Guest Reviews
- jason (8/5): Would most definitely go again brilliant location excellent and friendly staff who catered for everyone of our needs wit - Nice and relaxed quiet and spacious The rooms needed some TLC especially in the bathroom
- Veronica (9/5): -
- Rashna (8/5): Beautiful location and relaxing stay - Beautiful location, facilities and helpful and friendly staff. Would come back! Towels should be replenished more frequently
- Patricia (6/5): Definitely worth the money. - I loved the location of the property in that the beach was spectacular. I felt the staff could be friendlier. Only a handful of the staff smiled and went out of their way for you. I also felt the rooms could have been cleaner as laying on bed and looking up at the ceiling fan I was quite surprised at the dirt. The floors could’ve been scrubbed better as well. I think the cleaning staff could’ve done a better job. Don’t get me wrong. The bathroom was clean and the bed was clean, which is very important.
- Tracy (8/5): Relaxing place with good food and lovely beach - Has a lovely beach the bedrooms face it. Food was really good. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Quite an intimate feel even though it was a good size hotel with tennis court paddle, gym and entertainment There were beach towel shortages so you had to prepare and be organised before they all go.
- Bruce (10/5): -
- Kornberger (10/5): -
- Glenda (10/5): Brilliant stay at Pineapple, can’t wait to go back. - Everything. Staff were great. Beach party was fun. Food was good and excellent cocktails.
Beds were comfy and great pillows. Spotlessly clean. We had a great holiday. Nothing
- GAYLE (9/5): - The staff

- Sharline (9/5): I strongly recommend pineapple beach club, as a solo traveler felt safe and folks working were great - The hotel was well kept , friendly and lively staff especially Ann-Marie.Food was great and I enjoyed the differing menu options. Would have loved to have more local foods from the island in the menu.
- Ward (9/5): Luxury, relaxed, super facilities and very friendly staff - Thank you. - Superb resort, great facilities and staff and the food was extremely good. Beer was not my favourite but all was excellent overall.
- Jörgen (9/5): -
- Maria (10/5): Wonderful holiday in a fab resort - Right on sea shore Not near any local
Shops or villages
- Philip (10/5): Fantastic resort, loved it, would definitely recommend. - Plenty of sun beds in various locations, beach and pool. Great service at the bars. Food was very good and we found it easy to book restaurants. Beach was superb. Staff were generally very friendly. The resort is very relaxed and friendly. Some of the staff were a little surly at times but we understand that they work very long hours.
- Mohamad (7/5): was an ok stay - beach area hygiene of rooms very bad, limited entertainment and food quality not the best.
- Alessandro (8/5): -
- Charles (10/5): Paradise in Antigua - Beautiful location, great food, adult only All good
- Michael (8/5): Christmas getaway. - Well spread out, so even though resort was fully booked, we never felt overcrowded, always sun loungers or seats. Several restaurants, so lots of food options. activities planned by team. Good staff, very friendly, over Christmas planned festive events and activities. Upkeep could have been slightly better, some steps and handrails broken and many items in gym out of order. Location is a bit away from anything, but in resort don’t need leave apart from trips.
- Paul (10/5): Fabulous stay - Fantastic stay, wonderful friendly staff throughout the hotel.
Fabulous Carnival night.
Beautiful beach
- Birgit (7/5): Friendliest staff, don’t go for the food - Nice property, always room at the beach or pool Food was really bad, buffet did not get replenished , going out for dinner gets expensive, as everything is further away and taxis are not cheap
- Mary (8/5): -
- Fiona (8/5): Charming hotel, laidback vibe and friendly staff - Lovely location. Rustic style and laid back vibe. Friendly staff and good food and service. It would be great to have some cold drinks like water in the room.
- Mary (7/5): Lovely place, badly let down by the food - Beautiful beachside hotel. Large comfortable beachfront room. The food!! Typical mass produced buffet which sat in the heaters too long drying out. Bread cut into doorsteps!
Why is there no decent freshly baked bread for breakfast in a hotel of this standing!
- Andrew (8/5): - Food good and snorkelling good Expensive security charges
Beach a little crowded and windy
Very humid atmosphere - everything damp
- Amy (5/5): Not worth the price. I expect beach towels and a chair if I’m paying over $400 a night! - Great staff, always friendly and daily activities were wonderful. Dated rooms—mine either had mold or chipped paint by the AC. No record of both my payments that delayed checkin and overall worrisome. Towels and beach chairs way too competitive to get and this wasn’t in main tourist season. Food was hit or miss.
