• Mariana Marcondes (9/5): - Hotel no meio da mata. Selvagem! A noite é possivel ver animais na mata próxima se você os procurar. Cama muito confortável assim como lençóis também muito confortáveis. Ar condicionado funcionando. Quarto grande e muito espaçoso. Também tem água oferecida gratuitamente aos hóspedes assim como gelo. Não usei piscina, nem salão de jogos e demais instalações do hotel. Meu quarto era parede com parede com salão de jogos as vezes se os demais hóspedes se animavam eu ouvia algum barulho. Nada demais.
• Jacinda (10/5): Our favorite stay in Costa Rica, very polite receptionist! - We loved this hotel so much. It had a beautiful view of the volcano, and the room was huge with great air conditioning. The bathroom was really nice too, and we had plenty of space for all of our clothes and bags. We even got a tour of the property along with a huge mango, which we loved. The staff also let us leave our luggage behind the desk since we arrived a few hours before check in, and we really appreciated that. We were shown a blue jean frog and a few other animals I can’t remember the names of lol. Overall, this stay was amazing and we honestly wish we could’ve stayed longer. Nothing.

• harale (10/5): Great Place at a Good Value!!! - Located just at the end of highly active La Fortuna and was easy to find. Rooms were old style but neat, clean & spacious. I would have preferred room on upper floor but they were all booked. Jose was very helpful with checking-in and providing all necessary information. Restaurant on property provided delicious food at reasonable price so one did not have to go to town in searching for it. Upper deck had beautiful view of mountain and so-many different birds were there to see.

Food was good and stunning breakfast sitting watching the birds. The whole property is a little tired but having some refurbishment .. but that explains the very good value for money. Pool area very tired but beautiful area for animal watching with drinks in the evening

O café da manhã é excelente com vista para o vulcão Arenal e para a mata. Também tem cafeteira elétrica e café disponível no quarto. O hotel oferece vários passeios com preços mais baixos comparados a outras agências. O tour com o Amando é sensacional, com 100% de chances de ver o bicho-preguiça em seu habitat natural. Recomendo. A piscina poderia ser aquecida, pois estava frio por conta da época de chuvas.

Según abres la puerta de la habitación sales a un trozo de jardín, un pequeño trozo de selva, en el que Armando nos enseñó ranas, un basilisco, un armadillo... Todo fue perfecto

• Marta (10/5): Precioso alojamiento en medio de la naturaleza - La habitación era muy grande, disponía de una cocina con sartenes y utensilios donde poder hacer alguna comida, lo cual se agradece mucho. Las zonas comunes están muy cuidadas y el entorno es precioso, te permite disfrutar de la naturaleza que le rodea. La zona del desayuno tiene unas vistas preciosas y el desayuno era increíble, 100% recomendable.

• Léa (9/5): Bel Hôtel à La Fortuna - Hotel calme, pas très loin du centre ville et pourtant entouré de nature et d’oiseaux. Les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie confortable. On peut accéder à la chambre un peu avant l’heure du Check in si elle est prête. La piscine est très belle et rafraîchissante. La chambre n’est pas très belle, mais reste fonctionnelle.

• Nico (8/5): - Tolle Lage mit Ausblick von der Terrasse auf den Vulkan. Zudem direkt am Dschungel und mit vielen Parkplätzen auf dem Gelände. Die Hauptstraße von La Fortuna ist in fünf Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Es gibt einen Billardtisch im Lobby Bereich sowie einen kleinen Pool. Für den Preis auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist ziemlich alt. Außerdem ist die Wartezeit beim Frühstück ein wenig negativ aufgefallen, wobei betont werden muss, dass dieses individuell im Restaurant zubereitet wird und an sich gut geschmeckt hat

