilmott (10/5): Exceptional - Was there with my sister for a concert on southbank, was close to where we needed to be, a little noisy at night when we returned at 11.00 amenities were all well thought out, bit frustrating on key pick up an return when there is no parking on the rd. Mostly likely stay there again Noisy people downstairs at night. Hard to use microwave. Key pick up an return all in different places an no ample parking to carry this out
- Rose (9/5): Superb -
- Cottle (7/5): Good -
- Kate (8/5): Modern apartment in a great location - This apartment was in such a good location and easy walking distance to the gallery, theatre, myseum, coffee shop, restaurants, Southbank and the city. We walked everywhere except for a couple of activities that were further away but it is also very close and easy easy access to the hwy and tollways that gets you quickly all over Brisbane. It was about 35 mins to Redcliffe in peak hour and 20 mins to the airport which made getting here and there so easy. The apartment was clean and modern but also relaxed and comfortable for a family of four. There was good heating and cooling, great kitchen to be able to eat in, comfortable beds and a good view of the city scape and the casino from the balcony. The pool was great for laps or for kids to have a splash and we enjoyed being able to sauna and spa as well. There was parking available with the apartment which was great as we had a hire car. Everything was easy to understand and use to check in and out and the communication with the management was excellent and friendly. We enjoyed Brisbane because staying here made it so easy. Thanks. There wasn't anything we could fault at this accommodation, the apartment was great as was the building. The lifts, foyer and pool/gym areas were so clean and well maintained, everywhere felt safe and easy to use. We could have benefitted from pool towels as a single bath towel each didn't manage to stay dry for showering after the pool. This wasn't a major issue for us as we made use of the washer and dryer in the apartment which was additionally handy when travelling with kids.
- Karmen (10/5): Fantastic stay for my family. Child-friendly. Clean, comfortable, great facilities. - Instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. The process was was easy
Great communication with the owners. They were quick to answer any of my enquiries
- Teresa (6/5): Pleasant - Convenient location
- Paige (9/5): Perfect family stay in a great location - Loved that the second bedroom was set up for kids. We travel up from Melbourne often and bring toys and books with us. The play kitchen, toys, book corner and bunk beds with kids sheets were a huge hit with our 3 year old and meant we could pack the slightest bit lighter for this stay. We also loved that there was block out curtains and blinds. So many apartments in Brisbane have light pouring into the gaps at sunrise but we all slept soundly until we were ready in this apartment. Our only complaint would be the lack of cooking items. There were a couple fry pans but only one tiny pot where for a family of 4 we could have used a large pot for making a bigger batch of meal. In saying that for this stay it wasn't a deal breaker.
- Chris (8/5): Comfortable and value for money. Free parking! - Modern apartment, great pool and spa. Couldn’t get the free to air channels working in the TV, was led to believe that NETFLIX was available but it wasn’t. Coffee stains on bed base.
- Miriam (3/5): Poor - Property was clean & conviently located however instructions to pick up keys from another location were very unclear and not easy to do. Then no information given about name of building so also accessing the car park and knowing where to park could only happen if you were able to park elsewhere up front and speak to someone at reception. You also could only communicate with the manager of this apartment via text would not pick up phone call.
- Janice (6/5): Good location for shows at QPac - Good location. The arrangement to pick up the keys is extremely inconvenient if you're driving. Also clearer instructions for where the carpark is at the unit would help.
There was no milk at all in the apartment for tea and coffee. The bunk beds were not suitable for a single adult.
I would not stay there again because of the key pick up arrangements.
- Katrina (8/5): Very good - Location to Southbank and Suncorp stadium was great Having to collect the key from another location without a car and with a lot of luggage. Would have been worse if it was raining
- Lisa (7/5): Good -
- Emma (8/5): Comfortable. Great location. - Comfy beds. Some toys and books for young kids were in the apartment. There was tea and coffee provided, which is a nice touch. Pool, spa and sauna were amazing!!!! Lock box situation was a bit tricky, but as long as you're paying attention and follow instructions it's fine. Allow extra time for key collection and on site parking if using.
- Abby (5/5): Perfect spot but lack of cleanliness - Location was great. The bones of the place were fine. Needs some fine tuning on cleanliness and maybe a tick sheet to remember what needs to be done before new guests arrived. Collecting the key from a lock box not on the premises. It wasn't the cleanest and there was pet hair on the lounge and cushions. Toilet still had the remains of someone else and there was a few homeless rowdy gentlemen out the front of the lobby that were intoxicated and had made an absolute mess.
- Kerin (5/5): Passable - Location was great. Parking spot provided underground. Spacious unit Wasn’t clean when checked in. Rubbish in bins, dirty bath linen.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ainsleigh (7/5): Good location to Southbank with parking. - Location, close to Southbank with parking. Good if you’re spending most of your time out and about. The particular area felt unsafe. Lots of homeless people loitering at the entrance and checking cars. The bunk bed was really squeaky and not suitable for adults, is suitable for children.
