• Scott (8/5): It was a good stay - We really liked that area, it was clean comfortable quiet and a short walk to shops and coffee. A short train ride to shibuya, shinjuku. we were able to cook our own breakfast. It is compact, but it suited our needs as we where sight seeing
• Gwenny (7/5): Great quiet location for long stays, but had some cleanliness issues this time. - Lovely apartment on a quiet side-street about 8 mins walk from Koenji JR station. The walk is great as you pass a shopping street with tons of late-night ramen spots and coffee shops. This is the east side of Koenji, so it is much quieter than the west side, which I prefer. You can even walk to Nakano Broadway in about 11 mins without needing the train. I also recommend using Luup e-bikes to get around the area quickly. I’ve stayed here 4-5 times for long trips, but I was disappointed that the bed wasn’t properly cleaned this time. I woke up itching with red spots, so there were definitely bedbugs. I resolved it myself by using spare linens and washing the dirty ones, but it was a letdown for my "go-to" spot. Also, I wish they provided basic cleaning tools like a small duster or broom. Using the AC daily for winter heating kicks up dust, and for long-term stays, it would be nice to be able to tidy up easily.

• Jack (9/5): A cosy apartment with every facility you could need for a few days - This apartment is absolutely perfect for travellers. The apartment is located in a lovely neighbourhood with a 7-Eleven round the corner and the nearest train station 10 minutes away. The apartment has great facilities, it has a washing machine with detergent provided so we could wash our clothes, iron and ironing board and shower products to use. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. We also asked for an early check in and they accommodated this by having our apartment ready hours early, thanks so much guys It would be good if there was some instructions provided for things like the washing machine and air con. We had to work these out ourselves

The door at the bedroom was very inconvenient. The pillows were rather uncomfortable, but that's just nit picking. As a 185cm tall broad shouldered man I struggled to shower comfortably.

• Mandy (8/5): Great stay in nice area - I really liked the area of the apartment. It was a very nice area of Tokyo that was a bit more quiet than the city centre. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood and also a few convenientstores. We found it really usefull that the apartment had a microwave and a fridge and also that we could use umbrella's. Train is within 10 min walking distance from the apartment. Also the bed was very comfortable and big enough for the two of us. For us it was perfect. Apartment was a bit smaller than we tought it would be, but for us that was ok.

• Jennifer (9/5): Superb - The location has easy access to JR train. We purchased 3 day Tokyo Wide Pass to day trip to nearby areas from Shinjuku station. Keon ji station is a few stops to Shinjuku, which is a bustling area in Tokyo. The apartment is very compact but with everything provided. The kitchen is equipped to cook a meal and the pots and pans are in good condition unlike I often find in other apartments with badly scratched non stick frying pans. We were able to cook some meals during our stay esp oats porridge for breakfast and topped up our vegetables intake which is hard to get when eating out. The host is very responsive to our requests and queries and we were able to check-in early at noon time as our flight arrived in the morning which we greatly appreciate. The large frying pan didn't work on the stove as the bottom is not flat for the stove to detect. But we are managed to use the small frying pan and the saucepan provided. I note plastic kettle is used commonly in Japan. It's actually unsafe for heating in high temperatures and other countries have already switched to metal kettle including the hotel I recently stayed in Xiamen, China. Suggest considering replacing with a metal kettle. There is no work top space at all to prepare cooking.
• Adéla (7/5): Great location, comfortable apartment - The location is amazing and the size of the apartment is great in comparison to other accommodations. I also appreciate the washing machine and kitchen equipment. The lack of cleaning equipment and mainly vacuum cleaner made our stay more difficult. I understand that in an apartment you cannot expect every other day cleaning of the room but in that case the vacuum cleaner and simple cleaning equipment should be provided. I don't think that it make sense for any tourist to buy it. Also, for our 9 nights stay we were left with one toilet paper and had to ask for additional, I would find it more pleasant if more pieces of toilet paper was provided in advance.
• Ikumi (8/5): A small studio in cosy Koenji - The location is fantastic - near Koenji station and everything you need within walking distance. It's a very functional apartment (although small) with a washing machine included which is good if you are staying for more than a couple of days. On the last day, the cleaner came at least an hour before the checkout time and we felt a bit rushed. Otherwise it was a good stay.

