- Jeanette (4/5): Despite TV and air conditioner not working, we enjoyed the country experience. - Location. Friendly host.

Tiny room
- Barbara (7/5): Pleasant but pokie... - Location is pleasant, and quiet ... well away from any roads ... and the room was clean. Room was too small for the two of us, and the bed was also too small (a double) and uncomfortable. We planned on preparing a meal but this was impossible in the space.
- Carolynn (10/5): A great break 👌 - Our stay was wonderful. We were welcomed by our friendly hosts and penny the dog. Our beds were clean and very comfy.. plus the coffee and view were amazing. We will be back a.s.a.p
- Jo (10/5): -

- Heufel (7/5): -
- Juan Manuel (8/5): Muy recomendable y hermoso para descansar -
- Tim (10/5): - The Tranquility. The little dog.
- Nicole (10/5): Spiritually reenergised - The huge goanna sprinting… the finches collecting nesting material …the quiet wallabies and the tranquility. Lovely swimming pool and cappuccino with cooked breakfast. Art and inspiration. Nothing
- Wai-lin (3/5): - Surrounding views were partially good. Firepit had containers inside it instead of wood. Track to location can be a hazard esp after rain. Potholes, muddy tracks. Lucky we brought our own evening meal as the track would be hazardous driving in the dark.
No proper reception area and the kitchen/dining area was unattended and in total darkness after 6pm.
- KEXIN (10/5): perfect - The owner, Tonia, is very friendly and nice。we had a great time chatting together. The accommodation is located inside the farm. If you want to get close to nature and find a quiet place to stay, this is the most suitable place. Their dachshund Penny is very cute and we miss it very much.
- Tony (9/5): - Great relaxing place Nothing
- Helen (8/5): Decided at the last minute to have a night in accommodation after 10 weeks in remote outback.Didn’t want a sterile motel - The location was a lovely rural setting. Everything was great for us as we had a pub lunch in Quirindi and bought cheese, wine etc for dinner snack. But if you were not prepared you would have to drive to get dinner.
- deas (9/5): - Everything once there quiet and peaceful staff wonderful. Will restay. The drive in a bit wolf creekish eerie but once there beautiful and staff wonderful. Just wasn't expecting the drive in, but that's more to do with anxiety as first time there but will rebook

