• Javi (10/5): Recomiendo - La casa increible y la vista hermosa, al frente del mar!!! Camas comodas, acceso sin escaleras y estacionamiento.sala de juegos al frente. Tenia jacuzzi pequeño ademas de la ducha. Estaba un poco mas lejos de apollo bay, a unos 15 minutos. Lo que dificulta un poco el acceso a alimentos y otros.

• Peter (9/5): Great views - The views from the lounge room were breathtaking. We also loved the gaming room and the tennis court which is great both for adults and older kids /teens. The beds and couches were very comfortable . We had a couple of little fixable issues: - The front lock was not working from outside - the dishwasher didn't wash properly with one of the propellers coming off - the games in drawers were in disorder with parts missing - the dishes in the cupboard and showers were not clean, there was a dirty towel in the wardrobe from previous tenants in the downstairs bedroom - a couple of extra hooks or an additional towel rail in the bathroom downstairs would help. - also it would be great to put some clothes hangers in the wardrobe in the downstairs bedroom.

Wifi Ok but should have been in the booklet that is left in the room as only found the wifi password once I logged in to my emails on my phone but took a while as the network reception was limited. The kitchen pots and pans need replacing as there was no bottom pot to the steamer and some pots handles were not sturdy. Cooking in the fry pan was challenging as everything stuck to it even using cooking spray. Some pots were not washed properly residue from previous use.

No non slip mat in the spa to step in and out of shower. No outside light in BBQ area. Light not working in lounge area.

• Morgan (10/5): Amazing Place - Whitecrest was only a quick 14 minute drive to the town of apollo bay. The window looks straight out to the beach and the great ocean road. The apartment had everything we needed and the host was lovely messaging us preparing for the weekend.

• Sabrina (8/5): Very good - Highlight is definitely the view of the ocean. Simply beautiful in the morning. Very spacious, excellent for groups. House looks rather dated but well-equipped with cooking, bbq, cleaning, laundry equipment. Fireplace was lovely too. Bathroom had an excellent heater, but something missing would be the handheld shower head (they only have the fixed overhead one). Another drawback is the location is quite a drive from Apollo Bay main area, making it slightly inconvenient to find food or get groceries from Foodworks etc. Would still stay again despite these.

• Ceylan (8/5): Perfect intimate getaway! - I really enjoyed the size of the apartment, enough space for a couple. The view of the ocean just breathless! Also, the local supermarket is beautiful short drive. The apartment is beautiful however, there was a smell coming from the couch (needs a good steam clean). The staff responded quiet quickly via text & was friendly.

The apartment is comfortable and the gas heater was very efficient on cooler evenings. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had everything we needed for our stay. While the view is wonderful, there is no beach access without driving; it would be great to have a path down to the beach across the road. Dead mouse in the kitchen the first morning! Wouldn't stop us from staying there again!

• Sam (3/5): The website shows photos of a clean, newly renovated property, the bathroom tells otherwise - Location is good, far enough from crowds to enjoy the peace. Cleanliness was sub par, cockroaches and dust. It needs a proper clean, not a once over with a cloth.

The views are to die for with wallabies in the field nextdoor at dusk, to dolphins first thing in the morning on various occasions.. Having to leave after 3 night stay, our finances had run dry.

Electric fireplace was a great touch and heated up the place very quickly. Very close to Apollo Bay and Wye River. The host was lovely, super helpful, responsive. The sofabed wasn't super comfortable. It was pretty expensive but price was consistent with other properties in the area at this time of year.

Experience would have been so much better with - * Location * View of ocean * Fireplace * Washing machine * Unit not properly cleaned (bathroom had black hair in the corner - clearly not cleaned) Kitchen cupboards also not clean (pots & pan cupboard) * Utensils dirty - pan, glass and some cutlery. Pan had so much food residue that’s build up overtime - could not be cleaned or removed * Kitchen can do with new utensils and cookware. Pans handle broken, could not hold it properly. Not a range of pots, all same size. * Description mentioned that there’s a “private beach” Please note, there is no direct access across the units to the beach. It is bush, so access requires a drive in the car to find suitable entrance * Please note, the unit’s patio/terrae does not have a roof or awning, so if the weather should turn and it rains, you would not be able to sit outside. * No board games etc. Would suggest travellers are encouraged to bring some to pass time if weather is poor.

