- Alessia (1/5): Deceptive apartment, a disaster - entry with safe deposit box They moved me to a different apartment. The second one had no heating, no hot water, no internet, and the European-sized plugs were low quality. We had to buy adapters because I struggled to charge my phone for two days. We contacted the owners, but they didn't respond, and when they did, they got angry and even tried to get us to leave. They canceled the reservation, falsely claiming we didn't show up. I had to contact Booking.com because we wanted to leave and get a refund, but no one contacted us afterward. So we were stuck in that awful apartment, freezing and without internet. It was a terrible experience. The neighborhood is far away and feels dangerous; you can hear the cars, the curtains don't work, and all the light comes in. It was the worst experience ever.

Nuestra experiencia no ha sido buena y, sinceramente, el precio pagado no se corresponde en absoluto con la calidad del apartamento.
Nada más llegar vimos una falta importante de equipamiento: no había wifi disponible (o al menos no lo encontramos por ninguna parte). Contactamos con el alojamiento y simplemente nos dijeron que estaba al lado de la televisión, pero allí no había nada y no nos dieron ninguna solución, por lo que estuvimos toda la estancia sin wifi.
La cocina estaba prácticamente sin menaje: solo había un tenedor, dos cuchillos, no había vasos, ni cacerolas, ni utensilios básicos para cocinar, algo totalmente impropio de un apartamento turístico.
La cama fue otro gran problema: el colchón estaba en muy mal estado, con los muelles clavándose, muy incómodo, y acabábamos levantándonos con dolor después de pasar el día caminando. Para descansar, que es algo básico, fue muy decepcionante.
La limpieza era simplemente aceptable, pero lejos de lo que uno espera por este precio. Además, el sofá estaba roto y, en vez de arreglarlo o retirarlo, estaba tapado con una toalla vieja, dando una sensación de dejadez bastante evidente.
En general, da la impresión de muy poco mantenimiento y poca atención al huésped. Por el precio pagado esperábamos unas condiciones mínimas que no se cumplieron. No lo recomendaría y desde luego nosotros no repetiríamos.

After contacting Booking.com, thats when the electricity was topped up, which finished again the next morning. I had to let them know again there was no electricity. There was also no hot water to bath in the bathroom, I had to buy a bucket and mix water using the electric kettle. An engineer came to check the water, by the next morning, it was cold again.

I do not at all recommend this apartment to anyone. The host did not care at all about my wellbeing on that house that did not have electricity. I tried all my level best to "beg" for the host to provide electricity but that did not happen. I spent a very cold rainy night in a very cold house with no electricity and no heating. There were empty promises that the electricity issue will be solved shortly, from around 5pm until 11pm. The whole 6 hours I was told to wait for the issue to be resolved and eventually was told that it will be resolved tomorrow. The next day around 10am I asked for update and an hour later I had to find new accommodation coz there was still no feedback. I was later told that the problem has been resolved, only for me to notice that it wasn't. So, my only option was to move out but I was supposed to stay for 3 nights.

- Daniel (1/5): Do not stay at this property, even if seems like a good deal, it's not worth it. - When we arrived at the property there was no electricity or heating, the host didn't respond for 3.5 hours on either booking or on Whatsapp. After we left property, they sent a generic message in the morning, asking how was our stay and asked us to check out before 10.30 am.

- Lara Domínguez (1/5): LA PEOR EXPERIENCIA DE MI VIDA - Absolutamente nada Llegamos allí y el hombre se desentendió de todo, le puse un mensaje a las 8 diciendo que nuestro vuelo se había atrasado y nos quedamos en la calle porque no había nadie allí que nos diera la llave . Y para colmo el dueño del piso es un ESTAFADOR nos alquiló el apartamento y NO HABÍA PAGADO EL RECIBO DE LUZ. No teníamos nada de electricidad ni agua caliente, ni siquiera para cargar el móvil. Estuvimos por la tarde y cuando nos dimos cuenta nos fuimos a un hotel a pasar las noches que nos quedaban. Répugnant! Le lit , le matelas , horrrrible!Nous avons dormi sur du grillage à poules. Au niveau de l’isolation c’est très bruyant .
Établissement au troisième étage, très pénible pour une personne qui a des problèmes aux genoux.

It's a half-hour walk to Liverpool Street station. The street is very noisy, even at night; it feels like you're outside. Access to the apartment is quite awkward, with very narrow stairs. Carrying luggage up three floors on foot is difficult. The check-in process, with key collection at a store, is unsatisfactory. No one knows anything about the apartment, and I wasted an hour trying to find it.The apartment is separated from another apartment by plasterboard, and you can hear the neighbors when they move: their floor creaks, and ours. It feels like there are other people in the house with you. We only found four bath towels: one per person for a week. No other bath towels. The Wi-Fi didn't work for the entire stay: I complained, but the owner didn't fix it. He never showed up.There is no hairdryer. The TV didn't work without Wi-Fi.There is no hairdryer. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable; the springs came out with every movement. We didn't get any rest. The sofa bed for two people is small. There's no bed. Kitchen appliances new condition. The shower head had to be handheld (on a fixed fitting that only secures but doesn’t allow rotation), the bathroom mirror was installed way too high (my partner could not even see her full face on tiptoes), wardrobe doors didn’t shut, the blinds were faulty, the kitchen tap was wobbly, the clock needed new batteries, the wifi did not work (even after turning off and on again) and the tv could not be connected to wifi.

