- Maria (9/5): Amaizing - The hotel it’s beautiful
I love that it has sauna, pool and cold plunge
Super modern
Amaizing
Great location
Relaxing and quiet I was expecting to have more vibe around the poll like more dj and more people, bar , party vibe
Seems like that one Ly happens on the weekends
The hotel was just maybe 5 people in total drying in March which I thought it would have more people more vibe

Beautifuly decorated! All was great

- Skye (9/5): Delicious Stay in the Middle of Byron Bay - Perfect location near the beach and Main Street. Gorgeous interiors, a really relaxed and beautiful vibe - and all the staff were so delightful. It's very central and near the Railway Hotel so there's a bit of noise late at night but also fine!
- Joel (10/5): Changed date as I couldn’t make it to original booking, Gave early check in, Friendly staff, excellent room. - Changed date as I couldn’t make it to original booking.
Gave early check in.
Friendly staff.
Excellent room.
Great location.

- nancy (7/5): Very cool esthetic, but need some practical upgrades (windows insulation) to make stay enjoyable! - Comfy pool chairs. Nice staff Very noisy at night! Bar w loud bands right nearby. Kept us up til 1030p. LOUD! They need to change Their windows to sound proof. We paid $500/night it’s way too much for non-insulated windows. It’s a quick cheap change for sleep! They also need more hooks in room for clothes. 5 hangers only is not enough (no closet). add some hooks.
- Len (9/5): Relaxed and peaceful. - Need to explain the door lock from the inside when you think it has not locked!!
Also the light switches, we were not used to using the dimmer to actually turn the lights off. We looked everywhere for the switches!!

- Jessica (10/5): A really nice stay in Byron bay - I really loved the newly designed gardens and bedrooms. I felt like every corner you turn there’s a wow factor.
The property itself was in a really good location too .
The staff are all really attentive and make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout the entire stay. I would have loved if there was more availability of the food menu but overall the shops are all really close so it didn’t matter a huge amount.
The shower head was a bit too big as well and would have loved a smaller detachable head.
- Jamie (10/5): - Excellent location, rooms were lovely & staff very accomodating, pool was great & got great sun. Overall fantastic hotel.

- lisa (8/5): Great position and a beautiful peaceful hotel . Staff are excellent and very helpful . - Great location . Very quiet and peaceful and beautiful gardens . Definitely need more storage and maybe better lighting in the bathroom at least .
There is a lovely garden outside our room but couldn’t get out of it unless we climbed through the window ( maybe there was a door ?)
- Megan (10/5): This quiet, luxurious oasis provided lovely retreat of vitality and wellness with a perfect location - The location couldn't have been better, just walking distance from the center of Byron town and a wide selection of bars and restaurants. Although central, it was also quiet, like a little oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. LOVED that it is adult only and the offering of a private sauna and cold plunge pool. I wish there had been eggs offered on the breakfast menu, but the options they did have were healthy and delicious. Lighting in the room was a bit dim, but that also made it stylish and moody.
- Bella (10/5): - Rooms, location, amenities
- Alysha (10/5): Will definitely be back - Size of rooms were, style and peace The only thing I could fault was the pool interior. It needs a proper reno to match the rest of the property. Like fully tiled, it’s sprayed concrete so feels like the old motel.
- Dion (9/5): - Poor lighting in rooms. Rooms quite small.
- Naomi (10/5): - 従業員の皆さんがとてもフレンドリーで、心地よく過ごせた。また、急な要望などにもすぐに対応してもらえて充実した滞在にできた。
- scarlett (9/5): Cosy, great spot - Stylish, great location and friendly staff The pool is very small and feels like part of guests rooms so didn’t feel that comfortable using it
- Glenn (10/5): -
- nathan (10/5): Perfect place , perfect stay 10/10 - Location was great

- Ebony (10/5): Relaxing - The staff were lovely upon arrival and the check-in process was so easy! The facilities were amazing the aesthetic rooms and pool area definitely were a stand out for me. The sauna and cold plunge were also a really cool experience, my partner loved them. The hotel is also in a really convenient spot and walked literally everywhere - it only took a few minutes to get to the shops and restaurants! We would definitely stay at The Swell if we were to visit Byron Bay again. It would be amazing if there was a larger room service menu but since all of the shops and restaurants were so close it never was a big problem for us. On our second night we were unfortunately in a room next to what sounded like a group of friends that were very loud, slamming doors and what sounded like going in and out of the room until the early morning which was annoying, but not any fault of the hotel staff.

