• Julie (7/5): Location great. Place is clean. Owners need to fix issues. - The location was perfect if you want to be near Portobello Road. Literally down the street from the mini-Dishoom, and still on a quiet street. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with the hosts. The phone number on the info they sent was unreachable either by phone or text or on WhatsApp, and the ONLY way to get a message to them was through Booking.com, which they did not look at promptly. There was a broken toilet seat, which meant that every time you sat on the toilet, you literally fell in, and none of us were large people. We FINALLY managed to get through to the host and told them (via email). They replied, "thank you for telling me," and only when we insisted that it was a real problem did they agreed to fix it, which they did. They need to be extremely attentive to the info they send to renters on how to reach them, and then be available when something is wrong. Just reaching owners through Booking.com is unacceptable. The key to get in the gate doesn't work, and it takes about 5 minutes each time to jiggle it into submission. Also, having to lock yourself in to a locked gate that doesn't reliably open, and then the door (which has a lock and does) feels like it could be a safety issue in any emergency. All of these things are fixable. The contact info needs to be updated, correct, and sent immediately. They need to pay attention to their emails and texts. A communication that something is broken needs to be answered with 'I'll be right there to fix it.' The gate issue and inability to open the gate MUST be fixed. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well located. If those things are fixed, I'd recommend more wholeheartedly.

• Yenice (9/5): We stayed at the spot where everyone keeps coming up to take photos:) - The location was great. The house was very clean. It was close to the markets. The host answered all our questions clearly. I highly recommend it. We chose to eat at home. So, I would have liked to have had more kitchen supplies. Still, there were plenty of supplies to meet all our needs. Other than that, we didn’t have any problems.

La déco est vraiment charmante et tout l’appartement est très bien équipé. Les voisins du dessus étaient un peu bruyant tôt le matin, mais cela n’a en rien gâché notre séjour

• Guillet Vincent (4/5): Je ne recommanderais pas ce logement au prix demandé. - Vaguement l'emplacement Séjour très mitigé dans ce logement de Notting Hill, d’autant plus qu’il ne s’agissait que de deux nuits. Pour un séjour si court, on ne s’attendait pas à devoir gérer autant de complexité. Dès la réservation, on reçoit une avalanche de messages, listes, PDF, vidéos… une encyclopédie de règles façon “conciergerie numérique”, où tout est hyper-processé, digitalisé, codifié. On y trouve même un long chapitre dédié exclusivement aux poubelles. Et malgré ce roman, les poubelles étaient déjà pleines à notre arrivée. Le contraste est frappant : le moindre manquement du voyageur est anticipé (parfois facturable), alors que des points essentiels ne sont tout simplement pas gérés. Avec en bonus le supplément de 25 £ par heure pour un early check-in, qui relève presque de l’humour. L’appartement, lui, ne correspond pas à l’annonce : • la “vue sur jardin” donne sur un extérieur totalement à l’abandon, • le “balcon avec vue sur la ville” est introuvable, • la “salle à manger” est une table coincée dans un couloir menant à une cuisine sans fenêtre, • et détail sidérant : un paillasson occupant un tiers d’une chambre donnant sur le jardin — effet franchement eurk. Côté entretien, plusieurs points ne passent pas : murs écaillés dans l’entrée, meuble cassé ressemblant à une poubelle supplémentaire, cheveux dans les serviettes, et un salon où tapis et coussins semblent accueillir une colonie d’acariens (réaction allergique immédiate). Sans oublier l’entrée du logement : bacs à ordures et pièges à rats posent l’ambiance. Pour plus de 1 100 € deux nuits, on attend un minimum de cohérence entre les exigences adressées au voyageur et la réalité fournie. Et quitte à produire des pages et des pages d’instructions, l’hôte ferait surtout bien de venir jeter un œil à ce qu’il loue réellement, au lieu de tout piloter en mode digital. En résumé : bon emplacement, mais trop de règles, trop de frais, trop d’écart entre la promesse et la réalité. Si vous hésitez entre ce logement et un hôte

• Shqipe (7/5): Ich wäre noch einige Tage in der Wohnung geblieben. - Es was sauber, es gab genügend Platz für eine Familie. Auch gab es eine kleine Terrasse hinten raus, dass war toll. Es hängen viele Bilder was die Wohnung gemütlich macht. Als wir ankamen, war es mitten in der Nacht, leider gab es nicht einmal eine kleine Flasche Wasser bereit.

• özlem (9/5): - We had a great stay at this lovely flat in Notting Hill. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, even after check-out, communication was smooth and easy throughout. The flat is stylish, and well-equipped for a short stay. The living room is bright and comfortable, and the two-bedroom setup worked perfectly for us. The small garden accessed from one of the bedrooms was a charming bonus. The location is fantastic, we’ve stayed in this area before and love it, and this flat is just a few steps away from a main bus stop, which made getting around London very convenient. We’d definitely recommend this cozy home to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place in West London.

