• nao (10/5): 最高！ - ロケーションが最高でした。目の前にBEACON HILL PARKがあり、散歩をするとリスや孔雀など、様々な動物と会うことができてとても楽しかったです。市街地の中心部へのアクセスも良く、とても楽しく過ごすことができました。 また、部屋も広く快適で、スタッフも親切でとても過ごしやすかったです。

• Annette (8/5): Comfortable Rooms at a Great Location. - The spacious room at the Helm was great. The bed was very comfortable & the kitchenette a bonus. It was so good to have a kettle & toaster- rare items we had found on our travels from Yellowstone in US across to the Canadian Rockies & BC. Leaving apples for guests was a thoughtful & helpful gesture. Beautiful Park across the road. We were sad we were unable to have a longer walk there. The location was very walkable to many interesting places to see. The lack of elevator for luggage, esp up to level 3 where we were. From a design perspective, the cupboard over the tiolet & also the power point directly above kitchen sink seemed dangerous. Teabags ( e.g English or Irish Breakfast) in the suites would be good. They were in boxes in a cupboard in reception area, but it felt a little uncomfortable helping ourselves to those. A sign to say "please take teabags & little milks as you need" might have helped.
• Fatima (10/5): A relaxing escape in the heart of Victoria - The hotel has a central location that favors a walking experience for exploring the city. The Beacon Hill Park is just across the street. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The front desk and hotel staff in general are super supportive and very kind. It was a great experience for me and my family! PS: Be aware the hotel has no elevators, so if you need accomodations for accessibility make sure you ask for a room on the first or second floor (there is a ramp on the outside of the building).
• BRIGID (7/5): Comfortable beds. Great clean kitchen. Close to it all while still being private. Great staff. No elevator. - All was good except for being on the third floor with no elevator. Rooms comfortable with good size and clean kitchen. Staff was exceptional. Just having no elevator was very difficult.

• Annette (7/5): Very Comfotable & Lovely Location Opposite Beautiful, Large Park. - Our room was spacious & the bed was very comfortable. It was wonderful to have a kettle ( rare item on our travelling in US & Canada) & the Kitchenette was a bonus. It was lovely that apples were left for guests each day. Tea bags could have been in the room ( e.g Irish Breakfast). They were in a cupboard at reception but it felt a bit uncomfortable helping ourself to them. An elevator would certainly help- getting luggage to Floor 3 was hard work.

• Cheryl (8/5): A comfortable and convenient place to stay for 2-3 nights. - Huge room/bed with separate living and dining/kitchenette. We did not eat there so used the table to put one suitcase on. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay for 2-3 nights. The stand in the wardrobe for suitcases is pretty useless if your suitcase opens in the middle as most do these days. Shower over the bath is OK but the showerhead aimed permanently at the wall. No shower caps - maybe this is normal in Canada?

The rooms were spacious and well equipped with a kitchen. It took us a while to find the heater controls do up til then we were a bit cold. No spare blankets.

• Pamela Everett (8/5): Overall it's still a good hotel in a great area opposite Beacon Hill Park, close to everything. - The kitchen was quite well stocked although the frying pan had seen better days. Fridge was old but did the job. Great to have a freezer. The living room had a very nice view unfortunately noise from the traffic was terrible. Fortunately I had packed ear plugs for bedtime. You should mention this when people are booking. Bathroom ok nice and clean, plenty of towels etc The sink is huge for a small bathroom not necessary. Large closet but could have needed more hangers but I could have asked for more. When I booked I didn't know we would be on the third floor. We are seniors and have been to this hotel many times but have never been up that high. No elevator because it is an old hotel but it has been beautifully renovated. We booked for a week so we brought more stuff with us than usual. This does not deter me from booking this hotel in the future. I will however phone the hotel directly and ask for a particular room. There are a few rooms on the main level that would be good for us

• Ian (9/5): Comfortable older style hotel in great location close to downtown. - The staff were very helpful - allowed us to store luggage after early arrival, helpful advice on cafe for breakfast and good coffee. Room was bigger than expected and kitchen was useful. No lift to 3rd floor but staff advised how to use a ramp to firstly reach 2nd floor and it was no problem.

Alles ist fussläufig erreichbar, vor allem der sehr schöne Beacon Hill Park ist direkt nebenan. Die kleine Küche war angemessen ausgestattet. Der Kühlschrank war etwas laut.

• Douglas (10/5): Ideal accommodations for visiting Victoria. - Location is ideal for parking your car and walking downtown and to Cook St restauarant area. Service from Kristian during the day and the night manager who guided us to the overflow parking after returning very late was impeccable. This was our second stay here and won’t be our last. No concerns.

We thought it might be a bit squishy but the room was very comfortable. Even the pullout couch was comfy! We actually didn't 'not like' anything! :)

King size bed and a murphy bed as well.. its a little loud being right beside a major intersection in downtown Victoria

• Karen (10/5): The Helms Inn was our home base for so much exploring of the city. We could walk easily or drive from the hotel to other - A smaller hotel with great amenities! Very close to downtown and the harbour. The laundry was much appreciated. We loved having a kitchenette to prepare breakfast. Nothing.

• Mary Lou (10/5): A little gem - LOCATION! Within walking distance of downtown, the wharf, James Bay, Cook St Village & right across the street from the large & beautiful Beacon Hill Park. Very close to main highways, theatres, restaurants. Very comfortable bed and very clean. Quiet at night. Friendly service and a reasonable price. I loved the scent of the flowering crabapple tree. A bath mat would make me feel safer when showering.