No dish washing detergent or washers no tea towels
Lucky I always take my own..just in case
- John (10/5): Lovely place in the Australian Bush - I stayed in a budget room for an overnight stay during a long road trip. The property was easy to find and the final unsealed section was well maintained and suitable for any vehicle. I was greeted by Rodney and Penny the Dachshund and introduced to Tania. I ordered my dinner and chose the option to eat in my room. For a budget room, it had everything I needed: a comfortable bed and a hot shower. Rodney then arrived with a tray of breakfast cereals, tea, coffee and biscuits. He returned later with my dinner of chicken with mashed potato, four veg and gravy. After watching some TV I went to bed and slept soundly in my comfortable bed. I will definitely return next time I pass through the area. It would have been nice to have had a soft drink or even a glass of water with dinner. It wasn't offered and I didn't think to ask.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (7/5): I had all I needed for one night in a lovely setting - Beautiful setting, welcoming hosts. Access road
- John (7/5): Experienced the beauty of nature with a night on this working farm - The property is in a rural location. Hosts were very welcoming. Nice area for sunrise and sunset photos. Very quiet location
Host was able to provide an evening meal as no restaurants available nearby The room is not arranged well for a comfortable stay. An extra single bed takes up room and there is no easy way to enjoy the TV viewing.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shibu (10/5): It was great.the owners were fantastic people - Very nice and clean Good privacy Need more boards and markings where what is
- Meeya (10/5): excellent - very pretty, and quite nothing everything was good
- Mareva (2/5): Disappointing, don’t bother. - The shower was strong. The area was pretty and peaceful. The room and bathroom were run down and there was mould in the bathroom and peeling paint. The curtain in the room was missing hooks. The fridge was disconnected when we got there and when connected was noisy. The room was very small and cramped.
- Lorraine (6/5): Pleasant -
- Graham (3/5): Poor -
- Isabelle (9/5): Slept very well and breakfast included - Clean, friendly and comfortable in a natural and rural setting Nothing
- Gennaro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (9/5): The accomodation was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Lovely quiet location on a farm property located off the m - Very clean and comfortable - breakfast tray a nice touch Isolated location which was difficult to find as we arrived late at night
- Shilo (10/5): A sweet country escape that’s peaceful and friendly. - It was true a country experience. Accomodation was lovely and comfortable. The service was exceptional and our host Penny the dog was the star of the show.
Tania and her husband came in a close second and welcomed us so graciously.
- Michael (7/5): It was an adventure. If we has stayed more than 1 night we could have done some exploring, tak - Loved the querky feel of the property. Lovely friendly hosts. Breakfast was basic but for a cereal eater fine. Fresh milk was a bonus! Property advertised as fully self-contained but no toaster. Extremely tiny inside space
- Shirley (8/5): A beautiful relaxing location - next time we would probably treat ourselves with a bigger room, but - A beautiful rural setting with a lovely relaxed atmosphere - the pool was a very welcome extra - the verandah with outdoor setting was a great place to sit and relax and have our breakfast The unsealed road to the property was ok, but if it had been wet weather, it would have been a bit risky in our 2WD vehicle, also the very small room was workable, but lots of juggling of appliances and crockery due to lack of space.
- Senthil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicki (8/5): Very good -
- Elysha (7/5): Good -
- Melinda (9/5): Superb -
- Lyndon (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, pet friendly, owners were amazing people , location is so peaceful, resident daschound Penny was super friendly, room was clean, classy and comfy. I had a great time staying here. Turn lights off at night to avoid bugs 🤣
- Margo (2/5): What a dump - Nothing Tiny box 3m x 3m including the bathroom. Strong chemical smell, no flyscreen on the door so couldnt leave open to get the smell out. Kettle, but no cups, no glasses, no cutlery or plates, no coffee or tea, or milk. No tea towel or pool towel.
Fridge wasn't plugged in so it wasn't cold. Room was very hot when I arrived - the owners had made no effort to make sure it was comfortable on arrival. Nowhere to put a bathroom bag in the bathroom. No hanging space for clothes, just a hook on the wall with 1 coathanger. No shade on the deck outside. The curtain hooks weren't fitted properly and kept falling out. I couldn't reach them properly as no chair to stand on. Listing facilities for this room included a hairdryer, kitchenware and toaster. None of those were in the room. Photo showed a chair - nope. Their dog barked for 1/2 hr in the middle of the night. I only stayed 1 night - reluctantly, then paid $25 more for a place a hundred times better. To charge $100 for that dump is outrageous.
- Hoskin (9/5): Superb - Quiet, beautiful farm bush surroundings
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Brian. (10/5): Exceptional - Peace & Quite
Friendly Staff
Location
- Jo-ann (9/5): Superb - Love the location and the owners couldn't be anymore helpful There was nothing we didn't like
- Wendy (7/5): The rural setting & quietness was just needed after a long trip. Very enjoyable sitting on the deck with a bottle of - Lovely quiet rural setting & loved the breakfast tray as an extra touch The kettle was up on top of a cupboard & luckily hubby is tall & could reach it, probably a safety hazard
- Michaela (9/5): Peaceful and well looked after - What a beautiful location! The hosts are beautiful people and so welcoming. Penny the dog was a joyful highlight!
The sunsets were divine and the location peaceful.
My 4yo and I stayed two nights in the smallest accomodation option on the property. It had everything we needed and more.
It was exactly as described.
And also exactly as far from Tamworth as expected since I’d done my research before booking. There was only just over 1km of dirt road so definitely didn’t feel like ‘the middle of nowhere’ but was away enough to feel like your own little world. The address is correct so trust your GPS or map app and you’ll get there easy. The only thing I didn’t like was the mattress in our room. Everything else was fantastic!
- Linda (8/5): A nice stop for those travelling with dogs - Rural and quiet
- Rachael (10/5): Part of a road trip ... good first night stop over - The whole experience and lo action. Owners fantastic Nothing
- Maurits (8/5): Perfect and very friendly! - Farm stay, beautiful and remote. Breakfast.
- Anita (8/5): Very good - Friendly hosts
Relaxed atmosphere
Cute dog
Enough single beds for 4 adult kids
Access to kitchen and dining room for self catering Bit cluttered around the pool table
- Mark (7/5): Lovely convenient and quiet - We arrived quite late and the owner was very helpful waiting for us and helping us when we got lost. Our first room had a broken a/c and it was 0° so we had to move rooms. The room description said “Budget Double Room
This double room's standout feature is the pool with a view. Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchenware in the fully equipped kitchen. The double room also features a barbecue. The double room offers air conditioning, a washing machine, a balcony with garden views as well as a private bathroom boasting a shower. The unit has 1 bed.” But our room didn’t have a stovetop, a dishwasher, a kitchen, or a washing machine.
- Frieda (7/5): Great value overnight stay. - Great value, easy to communicate with owners.

- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Superb - Peaceful NA
- Melissa (8/5): Nice location, good facilities, and comfy bed. -
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional - I always love staying here. This time, I brought my mum and her dog with me. I can wait until the family apartments are done. They look great already. Rodney and Tania are amazing. We're already talking about when out next visit will be. How could I possibly say anything negative about this place?
- Jennifer (10/5): Highly recommend the Art Shack but be sure to take food with you. - It was peaceful, clean, great comfy bed and had beautiful scenery and three adorable dogs. I saw the hist for a few minutes on arrival and she was lovely. Breakfast was included but consisted only if a small packet of cereal, tea and coffee bags. I did not know how remote the property was and there was no food, not even snacks, offered on arrival.
In the morning I did not see another person… the place was deserted.
- Bruno (8/5): Very good -
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional - Peace and quiet... in the middle of nowhere
- Stan (10/5): We were returning for the third time -do I need to say more??? A beautiful place run by a beautiful couple. Tanya and Ro - We were returning for the third time -do I need to say more??? A beautiful place run by a beautiful couple. Tanya and Rodney, take a bow!👍 Nothing
- Danny (8/5): Country break - Peace and quiet , very rural, the owner was very friendly, made us coffee, and upgraded us to the royal suite ha ha . Nothing except listed restaurant no restaurant

- Delma (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (9/5): casual and relaxing with country hospitality in a quiet rural setting - great country hospitality. An art centre that has art classes and exhibitions. Lovely country setting with hills and paddock of sunflowers as backdrop. Relaxing, and a pool, and very casual. nothing to dislike
- Delma (7/5): Good -
- Marina (10/5): A peaceful and friendly way to break up a long journey. - It was a beautiful, picturesque and quiet location to stopover while my 15 year old son, my dog, and I were on our way back home from a big road trip. Tania and Rodney are very friendly and welcoming hosts, we felt very lucky to have received last minute accomodation on a busy weekend. We will make this part of our road trip again next year. We look forward to all of the exciting plans Tania & Rodney have to make the place more sustainable and incorporating First Nations knowledge as well. Thank you.
- Jussi (10/5): Exceptional - Very relaxing and beautiful place. Tasteful pancakes and capuccinos. Very lovely host (and other people we met)!
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (7/5): Good value for money -
- Vicki (6/5): Pleasant - This was a very interesting place, basically a working farm and a place where people go for art lessons in the art shed, the couple running it are very friendly. The accommodation was a donger with I must say a very comfortable bed, air-conditioned and bathroom and fridge, any thing else you wanted you had to ask for, e.g coffee, milk, kettle etc Driving into the property was a little of putting as it didn't look like a place where there was accomadation, there is farm equipment and stuff everywhere, but they did say it was a working farm so fair enough.
- Paul (8/5): Excellent - I’ve already written a review.
- Helena (8/5): Lovely, friendly country hospitality. - The Art Shack is a cozy property off the beaten track.
- Nichole (10/5): We've stayed here 3 times in the last few months, its our new spot on our way though to visit family - Picturesque. Friendly, great areas for the children, cabins not on top of each other and friendly hosts.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robin (8/5): Great -