- Andy from Anglesey (10/5): 'Liming' in the Caribbean - Great staff .. beautiful beach .. excellent food Nothing
- Chloe (9/5): -
- Charmaine (8/5): Great stay in the Caribbean at The Pineapple Beach Club Resort. - We loved the location, The staff were exceptional. Cocktails were mostly delicious and felt very welcome. There were a couple of issues in our room, the conservatory door didn't open. The hot water was too hot, no cold. Both issues were dealt with straight away which was great.. but maybe check these things before guests arrive.
Food was directed at Americans.. we felt there should be more local Carribbean food on offer at the buffet. Morning drinking water tasted awful.
Evening entertainment could be improved.
- james (10/5): - The food was amazing. Plenty of different choices. The staff was pleasant. Most of the resort was easily walkable. Nice beach. Lots of places to take beautiful pictures. Intimate and quiet. They have transportation around the resort for those that request it. Lovely place. The beds were slightly uncomfortable.
- Susan (4/5): Disappointed with seaweed on the beach. - Good customer service Food was poor. No lock on sliding door, not given a lock for safe.
- Janet (10/5): -
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Haylee (8/5): Very good - The food was fantastic and the beds were very comfy! Very quiet and relaxing vacation. The steakhouse was the best! Staff was friendly. I would recommend an ocean view over an oceanfront room. Our view in the ocean view was fantastic! Beach front rooms are also nice. My room's bathroom could have been cleaner / used some updating (we stayed in an ocean view room). Also, birds were flying around the buffet area at breakfast.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Kathy (8/5): Overall we had an amazing time, and would not hesitate to recommend Pineapple Beach Club. - First of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast and lunch buffets were good (and I don't generally eat at buffets, ever). We also had access to the "sister" resort, "The Veranda" and ate over there several times for dinner as well. The dinners were good at all of the menu dining.
I would recommend this time of year for those that enjoy fewer people around. It was very nice that we had no trouble finding good chairs at the pool and on the beach.
It was a similar vibe to a cruise ship, with events during the day aqua gym in the morning, bingo, crafts or trivia in the early afternoon, competitive horseshoes, ping pong or bocce ball mid-afternoon and a band or other musical entertainment in the evening. I also went to the spa and had a very relaxing body wrap, facial and massage. It was excellent.
The room was well air-conditioned, and we had abundant hot water. Beach towels were in our room when we got there, so we had no trouble with finding towels.
We enjoyed seeing a number of birds, including hummingbirds and "sugar birds." We spotted lizards and a mongoose as well. I picked an ocean view room, which meant a lot of stairs. Luckily my knee did not act up at all. And we arrived during an unusual bloom of seaweed, so did not go ocean swimming at all. They said it does not happen often on this side of the island, so do not let that scare you away.
- Alena (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (9/5): Fabulous stay at Pineapple Beach. Can’t wait to come back - Visited 12 years ago, had massive refreshments and add on bits since then. Liked it 12 years ago loved it now. So much better. Topaz restaurant fabulous. Pineapple Grill plus Italian restaurant would say work in progress. Food nothing special, some staff body language and attitude slightly off point. Needs improvement.
- Neil (9/5): Relaxing - Food was excellent It was very windy every day
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frida (9/5): Awesome 4-day Vacay - Very friendly personnel. Clean and nice property. Breakfast was excellent; fresh omelets, waffles, smoothies. Buffet style food was good; cocktails were excellent; snacks in the afternoon were nice; Outhouse BBQ restaurant; good food and beautiful view. Directly located on beach. Plenty of sun beds. Great for relaxation! Not close to anything, but we knew this and didn't care, because we had a rental car. Would definitely go back! Had a waterfront room, located on the first floor. Room was nice and clean, but mattress was a bit worn-out. Would have been nice to maybe have a small cabinet in bathroom for toiletries.
- Joanne (9/5): We had a great time! Definitely a beautiful island and culture - We loved the beaches and the cleanliness of the property! Staff was amazing! More options for food at Topaz
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (10/5): Overall a fantastic resort with an amazing beach. - Amazing beach, ocean view from room 835 was spectacular. Staff was fantastic. Food at all the restaurants was very good, best was lunch at the Outhouse. Size of the resort was smaller but we never felt crowded. Overall a fantastic resort.
