Guest Reviews
- Manish Kumar (8/5): It was good. - Location and cleanness. Everything was just walking distance. Bathtub was very old and need renovation. Bedsheet and blanket cover provided was having bad smell. So I was very disappointed.

- Maira (8/5): Lovely house - Great location in a quiet residential area. But only minutes away from shops and bars (coffee shops in Italy). Lovely Venezian house, very comfortable.
Our host was so welcoming and friendly. Not really a complaint but there are no laundry facilities, and no working oven. We cooked breakfast on the stove though and there is a microwave.

- Heidi (7/5): The apartment was in a good location, close to things however difficult to find. - The apartment was very nice however it was very difficult to find, and the landlord got upset that we were late trying to find apartment There was no washer and dryer, and he left no amenities at all for the guests.
- Marcal (10/5): - Host was easy to reach and place was just lovely.

- Smith-Bingham (10/5): Brilliant - Great location, had all you needed and more. Very friendly owner. Whole process was very easy. Very little, lack of AC maybe, but I didn’t mind even in the middle of August.
- Mohamed (8/5): -
- kaushik (10/5): Awesome. Will book again - Everything. Good location. Was initially hard to find the property though. Property inside was great. Owner was super helpful and accommodating Nothing to mention

- Fernando (5/5): Overall good apartment, but the hosts attitude was appalling. - The apartment overall. The host's attitude when we had an inconvenient with the door was appalling (we were locked outside because the door was locked and we weren't able to open it, we were finally able to open it when we hit it). Basically, I called the host and the first thing I encountered was a language barrier (I speak Spanish and she speaks Italian). Nonetheless, I still try to communicate the problem we were facing. The response I get is that they have never had any problem with this door (which I later read that wasn't true). The worst part is that when I explain them my problem asking for help they tell me that they can't do anything to help me, and not to call them anymore since they were not going to do anything to fix said issue. I then wondered if we could contact anyone if we were found in the same situation again (since, at that moment we finally were able to open it), and they simply replied with a "no" and then proceeded to hang up the phone without further answer.
- Cveigele (7/5): Good -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (6/5): It was fine. - Location in Venice and roof top deck Having a hairdryer provided as with all our other stays in Italy could be great - there were none . Perhaps make the wifi code readily visible .
- Pavel (10/5): Exceptional - Super authentic interesting and confortable
- Kristy (7/5): Good -
- Timothy (9/5): Superb -
- Stefan (7/5): Nice rooftop terrace in the quiter part of Venice - This is an amazing attic apartment with a large enjoyable terrace with views of Venice in all directions. It is far enough from all the major tourist spots to be nice an quiet yet close to everything like restaurants, bars and shops. Very close to S. Stae vaporetto station, 5 min to Rialto and many supermarkets close by. The apartment is clean, spacious, with plenty of hot water and all necessary things. Lots of books and interesting decorations, although the marionettes are slightly creepy, especially in the middle of the night when you go to the bathroom. The host. No communication except via this site. A reply to an urgent question can take days and no clear answer provided when asked. Help is not offered readily nor is any information or direction. I discovered everything I needed on my own. The last day I was given a list of rules which was too late for me to fulfill. However, to be fair, the history was flexible with the way I paid tourist tax. Another thing is that every morning the door bell rings asking for someone to be let in. This was frustrating when I needed a sleep in.
- Raffaele (9/5): Superb - Full flat and facilities at our disposal.
Nice location, within 5-10 min walk from Rialto
- Manuel (9/5): Superb - Nice place and friendly and helpful owner Needs more light in the lower floor
- Glaiza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mantas (10/5): A perfect apartment for those with strong legs. - A truly beautiful apartment with a very artistic and romantic atmosphere.
The terrace on the roof delighted with wonderful views.
The bookshelf was filled with art albums.
Plenty of toiletries. Many different blankets, so it wasn’t cold to sleep, even though the apartment was quite cool and damp (we visited in October). There was no electric kettle, so we had to boil water for tea in a pot on the gas stove. We got the general impression that Italians generally ignore tea and only drink coffee :-)
The host wasn't very "interactive"—most of the communication was unidirectional, consisting of instructions on how to access the premises, how to pay the city tax, requests for document copies, and reminders not to leave trash or unwashed dishes (which felt a bit insulting, but perhaps this was due to negative experiences with previous guests). Meanwhile, our messages through the Booking.com account went unanswered (for example, we asked about a hairdryer; there wasn't one, even though it was listed in the description).
- Shirley (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this apartment. Comfortable and close to boat taxi. No way to make coffee.
- Gianfrancesco (7/5): Good - Mosquitoes
- Graham (8/5): Very good - Linen wasn't fresh and clean, it smelt. Owner very grumpy on arrival when we were trying to find our way. Not easy to find. It should also say that there are a lot of stairs go climb and in summer when it is very hot, there is only a fan.
- Cristi (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, great host. Could be cleaner. Too hot in the room even if with fan in the room.
- Falcon (10/5): Genuine lovely flat not flashy. - Wonderful apartment with fabulous terrace Didn’t need a/c as breeze on the 4th floor was fine. Nothing
- Sekandar (8/5): Good location, good property, less c
omfort - Location was fantastic, property was large and clean. Host was prompt in responding. No Air Conditioner, lot of mosquitoes.
Be aware of extra fees for late check-in.
Host is strict in applying rules than guest's comforts. .