• Naomi (10/5): It was a beautiful experience - The view of the ocean was amazing. The resort was so beautiful and clean and was just so comfortable to stay in. We will definitely book again. Nothing bad to say but I will say, driving 15 mins to the shops every day was a bit of a hike but next time we’ll just do some shopping before arriving so we are more prepared.
• Damien (10/5): Great! - Great location, amazing view and thoroughly relaxing. Not too far from Apollo Bay and amazing shops in Lorne. Even though the weather wasn’t that great, it was quite relaxing watching the changes in the colours of the ocean in front of the property.

The bathroom wasn't as clean as we would have preferred. There were cobwebs hanging in the bathroom and from some light fittings. There was soap scum around the tap fitting. The recreational area/room was great but very tired.

• Tim (6/5): Great view of the Great Ocean Road, but a disappointing apartment - The view was absolutely fabulous. From on the deck or from inside the apartment the view is what makes this place at all worthwhile. Unfortunately the interior does not match the view. We found it very cramped. It's not a big place and badly furnished for the size. This wasn't helped by the fact that the upstairs bedroom is small and so we had no option but to leave our cases downstairs on one of the sofas. The kitchen is good, but the bathroom could use updating. Added to that maintenance work was being carried out on the back walkway, which made access difficult. Overall we found the place disappointing, especially for the amount charged. We had expected something better.

• Sue (7/5): As a cold weather experience it was good to stay only two nights - The location's view is great, albeit across the road from the sea - not shown in the images. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment is very tired, with mould in the shower, incomplete tap fittings and standard items missing from the kitchen, ie baking tray, cooking oil, scourer for cleaning. The most disappointing issue was no hot water for a full 5 minutes after turning on the tap - such a waste of a precious commodity - everytime hot water was needed, be it showering or washing dishes, it was 5 minutes getting to the tap.

It was really cold when we were there and the fireplace heated the unit , making it warm and cozy. It is on the great ocean road, so sometimes getting back on the road can feel scary. You can’t get to the ocean or beach from the complex but there are beaches nearby

• Samantha (5/5): Not worth the stress. - Lovely view. Large living space. Large bathroom. The worst check-in experience we’ve ever encountered. Very uncomfortable bed with little space on either side - sleeping on the right side, I had to be careful to not walk into the door when I got up in the middle of the night (it sticks out across the pathway). The floorboards at the bedroom entry need maintenance. Outdoor lights stay on all night going directly into the bedroom even with the blinds down. Nice bathroom, however a bit pretentious with the ‘who gives a crap’ toilet roll displayed just for show… it wasn’t actually the toilet paper supplied. We booked through Booking.com, and had from 3pm-5pm to checkin. We arrived before 5pm to find reception closed with no number listed to call. We called the number on the booking.com listing multiple times, leaving messages - 03 52370228 - no one ever answered that number, or called back. It was cold and starting to rain and there was little to no mobile reception in the complex… we had to go back to the carpark to get any reception and log back into Booking.com. (I had checked twice throughout the day on our drive - we had no messages, not until after 5pm.) The code on our booking didn’t work. Then found repetitive long-winded messages with a different code. NOTE: On the listing there was NO mention of this being a ‘self-checkin’ accommodation. We only found this out after arriving. We had difficulty with the lock box sticking. There was a mobile number to call in the message, but wasn’t answered either, so I left a message. I received a phone message some time later. I called back when we found mobile reception and was left very unimpressed. Property management needs to do better. They could start by removing all references to the 03 number on the listing if it is not being monitored (and the signage inside the apartment) and stating it is self-checkin on the listing. They also need to put the mobile number on the door at reception and acknowledge that mobile reception is so bad there!

• Anonymous (10/5): The most relaxing weekend away. - The property has a beautiful overlook of the ocean, it has all the utilities you would need while staying, (coffee machine, kettle, stove top & oven (including pots and pans), dishwasher, sink, microwave and a fridge. The property also has a beautiful gas heater, a fan and a split system, also a balcony with a Weber barbecue and a table and seating area so that you can enjoy the beautiful view no matter what you’re doing. We had the most relaxing stay, with a 10/10 comfortable bed and a spa bath!! .