• Gwenny (9/5): Comfortable stay in the quiet, well accessible bohemian neighourhood of Koenji - 2nd stay in this Koenji apartment, excellent location, a full-on street a minute away that has all the restaurants, and local bars you need along with a coin laundry to use their massive dryer to speed-up drying your laundry. The apartment has a washer. So it's a good 1-2 combo. Koenji station is well accessible via the Chuo or Sobu lines that cut across to East Tokyo , but you can easily hop on the JR loop as a quick transfer too. Quiet bohemian neighbourhood, outside of the hustle & bustle of Shinjuku & Shibuya. The only thing i'd say is it might be nice to have a (small) broom or tiny vacuum cleaner for extended stays (10 days in my case for this trip, a little over 2,5 weeks several months ago) to hoover up dust that eventually accumulates. There is no room service, but the lower price correctly reflrects this. So if you're staying longer and want to refresh your linnen you will have to do it yourself, but there's an excellent 100yen coin laundry a min walk away for a giant washer/dryer that does it's job fast.

• Xt (9/5): Enjoyed it! Stay in Koenji. - Location was pretty good, 10min from the station and Koenji is near town and a very quiet area, very restful. Room had everything you’d need. Check in and out was very easy. Takes quite long to warm up, can be a little cold. Room and bed is definitely small but I think there was a good use of space. More pillows would be good.

• Desislava (7/5): Well equipped flat, overall good value for money - It’s in a quiet neighborhood so you can get a sense of how the locals live and it’s much cheaper than staying close to key tourist spots. We found it good value for money also because you get a well equipped flat. Having a washing machine was great as we were in week 1 of our two-week trip across Japan. Even though it’s a flat, it’s not spacious at all and feels very crammed. We stayed there for a week and we didn’t have our flat cleaned even once. And even if we wanted to clean it ourselves, there weren’t any cleaning products/appliances (like a vacuum cleaner or a mop).

• Michael (10/5): Nice place and great location - A nice little flat in an ideal location for walking access to the charming lanes of koenji. An easy and picturesque walk to the well-connected Kōenji Station. (2 stops to Shinjuku and fast trains to Tokyo station for the bullet train). Koenji is beautiful and has been spared from being flattened for skyscrapers. There are some but not many western tourists.
• Lannhi (7/5): Suitable but needs some small improvements - Very clean and new property. The area is quite quiet. The property has almost all the basics of what you need. The area is very nice and a close walk 10 min to the main area The property was fine for our needs but some things were needed to improve the property that I ended up buying myself from a 100 yen store that was nearby. - Pole for hanging clothes was missing - No mugs for tea/coffee - Nowhere to hang towels (bought some over the door hooks and I left them at property) - Nowhere to leave washed dishes (bought a drying mat) - Nothing to clean with (bought cleaning wipes and a little dustppan) The property is on the small side so avoid if you have a lot of luggage - anymore than one suitcase a person will probably be too much.

Once you find the location it’s a good idea to pin it in maps for easier searching - Clean, quiet location, secure, easy to contact manager (off-site). The space is very limited, even for an individual. No chairs so any dining must be done sitting on the bed or on the floor. An inconvenience but a small one. The location of the hotel was confusing to find on maps. There search results show multiple similar addresses.