- Rhem (8/5): Overall stay was great and I would come back. - Nice staff, great location and good food .. beach and pools are also great I felt the rooms had a lot of water damage and could use an upgrade with remodeling and paint job. Also better lighting as the rooms are kinda of dark.
- Sally (9/5): We enjoyed all the activities on offer but would have loved some yoga/pilates classes - The beach The bar area. Very clinical and bright lights
- Garibay (9/5): Beautiful place to visit. - Everything was wonderful. Beds were not comfortable.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were amazing. The food was amazing. The entertainment was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Highly recommend.
- Colin (8/5): Our stay was memorable - Location & Beach access was perfect!
Commute was easy & staff was always very pleasant. Wifi was inconsistent in some areas of resort esp in main dining area.
Too many flies.
- Chanel (10/5): An unforgettable and memorable experience, complimented by superb staff and bottomless mimosas! - Spacious and well manicured The seaside restaurant had a lot of birds
- Jean (10/5): very relaxing place for vocation - pineapple restaurant, very good that where we mostly ate
- Tommaso (10/5): Incredible tropical getaway - amazing food, amazing staff, amazing beach and pools. Such an amazing vibe. Long walk from our room to the beach
- Lorenda (10/5): We loved this place. We came home very relaxed and positive we picked the best location for us. - The staff were all friendly, the room and our view was beautiful. The food buffets were varied and very good, especially for the amount of food they produced every day. All-inclusive is definitely the way to go in Antigua. The pools and beach were lovely. This place is a bit isolated, so we didn't do a lot of excursions. If you want to hang out at the beach and pool and just relax, this is the place. If you want to explore the island, a place near English Harbour might be better, as it's more centrally located.
- Joseph (9/5): A slice of paradise! - Enough choices for everyone. Smoked salmon almost every day.
Excellent omelet station. Should have at least two bartenders at the main bar during prime times.
- John (10/5): Very relaxing stay, really friendly staff - Very friendly , great location, great service The outhouse restaurant
- Kemila (3/5): Poor - Checking out So our room was cleaned every other day, food was always finished by the time we get to the cafeteria. The restaurants you make reservations with the food was very little and wasn’t much options to choose from. The room was old and outdated, bathroom was dirty and barely any hot water.
- Paul (9/5): My stay was wonderful. - The reception agents and the dining room staff were awesome! They made me feel like I was home. I did not care for the location. The resort is far away from other attractions in Antigua. If you rent a vehicle, it would be a great place.
- Sofia (8/5): Great place to relax in the Caribbean - All in all it is a great resort and we had a lovely holiday. Staff was friendly and they looked after us very well. The rum cocktails were absolute belters! Good location to explore the island and go on day trips. Particularly enjoyed the trip to Shirley Heights on Sunday evening. The evening entertainment was not good, there were only two nights with good quality entertainment. The food at the buffet was mediocre. It was difficult to get dinner reservations to the specialist restaurants. Would have given a higher score if the entertainment or food had been better.
- Ashley (9/5): It was a dream overall and I would highly recommend this all inclusive resort - The resort was tranquil, peaceful and romantic. The food was great- all the restaurants had high quality food. My favorite was the coffee shop. The snorkeling on property was excellent. There was so many activities on the resort that you can participate in or just relax. There is something for everyone! Rooms were a little outdated but it didn’t bother me all too much since we didn’t spend much time in the room besides sleeping. I didn’t like that once we arrived the receptionist told us we had to wait in order to make our dinner reservations till the next morning and recommended getting there at 8:00am- of course there was a huge line which was a bummer. I recommend making all reservations the second you arrive.
- Jim (9/5): Overall great time and value. - Staff were amazing and very friendly. Excursions were well priced and safe. Food at buffet was just as good as the restaurants. Ala carte restaurants were great. Ran out of Vodka every day and occasionally had no beer at several of the bars
- Karel (6/5): Pleasant - Beach was lovely and quite with no jetski’s. Good for snorkelling. Compact resort. It would be nice to have more variety at breakfast and evening meal eg pastries, fresh bread. Food was not always appetising.Beach was lovely sometimes hard to find a sun bed with umbrella. Slow bar service. No ginger beer for dark and stormy cocktails.
Tourist taxes are too costly.