• Matty (10/5): Great apartment and great location - This was a lovely apartment in a perfect location for our family holiday in London. The communication with the host throughout was excellent. The apartment has everything needed for a home from home stay which is what we needed traveling with a 4 year old. Would definitely stay here again. This is only a small thing to consider if you are travelling with a car on the advertisement says there is parking included. There is some street parking right outside but is maximum 4 hours. But close by there is a car park that is very reasonable which we used that worked out great.

• Sara (9/5): Great little flat in Notting Hill. Perfect girlfriend trip spot. - Amazing location, very close to Portobello Road, tube, amenities. The flat was cozy and the beds were great. Philippa provided plenty of coffee and tea and the kitchen was well equipped. Heating was efficient and the bathroom has a towel warmer for those damp English days. Didn’t use it because the weather was chilly but the flat also has a quaint back patio garden which would be lovely in the summer. Would definitely stay here again. Some extra throw blankets would be nice for the living room space on chilly evenings and maybe a spotlight on the outside stairs to see better in the dark. Other than that an excellent stay!

• Justin (10/5): We loved our stay and would definitely go back. - The flat is in a perfect location just back from Portobello Road. Very close to great shops, restaurants and cafes and not far from the underground, but was also relatively quiet. Bedrooms are towards the back so there was no street noise at night. The interior was thoughtfully decorated with a place for everything, the bathroom was nice and new, and very clean, kitchen well appointed despite being small. Phillipa provided an amazing brochure on arrival with lots of useful information about the house and the area as well as places to see and eat and information on how to travel around the city. We felt very welcomed and any questions we had were answered extremely quickly.

• Zsolt (9/5): Good value for your money in West London - Excellent location, steps away from hip Portobello Road Community with shops and great affordable casual restaurants. Nicely furnitured and well managed tiny apartman. Bonus is the ultra comfy bed. More transparent communication would be welcome by host. Apartman is on the lower ground however it was not communicated in advance, just like the deposit system where host send you an independent link to pay additional (but returned after checkout) fee to cover for potential demages. Minor fix: the shower control panel is a mess

• Ingrid (10/5): Delightful stay at a dreamy location. - I had the best of time in London and this place plays a huge role in it. The location is top-notch and we had our meals at the cafes and restaurants nearby most of the time. I love its close proximity to Westbourne Grove and its slightly high-end shopping and cafes. It may be compact in space but it is really cosy with all the amenities that you may need in your travels. It's a short tube (Ladbroke Grove) ride to central London and the bus stops are just a few metres away from the house. It has a small garden at the back and I reckon it'd look really pretty in summer (it was too cold in winter). Being a couple of movie buffs, my daughter and I visited all the movie locations from Notting Hill, Love Actually and About Time from around the area. So much fun! We stayed here for about a week, and I thought it'd be nice if there were broom/hoover/mops lying around so we could clean the house during our stay.
• Jane (7/5): Nice. - This apartment was in Notting Hill just off Portobello Road. The location is fantastic. Close to tube station, close to great pubs and of course Portobellow Rd for markets, vintage shops etc. Loved the location for that. We felt very safe and secure here as it had the front gate with a key, then a coded key panel to the front door. All the townhouses in the street are colourful, which has its pros and cons. Its a nice two bedroom, one bathroom, lower ground / basement apartment (so its underneath the main townhouse). The lounge was a good size for three people, with a window that looks out up to the street, nicely decorated. The coat hooks were a good addition (sounds odd I know, but so many places didnt provide for this!). One small bedroom and one standard size (both with windows). The beds were so comfortable, definitely the best we had come across for our whole month away (London being our last destination), so that was good. Philippa was great at communication. We didnt realise it was lower ground/ basement flat. Photos didnt indicate this. So that was a surprise. Not a deal breaker, but be aware of narrow outside steps down to the lower ground area if you have mobility issues. It was a very small flat, photos make it look bigger, not a great deal of space if you have lots of luggage in the small room. The kitchen was functional, but very very narrow (you cant have two people walk past each other). For example if you open the fridge door it reaches the opposite wall, and no dishwasher. The only area to eat was a shelf in the hallway with stools under. We didnt use it. I didnt like having to clean dishes in the apartment at the end, we felt the previous guests didnt do a great job so we recleaned all the dishes and cutlery ourselves. Not the end of the world of course, but just something to note if you are in a hurry to leave, you must empty the bin and clean and put away dishes etc. You have people in the street, out the front of the flat, taking photos of themselves on the steps of the townhouse above ground, ALL day, so we really couldnt have the front blinds open, ever, unless you wanted to feel like you were at the zoo with them looking down into the below ground window. They are at all the surrounding townhouses as well, on the steps of the houses. People everywhere taking photos of themseles in front of the townhouses they werent even staying at. We had people with tripods setting up! It was fascinating and crazy.