The nearby high street was so quirky and friendly, the apartment is modern, fresh and comfortable! :) Only minor things such as the shower, the shower head was held in a very awkward position on the wall and the skylight was left open in the bathroom so when we arrived rain water was covering the floor, but this was easily sorted once we found a mop to close it with, nothing that would stop us from coming again!

They offered no alternative accommodation and claimed they would handle everything with Booking so we could be refunded — but that never happened. After this happened, we read through the reviews more carefully and found that MULTIPLE GUESTS HAVE REPORTED THE EXACT SAME SITUATION: a last-minute cancellation with no help or follow-up from the host. IT SEEMS THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT, BUT A RECURRING ISSUE. 0 respect for clients

- Alexa (1/5): - Me and my family had this apartment booked for the weekend and we had it cancelled 2 hrs and a half before we arrived , I couldn't see the message as I was driving to London but when we got there I tried to call the owner which didn't even bother to pick up the phone , after a few minutes of waiting he/she finally got back to me with a text message telling me that there is a leak in the apartment and they had to cancel my booking and to our surprise there was another 2 guys waiting to enter in the apartment which I helped them to enter as they were struggling to enter their PIN for the key locker. So the 3 of us had to spend some couple of hours of the streets wondering what to do next. The worse experience of my life , totally unprofessional and disappointing.

- Catalina (4/5): I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re traveling with young kids, elderly family members, or heavy luggage. - The place was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. However, the listing did not mention that it’s on the fifth floor with no elevator. The steep stairs felt unsafe—my 77-year-old dad struggled to climb them and nearly fell, while my 8-year-old actually did fall. Carrying large luggage up was also quite risky. Additionally, the bathtub was extremely slippery, which only added to our safety concerns. These issues made our stay much more stressful than expected.
Due to these issues, I requested a refund for one night so my dad could stay somewhere safer, but the host refused. I ended up booking a hotel for him to avoid further risk.
Additionally, picking up the keys was inconvenient, requiring a nearly 10-minute walk from the apartment—challenging when carrying luggage and traveling with kids. Returning the keys at checkout was initially required at the same offsite location, though the host later allowed us to leave them at the apartment.
Overall, while the apartment itself was fine, the lack of transparency about accessibility and safety made our stay stressful and inconvenient.

- Ash (10/5): Perfect little spot for our stay - Location was great, walking distance to so many great areas, super close to transport. Not sure why all the other reviews say it doesn't feel safe as the area felt totally safe for us. I don't think having a bon at the entrance was an issue either like others mentioned. Would definitely stay here again. Communication was great and we were allowed a super early check in on arrival at 9am with no hassle at all from the owners. It was a little hot but we had fans and probably should mention the stairs up to the apartment in the description but they were fine once we were up with our luggage.

- Justin (3/5): Poor - No contact check in and check out. Generally clean. Advertised as having air conditioning, which was the main reason I booked. It did not have air conditioning, and when I questioned this with the host was told to use the heating, the opposite of what I wanted. When I pointed out that will only make it warmer not colder I got a reply saying there is no air conditioning.
Again advertised as having a bath which was another reason for booking due to having back problems and needing a bath rather than shower. The plug in the bath does not work and was actually removed from the plug hole and put on the side which tells me they knew it didn't work. This meant I couldn't use the bath and had to use the shower, which was fixed way too low and I had to lean/bend in an unnatural position to use it and this cause even more pain to my back. I am not a tall person so have no idea who a shower at this height would suit.
The entrance way was directly next to bins which absolutely stunk of rubbish and there were discarded mattresses and other rubbish outside.
There were stains on the sofa and dead flies on the wall and fridge, stains on the floor, damage to walls and ceilings, damage to picture frames on walls.
I was provided with instructions for entering the building and getting my key and also WiFi name and password. When recieving this password i decided to leave physical work i had to do at home and only take my laptop so i could do work online instead. Upon checking in the WiFi password worked and connected to the network but there was a message that it was "connected with no Internet" I contacted the host about this on the first night and was told I should use the password to log into the Internet, I again explained I'd done that and it connected but the network has no Internet. This was never sorted and I had no Internet for the entire stay and due to being top floor had very poor phone signal.