- Andrew (5/5): It could be so much better quite easily, we stayed last year and it’s gone down hill significantly. - Good location, easy atmosphere, generous drinks, the coffee shop is the best food / drink facility and is run by the best member of staff in the place. The water sports are good. The food is terrible, the Italian restaurant is a joke, I couldn’t manage a slice of the pizza. The diners have no logical combinations and are repetitive. There are limited options for vegetarians, vegetable pasta most nights. Even on a 3 night stay we had to eat in the restaurant down the beach off resort. The BBQ shack is in an amazing location but the food is very limited and nearly inedible. The staff seem demoralised and can be surly.
- Antoine (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Enjoyed our stay. great weather. Very relaxing. - Good breakfasts. Great bars. Average lunch and dinner meals. Lunch and dinner meals were average.
- Sarah (4/5): Rude staff ruined our start trip - The location is stunning. It's situated on a truly beautiful beach. Nothing else nearby though, so if you want to venture out of hotel make sure you have a car The majority of the staff seemed unhappy and disengaged. Many of the serving staff were rude and left you feeling like you were putting them out. The attitude and manner in which they were speaking to guests was appalling for a four star hotel.
The hotel policy is to only service your room every other day... Which is fair and sustainable, but on the days that housekeeping came to our room they still did not clean! They simply made the bed and folded the towels - there was still sand on services and stains on the bed covers that were not sorted.
The room we booked was not the room we ended up with, it was different from the photos and not as nice. When we raised it with reception staff we were treated rudely, shut down and no assistance was offered. We tried a second time a few days later when it was less busy and again we were fobbed off and ignored - no apology or attempt to move us.
It's really difficult to get served at the bars, they make it slow and difficult on purpose. There were times when the only open bar was 3 people deep and you'd have one person serving slowly and other bartenders just standing around looking miserable.
And avoid the "cocktails" they're adding literally no alcohol to them.
I raised my complaints with Mack, the manager, at the end of our stay and he simply grunted at me and said not a word. He just looked at me and said OK when I raised it.
This is a hotel that doesn't care about it's guests and there is no way this is a 4 star experience.
- Mark (7/5): It was ok, the staff was good. We won’t come back! - The beach and area Resort tax and that made no sense. The rooms need to be updated
- John (8/5): Great staff - Location and staff Buffet food average or worse
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stuart (9/5): Effortlessly easy. Unreal location. - The latest cation and closeness of everything at the resort made it effortless to reach and use any amenity. Leave your room and you were on the beech. Our room was rather dated. Was very clean but thinks such as stains on the curtains and bathroom being rather tired. Worth noting not all rooms are like this as they perhaps are updating them one block at a time.
- Jaime (9/5): Great stay for our short time - Great staff. From Bobby to some really lovely bar tenders servers and house keeping. All friendly and pleasant. Food staff really great. Coffee shop team really good Needs some paint to refresh rooms
- Ricardo (9/5): Lovely Antigua - Great atmosphere, well located, great staff, facilities, food and activities Just one of the restaurants of the resort was not really up to the standards of all the others. But overall great week!!!!
- Shauna (8/5): Very good - Staff was very friendly, food was delicious. I appreciated the nightly entertainment, it was entertaining. The rooms are beautiful and kept clean, but too many stairs to climb, needs elevators
- Keith (7/5): Great location. Low occupancy meant little choice of restaurants so disappointed at lack of choices - Everything within Close Proximity Good not great
- Irina (10/5): Amazing 4 days stay - Beautiful laid back resort on an amazing beach with turquoise water and powdery sand. The personnel was very friendly. We had waterfront 2nd floor room and could see the sea from the bed. Magical! There are a lot of activities during the day. The food and drinks were wonderful and so was service. Certainly will be back.
- Lance (6/5): Pleasant -
- Olga (7/5): It was ok. I’ve been to Antigua before but wouldn’t stay there again mainly because of the food. The staff was very nice - The staff was very nice. Our room was close to everything. The pools were nice and the beach was too. Our bed was so uncomfortable. The buffet was only
good at breakfast. The lunch and dinners weren’t.
- Christine (6/5): Not worth the money - The coffee shop was great. The entertainment director was good when you saw her. The wait staff was nice and the outside barbecue was nice but only had chicken.. The beach chairs were mostly broken. The sand on the beach is dirty full of cigarette butts.. the rooms are very dark. 2 small lamps do not work. The sheets were not that clean. Stains on them. The food at night seemed the same over and over. Carved meats should be there each night. If you go to dinner later you should not get scraps. Like I did when they had ham. And the ham was cold. The place is not worth the money at all
- Douglas (8/5): Very good - Mainly the staff. Everyone was great Beach chairs were in very bad shape
- Emma (10/5): Can't wait to come back! - The resort is located on a beautiful beach, the property is so well maintained, and the staff are super friendly. The food was also great, and there were plenty of activities and excursions to sign up for if you're up for something different. No complaints!