• Yuriy (7/5): A small dark place with an uncomfortable smell - The owner communicates frequently and is genuinely interested in improving your stay experience. The place is in the quiet but trendy Koenji neighborhood, close to a convenience store and a 12-minute walk from the train station. The shower was not big, but the water pressure and temperature were good. The apartment that we booked was on the bottom floor, so the windows directly faced the walkway. For privacy, we closed those windows, and as a result, the place was quite dark. There was a strong smell of sewage in the kitchen, so we had to close the door to make sure that it did not get into the bedroom.
• Pardidi (7/5): Good stay in Koenji - The location and overall neighbourhood are fantastic - the station is only a 5-10 minute walk away . The building, as well as the flat itself and utilities such as shower and toilet, are modern and fairly new. The host, Johnny, was helpful and responsive, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Check in and check out were a piece of cake. There are a lot of nearby shops and restaurants/cafes which mean that you can opt to stay in the local area if you are a frequent visitor to Japan and won't need to visit the busier tourist areas a lot. While a washing machine is available at the property, this does not provide a dry function. However, a laundrette is available at the end of the street (2 min walk). Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. This feedback applies to flat 101. We stayed there for almost 1 month as a couple. It would have been nice if the flat was better equipped with cleaning tools (e.g., cleaning sprays, wipes, broom, or hand-held vacuum..) - especially for long stays such as ours but also as a standard feature of the flat. Admittedly, the flat is very tiny for two people. If you're very organised, you can make it work, but if you have multiple suitcases, it can be a bit of a stretch space-wise. During the cold weather, it's difficult to maintain a warm temperature, and the flat tends to get quite damp. I wouldn't recommend leaving anything to dry there and instead use the nearby laundrette. I would advise you to provide your own towels as the one provided were practical in a pinch but not great.

It was a nice, safe, and quiet neighborhood that was about a 10-minute walk from Koenji station. - The room was clean and looked like the pictures! - The check-in and check-out process was easy and smooth. - The staff was very friendly and quick to respond. When my partner and I wanted to leave our belonging before check-in time and after check-out time, they gave us clear and easy instructions on how to do so. - The shower was a bit narrow. Also, it would've been better if there was a shower/bath mat!

The rooms were small but new and functional, with a pole for drying clothes. Overall, everything was small and it was difficult to take off shoes at the entrance. There wasn't cup for hot drink.

• Babiano (9/5): Room with everything you need in a nice neighbourhood - The room was small but had all the amenities we needed. The check-in and check-out process were essy and convenient! The place is also near a lot of stores. You can get groceries and visit small restaurants. There are even nearby art galleries. A bit cramped but I thought it was better than other Tokyo apartments. It was a little far from the station but we enjoyed walking to the place as it's in a great neighborhood.

I asked the owner where it was, by the end of the day a new one was waiting at our door. Perfect for drying laundry. Although we didn’t meet the owners due to self check-in my experience was great. -Location is good, if you have an unlimited Tokyo subway pass its advisable to walk the other way to Nakano station instead of Koenji. A 20 minute walk instead of 9 to Koenji. Applicable to room 202: -Mugs are not there so its difficult to drink hot coffee in glassware -Everything is a bit small especially for tall people the shower was about 1,90m tall. -Body wash was waterered down.
• Asraf (8/5): Very good - I enjoy the quiet stroll walking to the premise. It provides serene ambience despite the busy town of Tokyo. Do not expect a huge room but a decent size max to 2 person. The place offers range of amenities ie: standing bath tub, microwave, fridge, washing machine, cooking hood, stove and television. The narrow staircase may limit your movement shall you bring big suitcases or luggages. I would not recommend if you plan to bring your kids.

The TV wasn’t connected to power and I would probably need to buy an extension cord to get it connected. The listing mentions a “desk.” There is no desk in this apartment (and there is no space for it). Minor suggestion: Perhaps instead of the very low round folding table it could be possible to provide a higher folding table (high enough to eat a meal) and a folding chair.

• Linda (10/5): Close to perfect stay! - It was modern and new, the washing machine was fantastic and one of the best showers we have ever used. We loved the area and would stay again. It was close to a perfect apartment, all it needed was a bath/foot mat, a tea towel for drying dishes and a small broom. Also would have been nice to have a sheet that fit the mattress better (it was short on one side), but all in all was great 👍