- lesley (9/5): The Swell had amazing staff and was a wonderfully welcome place to stay in a perfect location. It served our needs perfe - The property was perfectly situated for what we wanted to do; surfing and diving all within walking distance as were the many restaurants. The room we had backed onto the communal pool. I thought we would have direct access to this but we did not and privacy was not that great. I would choose a garden room in future.
- Jill (10/5): Oasis in a perfect location - The location
The morning yoga
Friendly, attentive staff
Aesthetics of the property More storage in the room

- Ines (10/5): -
- Laura (9/5): - Friendly staff , beautiful interiors / 70s Vibe. Small boutique hotel / motel Bedding was not the comfiest
- Renae (9/5): A gorgeous sanctuary in the heart of bustling Byron. Boutique, detailed - We loved the location and the staff were super friendly.
A beautiful sanctuary in the heart of bustling Byron town. The pool was very shallow and needed more water to be filled up higher to enjoy the space better.
I would also like to see more additions and options to the menu for food!
The tv was also in an awkward spot in our room and weren’t able to watch tv from the bed!
- Nicola (9/5): Beautiful place with great staff - Room style, architecture, staff were fabulous Wider breakfast choices
- Merav (10/5): I wish we come back ASAP! - Everything!

- Natasha (10/5): Perfect for a relaxing getaway - Excellent location, very friendly staff very personable and liked the decor and style of the property. Beautiful gardens and nice area for a drink N/A
- Joanne (9/5): Fabulously designed, 70's inpired hotel/motel - very central. - Loved the design of this hotel/motel. Room was very spacious, comfy bed and compact bathroom. Staff were super friendly and had things like yoga on offer and a coffee/drinks bar. Nice touch of a aperol spritz welcome drink too. Location good as easy to walk to shops, bars, beach. Not the hotel's fault but it's near a very loud club/bar with a lot of people singing-along! it went on pretty late - 2am I think so it stopped me enjoying a good nights sleep. Tried to drown it out with the air-con - next time bring earplugs!

- Tracy (9/5): Excellent and highly recommended for both the hotel and the location - What a great hotel. Small. Perfectly appointed and furnished. And the staff was amazing. Accommodating and attentive. The construction on the drain lines behind the hotel was quite loud but that’s out of the control of the hotel.
- Jessica (5/5): - We liked the cocktails and the location Room was small and dark, no music or vibes around the pool.
- Ryan (10/5): Bliss - Everything Couldn’t stay longer
- Joanne (9/5): - The lighting was very dim in the bathrooms.
- Sophie (10/5): -
- Burke (10/5): -
- Caleb (10/5): -
- Sean (10/5): - Staff are very friendly, the place is spotless and very close main strip in Byron Bay All great
- Grace (8/5): Nice hotel but doesn’t match up to the price point - Lovely rooms, easy walking distance, nice helpful staff. Nice decor, confortable. Felt quite aesthetically led (style over function for things like taps and shower). Resembles an upmarket motel and whilst it was nice we didn’t think it resembled value for money as it was expensive. We had lots of flying insects in the bathroom we think were coming in from the vent. Shower is very small. Not much privacy - the rooms are quite dark as you can’t keep the curtains open if you want privacy. On main road and near loud bar, so pool area isn’t hugely relaxing.

- Neil (7/5): All style over substance. Disappointing. Not value for money. - The location was superb. Proximity to restaurants and the beach. Nicely stocked minibar. Good sized room. Free parking. Beach towels in the room was a nice touch. Keyless entry. Invite on arrival to have an arrival drink. Just wasn’t value for money at all and is basically all style over substance in a renovated motel. Most expensive night of our stay so far (and it didn’t even include breakfast) and was, unfortunately, our most disappointing. Room Eight - Met two ladies on arrival outside our room who said that the room was a favourite because it has a couch?! I found that a bit weird to mention. For this sort of money I would have expected one anyway. The lighting was really poor (subdued even when on full) with numerous individual switches everywhere. The TV could not be seen from the bed. The mattress was pretty soft and you could feel every movement from your partner. Thick duvet. Outlook outside room was right onto a wall. Cracked sink and dead flies and squished insects all over bathroom ceiling. Small shower with no separate hand held attachment. No sugar for tea/coffee. Only bin was in the bathroom. Located right next to ice machine room so a bit noisy. No soundproofing in bathroom especially due to single glazed vent window. Clear daylight around the main door so also affected soundproofing. Major drainage works going on directly behind the property which started on the dot at 7am. No wardrobe, just a few hangers on a hook. And the worst thing about this room…the smell. It has an overwhelming perfumed type smell that I personally found offensive and it affected sleep.

- Nicola (10/5): Amazing stay can’t wait to be back - The property was beautifully designed and so aesthetic. Loved the pink tiles and the lights were so cool.
- Sophie (7/5): - Looked nice and was close to the Main Street It was very noisy you could hear next doors conversations. We didn’t get a chance to use the facilities as they were all booked out