- Lynn (7/5): Good -
- Tamsin (8/5): Miss it already - On the beach, great rooms, bars in all areas of the resort, lovely staff, lovely island. The pineapple grill wasn’t good. There are other options on every night though so you can always just avoid this one.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Cody (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (3/5): Poor - Location and friendly staff. Our so called upgraded room
Outdated and old stained toilet and shower. Broken sliding door with no screen .
Mattress on bed was sprung and old!
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (6/5): Pleasant - The staff The food
- Nina (7/5): Beautiful hotel and staff. Overall, a good vacation. - The hotel itself is very pretty, there are paths meandering through tropical greenery and chairs and hammocks tucked under lush trees welcoming us to sit and relax. We had a second floor beachfront room which gave us a beautiful view, the balcony was shared by everyone so there was a regular flow of people past our room. if I went again, I would choose a first floor where each balcony is private.
We enjoyed the food each day and were very happy with the quality and variety. I love the morning omelettes and lots of fresh fruits. For the early risers, there is an adorable coffee shop that opens early and carries some delicious pastries.
While it was necessary to put towels out on our chairs to reserve our spot each morning, there were ample chairs.
Staff was amazing and attentive. There are four bars located at various spots on the property. The Pelican Grill serves up burgers, wraps and fries if we wanted an afternoon snack. The Outhouse restaurant at the highest point of the property is worth the hike- the view unique decor makes for a perfect spot to grab a beer or bbq. The seaweed! By the time we left, the grounds crew, who work tirelessly to try manage the constant inundation, some piles were ten feet high and about 10 feet wide. Getting in the water required trudging through the mess. Again, the staff did what they could to help the issue but the heavy machinery traveling the beach all day took away from the idyllic location. We have always stayed on the west coast which doesn’t experience this problem but no pictures or comments on the hotel website mentioned the seaweed, so we gave it a shot. Lesson learned.
- Frederique (7/5): Great stay at Pinnapple Beach Clin - The Grounds were well taken care off . Barbecue Lunch up top overlook . Friendly staff . Manager Vincent was very accommodating and Entertainment was great .Very nice group of people . They could do better on the Buffet no fault of the staff . There not given quality meats to many sauces that are to strong . The Restaurants are good and Breakfast was good . They should tone down there spices for guests that have heartburn issues .So they should offer mild seasoned foods . The restaurant you can ask and they did give me a steak without any sauces .
- William (9/5): suggest you need a few more staff- they were great but clearly over worked. - lots very little
- Sylvia (5/5): garden rooms need updating still very tired and decor shabby. No sun beds as all guests. get up at 6am to reserve with t - the position insufficient staff to cover amount of guests. long queues for restaurants
- Fitzgerald (8/5): Very good -
- Sebastian (9/5): excellent location - very comfortable and staff were friendly and polite
- Lee (7/5): The adults only was wonderful. It was a good value. I didn’t see any insects in my room. - Lovely grounds, well maintained. Nice beach. Very hilly property. Steep walk to get to the Outhouse restaurant.
The food was marginal.
- Jonathan (1/5): Unless they paid for half the trip to make up for my last stay I would not return - The view if they had given me the room I paid for Everything, they lost power for hours they didn’t clean our room didn’t bring us fresh towels after we called and asked 12 times. And to top it off our door stopped working and for 2 days we had to be asked to be let in and were promised it be fixed everytime we went in. And to top it off they questioned us why we need to go to our room now when we asked.
- Quintin (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was friendly and quite helpful
- Alex (4/5): Disappointing -
- Alex (9/5): Superb -
- Claudia (7/5): Friendly staff, lots of activities, good food, nice beach - We arrived, jet lagged, and wanted to rest for a bit but the maids in the outdoor hallway were shouting at each other so we couldn’t rest.
It would be useful to have a mat at the door to remove sand from footwear/feet especially since housekeeping is now only every other day
- Edward (7/5): Good hotel with lovely staff, but felt a little overpriced for what you get. - Lovely beach area and the staff were friendly. Good location, 30 mins from the airport and 30 mins to Shirley Heights. The property was tired in places, our hotel room was dark and had some squashed mosquitoes on the walls. Some of the communal facilities also needed updating.
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional -
