- Domenico (9/5): Superb -
- Dániel (10/5): Exceptional - Large balcony, very clean place, well equipped kitchen.
- Zarko (10/5): Perfettamente picevole / Perfectly pleasant - We truly felt at home. It was a lovely and strange experience to have a “home” in Rome.
The ladies from the agency managing the apartment rental are very pleasant and professional. The terrace is perfect. The apartment is very nice, tidy, well-organized, and equipped. All household appliances are functional. The coffee machine is excellent, and there are also moka pots in the drawer below. The stairwell is very quiet and peaceful, as is the neighborhood. The whole area is pleasant and well-connected by buses. During our stay, unfortunately, trams were not operating in most parts of Rome due to reconstruction, but taking an itTaxi never cost us more than around 20 EUR from any part of the city. Walking might be a bit much to Trastevere, Testaccio, the Vatican, Stadio Olimpico, or the historic center, but there were plenty of buses, and they worked well.
We had a wonderful dining experience in the immediate neighborhood at Signora Carla’s Hosteria Da Settimio (bruschetta with marinated eggplant and beans with sage and carrots!) or at La Taverna Pizzeria Bistaccheria, which has excellent daily menus, pasta and saltimbocca.
Recycling bins are located right in front of the building entrance.
Coffee and cornetti for breakfast are just 5 meters to the right of the entrance, the pharmacy—which we unfortunately needed—is about 100 meters south, and just a few steps further is a good PAM supermarket with everything you might need. There truly wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Even the weather was perfect. Even when the rain was pouring down.
Everything related to the apartment was to our liking, so I can't really respond to this question. I can only offer a few minor suggestions, perhaps.
In addition to everything you already have in the apartment, maybe consider adding two large umbrellas. :) Regular-sized umbrellas don’t fit into carry-on luggage for airplanes. On our last day, we bought two nice, big ones, but later we had to throw them away at the airport. We should have left them in your apartment, but, well, we thought they were nice and didn’t consider it in time. So, my suggestion is: buy two nice, big umbrellas for the apartment.
This has nothing to do with tourists or us since we didn’t spend much time in the apartment anyway, but if this were our place—and keeping in mind that this might be a cultural difference between Rome and Zagreb—we would plant something large and green along the terrace railings to avoid looking directly into the neighbors’ windows. It didn’t bother us at all, but it might if we lived in that apartment.
You could also consider installing some soft lighting on the terrace. We ended up moving a table lamp from the living room, but that’s not a good solution. The terrace is beautiful—essential for smokers—and, even though we were on vacation, we still had to do some work. Some comfortable lighting would be useful.
All of these are minor suggestions. We truly liked everything and felt at home. And next time—soon—when we return to Rome, we’ll live here again.
- Denys (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was clean, a very comfortable apartment, a supermarket within walking distance, and a grocery store downstairs. The apartments are equipped with everything you need Everything was great
- Marc.lewczuk (10/5): Nice place to spent few nights in Rome. - Nice, sunny apartment with brillliant terrace and everything what you need to spend your holiday in Rome. The host is very friendly and respons very quickly for any question. Moreover at the beginning waited for us welcome gift what was very sweet gesture. In the neighbourhood is a lot of coffeehouses, grocery stores and restaurants. I can truly recommend this place to others. Nothing to say.
