Guest Reviews
- Yolanda (8/5): Hotel sencillo pero agradable - Todo estaba correcto
- Magda (8/5): -
- Marion (2/5): - Only plus: The bed was comfortable So many minuses:
- No answer from the host before hand (I even wondered for a while if it was a scam and if the room actually existed)
- The place is very dirty: carpet not even vacuumed in the room, bathroom dirty, kitchen dirty (even the electric kettle was dusty)
- Very bad smell in the room and the window doesn't open
- Loud noise all night long with the water heater in the room
- Shared bathroom was not even mentioned on the listing
- No instructions about use of the kitchen
- Instructions before check in extremely basic (just 2 photos) to learn after we were already in the room about our room number (luckily we were in the correct one)
- And the price was not even a good one.
- Faith (2/5): Truly terrible! - Nothing, it was cheap and that's it. Mouldy, noisy, 7 people trying to use the one bathroom in the morning, dirty bathroom, dirty kitchen and cups and no one to check us in when we arrived.
- Ganbold (1/5): -
- Suraj (5/5): Good but avoid room number 2 - It’s quite ok! Location is great, clean and easily reachable by bus Room number 2 is a catastrophe! It has a boiler installed in it and whenever Someone uses the bathroom it makes very loud noises..,disturbing your sleep as it has a common bathroom & toilet the boiler is always running and makes unbearable noises..!
- Ayomide (8/5): -
- Angela (1/5): - They provide a number, but it’s not good and you can’t get a hold of anybody
- Marian (10/5): -
- Katrin (1/5): Schlecht !!!!
- Lachie (8/5): -
- Vanessa (4/5): Disappointing - It was a place to sleep. We did not know how to check in. We knocked on the door repeatedly and finally another guest opened it. Our key was left in the mail slot.
There appeared to be an air conditioner, but we could not get it to work.
- Francis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ayala (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chelsea (7/5): Comfortable for the price - Nice big bed comfortable for short time stay but the house as a whole was unclean specially the kitchen , I would not have liked to stay in this property for more than a night or 2 Unclean kitchen
- Emilia (9/5): Superb - It was clean, it was close to the Guinness Storehouse and St Patrick’s Cathedral which was great as those where the top of our to do list and the room was exactly as advertised. Not a dislike just a general note, I would recommend getting key safes for the room keys for people when they are checking in.
- Jules (5/5): Hard to find - Once I got to know, it's location it was only a 10 minute walk into town. The person staying upstairs (who came back late and was very noisy). The noisy appliance in my room. I hardly got any sleep.
- Eleni (6/5): Basic needs covered. - Bed was really confy. The place was bare but clean. It was hard to reach the owner, they would not get back to us to all our requests. In our room there was an instant boiler of hot water and each time somebody used the bathroom, there was a lot of noise. (The bathroom was shared for 4 rooms)
- Nadine (5/5): It was ok but would not recommend it as it was not comfortable and messy with stuff under the stairs - It was quiet and quite close to the centre We had a water heater in our room and it was very noisy keeping us up all night. The toilet seat and towel rack were broken plus the furniture was old. The pillows were a mess as they were flat and uncomfortable.
- Aine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denis (7/5): Good - Price, location
- Shoab (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leandro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (1/5): did not get in the door - i was not able to gain access to the property as the number provided would not answer and the property was in darkness on arrival. i will need a full refund
- Iryna (1/5): Bad - I want to inform you that we never got into this house and were unable to contact their owners. They did not answer our messages or phone calls. And we were forced to book another room to rest. They did not return our money either.
- Jainaga (6/5): Pleasant - Location, price, kitchen. Was not that clean. Noisy.
- Suzette (9/5): Superb - Amazing location in the narrow, maze of alleyways of Old Town Corfu. Just a 3min walk to the main tourist area of shops & restaurants but hidden in a genuine residential zone, so surprisingly quite & private but close to all main facilities.
It was very hot the 1 nite we stayed , no aircon and the 1 fan beside the bed was working hard to keep us cool!
Bathroom & kitchen facilities totally adequate for a short stay in a very typical authentic studio apartment.
For us, it was hard to find, but Magda very responsive, sending photos of landmarks along the way, which was appreciated. Finally we asked a local, cos we knew we were close and sure enough, it was just around a corner with a clear sign on the door!!
A nice way to experience Old Town Corfu.
- Brian (2/5): Very poor - There is very poor communication, they refused to pick our call only insisted on sending texts. Since we were new in Dublin it was very difficult to reach them. After they finally arrived to open the door nobody cared to appologise. It clearly says check in is from 1500 and we arrived there at 1700 there should be no excuse of keeping us waiting outside the door for more than 1 hour
The location is poorly marked and there was a very unpleasant smell in our room.
- Henry (1/5): Bad - Bad did like ir
- Ariel (10/5): Exceptional - Small but comfortable and pleasant, very good, bad thing about sharing the bathroom
- Eduard (7/5): Excelent value for money. Just don't expect 5 star hotel for a hostel price. - The owner is nice and very helpful. It is the cheapest room in Dublin city center, so you need to have your expectations set accordingly. Very close to lots of city attractions (we went by foot). I think that for a sleeping place is ok. On the same address are a few houses. I was just about to enter somebody's house. Some kind of markings would be nice. The room has a smell to it, but again, for this price, I can't complain too much.