The property needs a good clean in the bathroom.
The carpet in the hallway to the lift really smelled, so did the carpark.
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (7/5): Comfortable and close to the city. The kids toys and books were an unexpected treat to find! - Owners send fantastic detailed instructions
- Jenny (9/5): Very comfortable & clean - Clean, good amenities, nice city view, I was able to use the washing machine & dryer as there was washing liquid available. Aircon in main area & main bedroom was nice & cool on very warm days & nights. Location was fairly good. Need good walking shoes.
Parking was available in underground basement.
Raised floor into the bathroom needs a small strip to prevent stubbing - there is no fan or aircon vent in 2nd small bedroom - which was a bit stuffy on warm Brisbane nights - no coffee or milk - but there were tea bags. Good Blinds & curtains for privacy.
- Jason (5/5): Short family visit to Brisbane! - Secure unit.
Clean space.
Location - close to museum and cultural centre.
Convenience shop outside apartment block. Communication with property organiser- hoping to get into space early after flight. But earlier messages and request not followed through.
Small step into the bathroom space- few bruised toes along the way. Possibly reflective or bright strip might help.
No hard copy information in the property about services around and the apartment facilities. May of helped orientating to city and place- especially as our mobile use was limited.
- Katrina (10/5): Excellent - Walking distance to everything we needed It was in a very good spot
- Michaela (4/5): Disappointing - It was the most confusing process to get the key which was a separate location to the unit. If we’d known it was an Air BNB setup we wouldn’t have booked in. It turned an exciting and fun trip into a couple of hours of confusion and frustration.
- Reissa (10/5): Exceptional - the curtains made it feel nice, there were equipment in the kitchen not enough chairs
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, access to pool and gym was great.
Having washer/dryer/dishwasher was great.
Swimming pool has a hot tub.
- Ben (1/5): Bad -
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (3/5): really not worth it - location 1. we had to walk to another building to get a key. then back to orginal building all while carrying luggage
2 we went to a show. when we returned our fob didn’t work. we called the number and they had no record of us being in the room. security did let us in in the end
3 we were too worried to leave room for breakfast as we were concerned we would get locked out again.
- Kirsty (5/5): It's ok - I liked the homey feel That the bunk bed ladder was broken and very unstable, there was no airflow in the kids room either. The fan in both main room and living were covered in dust and so was the air-conditioning vents, this caused my partner to have hayfever for the entire stay.
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (6/5): Location location - Excellent location for an event at Suncorp or South Brisbane Quite dirty. Squeaky bunks so put matresses on floor. Tea and coffee provided but had to get own milk.
- Sgc (9/5): would ask again for this flat - Self catering, convenient location, secure parking, quiet, good AC no real complaints , nery happy
- Megan (7/5): Overall it was a great apartment ,hosts were helpful and great location to Southbank. - Great location.Very clean and host were very helpful. There was a problem with the key but it did get sorted. The front desk staff were not at all helpful and quite rude as we were in a private apartment. No mainstream tv ,only Netflix YouTube available .
- Cindy (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (7/5): Nice Location, Needs a few Little Extras to Make it Great - The location was very central and close to the Southbank and Qpac where we were going and was clean and suitable for our one night visit. Unfortunately due to being close to a nearby drop in there were a few unsavory people, one even offering our teenager prohibited substances. It did have a kitchen but no tea towel or oven mitts should we choose to cook. It also lacked simple condiments which are available even at many AirBnB's.
- Anonymous (8/5): great, thank you - location bunks. only really suitable for children
- Louise (10/5): Great location, super clean, lovely apartment! - Fresh decor and extremely clean.
The books and toys in the children's room were a really nice touch.
- Alessandro (9/5): Great host always replies quickly your messages. Easy self check in. - Good location just a little walk to Southbank and Queen street mall. Good view of the city. Modern apartment with all you need for your stay. Apartment included the carpark space which is great considering there is not much street parking available in the area and/or is costly. The TV wasn’t connected to an Antenna, It only had Netflix (but you need to log in with your own account) and YouTube, no channels so not so great when you have kids that want to watch TV.
- Lesley (7/5): Lovely, and a winner with regard to location and the pool. - The location was ideal - able to walk everywhere.
The view, and the access to the lap pool and spa was great.
The property lovely.
The host quickly replied to queries we had. Need to be aware of the small step at the entrance into the bathroom
TV wasn't working for normal viewing.
2nd bedroom rather claustrophobic and no overhead fan to help
- Oliver (10/5): Excellent. Value for money. - Very helpful and was able to contact the owner if any confusion took place. Nothing
- Helen (7/5): Good - The apartment was lovely. The area did not feel safe to walk around especially after dark.
The pool was not exposed to the sun almost indoor.
