- Jamie (9/5): Superb - Perfect Ocean Hideaway lives up to its name! The location is at the end of a long beach road and we felt like we had a private beach behind the house. We spent an entire day enjoying the beach and the pool and barely saw any people during that time. The house has lovely views of the beach. The pool with the elevated waterfall feature was very unique and fun. The house is in three sections: You have to walk outside and upstairs to get to the 2 main bedrooms of the house, and the room with the bunk beds is also separate. The person who let us in left us with a whole ring of unlabeled keys for all these different doors. He was very kind and was able to buy a new remote and hook up the DVD player for us. He spoke a tiny bit of English, so between that and my tiny bit of Spanish, we were able to communicate. Be sure to stock up at the grocery store on your way to the beach house. There is a large grocery store in Quepos if you are coming from the south. We had the unfortunate luck of arriving after a storm had wiped out the internet and access to streaming on the TVs. The hosts did their best, but as it was the weekend, they were not able to have things repaired until after we had left. I had to walk out to the beach for my phone to be able to use my cellular data plan but communication with the hosts went smoothly.