- Paige (6/5): Decent, great location, clean, no frills. - It was in a great central location and by far the cheapest place I found in the area. Self-check-in sent a text over WhatsApp with photos and clear instructions on how to access the property. During our stay, the hosts were very responsive. If you are not fussy and just need a place to crash for a night or two in Hoxton, I'd recommend it. we arrived 30 minutes after check-in time of 3 and the cleaner was still in. When they left, they put the keys in the lockbox and didn't change the code. Moreover, the front door(s) into the property were never locked - so it didn't feel secure. The heating was at 40 degrees when we arrived and was unpleasant. The apartment itself looked to have a decent standard of finishing, but maybe it was completed a while ago. The sofas were soiled and well-worn, which was a shame as one doubled as a bed. We were supplied with an extra set of pillows and a duvet for this but no fitted sheet to cover the stained sofa. The internet worked upon arrival, but by the morning we were connected with no internet - it looked like a Vodafone dongle, so I suspect as we stayed at the end of the month they had run out of internet. The cabinet door in front of the washing machine was broken and stuffed in a corner. They had a clothes horse, but it was broken and in multiple pieces - so it was useless. The bed was clean and a good size, but you could feel each spring in the mattress. There was just stuff left all around, random food bits in the fridge, some iPods and random bits and pieces in the cabinets. A chopping board and a few tea towels would have made the kitchen feel more complete. I think the place could do with a little TLC.

- Zuzanna (6/5): Wouldnt recommend - Flat was clean and cosy. Very good communication with host, easy self check-in, dishwasher, washing machine- personally did not use it but it was there. Neighbourhood did not feel safe, entrance to the flat was in the trash, looked like a slums-very dissapointing. WiFi broken, there was a router and a signal but it did not worked at all. There was only one roll of toilet paper. It was noisy

- Pedro (3/5): The location is great, but some times we rather have peace of mind. - The location was great, I've lived in London so the area is well known to me. Nice market, great small shops, a big park all nearby, and within walking distance to Shoreditch and Dalston. The managers were nice but It was not that easy to communicate, from the moment we got to the property it took us between 30 to 40 minutes for the property manager to tell me the code of the box outside that had the keys, I don't quite understand why they just didn't send that info before we arrived, like other properties do.
When we got in there had been no cleaning done. It took us over an hour or so before we were finally told someone would come to clean it. Imagine telling your 5 yo they can't just take off their shoes and explore the new place because everywhere is dirty. This is a major thing when you're tired of traveling but you can't relax and settle in.
We were then informed that the cleaning had happened and when we got there we had to finish the cleaning, like put the rugs back in place which made us realise the cleaning was not great.
But enough of that.
The mattress is crap, the thermal and sound insulation is bad and there is no air conditioning. So resting properly is not something that they can publicise :).
The location is great, but some times we rather have peace of mind.
- Jean-michel (8/5): Very confortable and convenient - Location, instructions very clear, friendly host, flexible arrival. Nicely renovated flat in a very quiet and convenient location. Close to many public transports Equipments in the kitchen sometimes not adapted (e.g. cooking pan available but very small size, four hosts but only one chair on the kitchen's table)
- Huong (7/5): Space was overall good. Could improve for better guest experience. - The apartment is new, bright, clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was big. It’s only a 7 minute walk to the Hoxton station. There was very little info about the accommodation on the booking listing. The host didn’t share any instructions for check-in until I asked on the day. Entrance to the apartment was in the back alley next to lots of trash. The apartment was on the top floor so we had to bring our luggage up 5 flights of stairs. Wifi was broken + we couldn’t turn on the AC. It was late at night so I didn’t ask anymore.
- Emily (8/5): Great place to stay - We liked the location, the apartment was very clean and modern. 4 of us stayed, and it was spacious enough for us as we didn't spend loads of time here as we had a lot planned for the weekend.
Kitchen it nice and well equipped.
The sofa bed was very comfortable.
Overall, it was a nice place to stay and we would stay again The main bed mattress was really uncomfortable, and you can feel the springs. No wifi, although there is a hotspot and we couldn't find the TV remote, although that wasn't a major issue.
Quite a bit of noise from the main street could be heard on a weekend at night, but that's expected in a busy location.

- Michelle (6/5): Not as advertised. - Well equipped kitchen. We were in a attic apartment. There was NO Air conditioning as described. no mention that there was 6 flights of steps. Our 80 year old parents struggled. The key pad code was wrong. Fortunately we found the cleaner who let us in. The apartment was still being cleaned at 4:50pm.
No hand towels. Only 4 bath towels.

Nice modern flat with good layout Sheets very thin and no mattress protector. Also no chopping board or cheese grater.
- Chloe (1/5): Don't Stay Here! - Animal hair, coffee stains and door hanging off hinges. Cleaner had bad back, so place was not cleaned to any standard. We left and asked for refund which has not been done. I have photos and so do booking.com, don't believe the reply, clearly the venue is happy to lie!

- Erik (10/5): Exceptional - The owner responded quickly to all of our questions and was prompt to resolve any issues we had. We also were allowed to check in earlier and check out later than the official times. All in all, we had a great time in this apartment in London and can really recommend it!