They’ve done a great job of creating a rustic, authentic Costa Rica vibe while still providing a clean, comfortable experience. We had five women sharing the apartment, and it was perfect, spacious, comfortable, and ideal for a girls trip. What really stood out was how immersed you feel in nature. We woke up to birds and had wildlife right outside during both mornings and evenings. It truly felt like being in the wild. The team was incredibly accommodating and gave us great recommendations that really made our stay. One of the highlights was a wildlife tour with Armando. It was absolutely incredible. Just down the road, we saw sloths, monkeys, toucans, and several other birds, all in their natural habitat, not a sanctuary. What made it even more special was how close we got. We weren’t looking through binoculars from a distance; we saw many of them up close, right in front of us. He was passionate, knowledgeable, and fun, which made the experience even better. An added bonus was that Armando also did a night hike right outside the hotel. That is how close you are to the natural wildlife setting. It was supposed to be about 20 minutes, but lasted well over an hour because there was so much to see: frogs, fireflies, lizards, and more. They also recommended great options for coffee and chocolate tours, plus a massage and facial, which was perfect for our girls' trip. The location is ideal, only about five minutes from downtown La Fortuna, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and wildlife. I would 100% stay here again. The second bedroom with three twin beds needed new pillows, likely set up more for kids, but once we asked, the staff quickly took care of it. They also fixed a creaky bed right away.

• Moniek (10/5): Excellent - I loved this place. The garden around the hotel was great, with lots of little creatures to find when it was dark. Armando and the sloth tour plus garden walks every evening was great. Spacious rooms and comfy beds. I am OK with this kind of accommodation but if people expect everything to be in perfect condition, this might not be their place. Old bathroom for example.
• Christian (10/5): Super wahl für Leite die Ruhe möchten - Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und hatte immer Zeit für einem. Wir bekamen ein sehr schönes Zimmer und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Wäscheservice war super, das Essen ebenfalls und der Pool war herrlich erfrischend kühl und gemütlich. Wir bekamen sehr viele gute Tips und sahen sehr viele Tiere während unserer Zeit im Hotel. Das Hotel ist sehr praktisch gelegen, etwas ausserhalb, dass man mehr ruhe hat und doch war man in zwei Minuten zu Fuss mitten in der Stadt In der Küche wäre noch praktisch ein Tuch zum abtrocknen und im Badezimmer eine Ablagefläche und eine Tuchstange.

Im Restaurant hat man einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den Vulkan. In der Unterkunft werden zahlreiche Ausflüge angeboten. Ein Highlight ist die Faultiertour mir Armando. Wir konnten viele Tiere und Vögel beobachten. Nachts wurden wir kostenfrei von Armando durch den Garten geführt und konnten u.a den Rotaugenfrosch sehen. Lokale sind innerhalb von 5 Gehminuten zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war sauber und mit einer Kaffeemaschine und kostenlosem Kaffee ausgestattet. Am Morgen konnte man sich kostenlos frische Bananen abholen.

La habitación tenia mucho olor a mentol, nos explicaron que es un olor que ponen para mitigar el olor a humedad por estar frente a la selva, pero se sentia demasiado fuerte.

You can watch all kinds of birds just in front of the area while having breakfast or dinner, and the view on Arenal is impressive. The pool is quite cold, but that's what you need when it's hot outside and we even were able to see Iguanas in the poolhouse. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was suprisingly good - give it a chance for dinner should you stay there. The family appartment had enough space and the location is great: if you want to stay in the city, everything is in walking distance. Although the appartments looked better on the photos, we had a great time at the place. The family appartment was not cozy and not well thought-through. The 2 sleeping rooms are between the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom. The bathroom was only separated by a wooden wall from the kitchen, which didn't reach the ceiling. There was no mentionable kitchen equipment (besides a rice cooker and coffee machine) - no way you'd be able to cook a meal (no knives, cutting boards, pots etc). The light in the living room was a fluorescent tube, way too bright. The patio is directed to the parking lot and served as the walkway to multiple appartments - we never sat there, really. I don't know about the rooms in the main house, but the appartments we saw were built quite cheap, then some wood was attached on top to make it shiny. We booked a tour with the hotel - we ended up with 3 buses full of tourists (the amount visibly surprised the guides as well, they had to pick up more guides to be able to cope with the masses - I guess we just had bad timing). Nevertheless, the guides did a great job and we enjoyed walking up Arenal and swim in the river.

The room was huge and very clean, with a seating area, fridge, microwave and coffee-maker. The best features of the hotel were its peaceful location, really close to but separate from the bustle of La Fortuna, and the amazing wildlife in the grounds. We saw agoutis, frogs, lizards, toucans and dozens of other gorgeous birds, all within a few feet of reception. There was also a pool and large restaurant with volcano views. The hotel is slightly run-down, but the cleanliness of the room, location, staff and wildlife more than make up for it.

Excellent value for money. The staff is so kind and friendly. We felt welcome. The room was clean and spacious. Delicious fresh breakfast. Amazing location.