- Dóra (2/5): The only advantage is that it was close to the center. Anyway, I do not recommend this accommodation - It was close to the center. Everything in the accommodation was dirty, they hadn't been able to clean it for months.Rashes appeared on us.I don't know when they last aired it. All surfaces are stuck.
- Marta (8/5): Very good choice if you want to spend time in Venice away from a crowded center. - The location of the apartment was perfect. San Polo isn't very crowded compared to San Marco, so staying there was the best choice. Enrico is very kind and explains everything after arriving. The apartment is spacious and has big windows from which you can see one of the canals. Cabinets and drawers in the bathroom and kitchen should be cleaned up because you can find some used stuff after previous guests.
- Puneet (1/5): No privacy - The person-in-charge/owner of this place is very rude and arrogant. He lives just above the apartment and is always lingering about to poke his nose in what you are doing. There is literally no privacy. May be he cares too much for his apartment that he shouldn’t put it out to rent.
- Claudia (10/5): Great location, great for families. - The location was great Great facilities
- Silvana (9/5): Wonderful apartment in the center of venice. - Apartment was very spacious and the location was fantastic. The host was very helpful. Nothing to note.
- Kathleen (9/5): Comfort and charm in Venice - The location was fantastic. The period property was authentic and most charming. The views are sensational too. The stairs lol. Four flights with suitcases was hard work. Not wheelchair accessible
- Denis (9/5): Very spacious house in a quite location, not far from some main traveler attractions. - A bit hard to find because Venice is like a labyrinth sometimes, but location is very good. Very spacious. Comfortable beds. Good host. That's probably normal for Venice but it smells a bit of mold. Bathroom is ok but could get a bit of renovation. You might get some mosquitoes bites, so try to protect yourself by using some protection (host will probably offer it to you).
- Melany (9/5): Superb - location was near everything. It was complicated to get to the locations with luggage
- Kimmo (9/5): Superb -
- Deckro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pedro (9/5): Superb -
- Laura (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (8/5): Great location, easy access, spacious and quiet with canal views - Great location, spacious quiet and good value for money. Easy check in and check out. Could have.been a little cleaner and better linen and towels etc.
- Cam (10/5): Exceptional - The place was on a little canal and had walking distance to many convenient locations. The gentleman who helped us check in was fantastic. Nothing, it was great.
- Elizaveta (9/5): A big apartment with a pretty view - The location is really nice - close to many city attractions and restaurants. Some windows face a canal, and the view is really pretty. The apartment is really big. The host is extremely helpful and responsive. There were plenty of dishes, a fridge and a stove in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the washing machine was not working and the furniture is a bit old
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Alessia (8/5): Great location, comfortable stay., helpful host. - Welcoming host, fantastic location. Nothing
- Anonymous (8/5): Great location and host, bit too hot for our cold weather (Canadian bodies) at night. - Location is great, right on a canal, near restaurants, cafes and water bus station. Property was quite hot even though it was not very hot outside (24-26 Celsius), would be great if it had air conditioning so that windows could stay closed and mosquitoes kept outside.
- Abdulhadi (3/5): Bad handling - Big a place there is no air conditioning
Insects alot
- Kyuhyeok (8/5): Very good -
- Tomomi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (3/5): Aggressive host - The property was ok although as turned out quite vertical ie many levels and stairs, so not ideal for a group in their 70s who came to stay. The host - he was plain aggressive. One would’ve thought that, being also elderly, he’d understand the visitors’ point of view. My mum was travelling with her girlfriends all in their 70s and had trouble getting around Venice and finding the accommodation on day 1. And they don’t move very fast either. The host kept messaging, calling and harassing me as I was giving them remotely directions, trying to rush us. His tone and content was very inappropriate. He obviously has no idea about customer service. He made us all feel incredibly uncomfortable and spoilt something that could’ve been a really pleasant stay otherwise.
- Jessica (1/5): Bad -
- Lina (9/5): excellent - excellent location, beautiful terrace how to unlock the doors were an issue for the first night. had to watch a yt tutorial how are u supposed to turn the knob etc. overalll wonderful
- Jake (7/5): Good - No breakfast Too many stairs
- Ege (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (4/5): The host and location were great, but the bathroom and facilities poor. . - Host was communicative and helpful giving suggestions for dinner. Location was great and area was quiet. Right along a canal with view of the canal outside the sitting room with windows. The property itself was spacious. Cleanliness of bathroom was not good. It smelled strongly of urine and the bath mat/rug looked really worn and dirty. The shower head was so full of limescale that it only dripped instead of sprayed. Bedding was really old and could use a refresh. The furnishings were tired and very random leaving it feeling un-cozy.
- Anonymous (6/5): might have been better with more people. not enough sitting space in the living area. didn’t see the point of couches in - furnishings were interesting. bed was relatively comfortable. kitchen was well furnished. some of the windows didn’t open. found it claustrophobic. gloomy. no bedside table or lamp. kept smashing my foot on the bed post that stuck out trying to get to the light at night.
- Stefan (10/5): Spacious apartment away from noise and crowds, but close to center. - The location is great, nice and quite. The apartment looks great.
- Curry (6/5): Fine. - Good flat with a nice terrace and well kept. Clean and with everything you need. Information about how to get in is lacking, as shown in so many previous comments. Please copy this for the next guest if you visit: Once you get the key from the locker, go inside to the 3rd floor. Here, facing a large wooden door, don't try open this one - aim instead to open the tiny door on your left, that leads to the 4th floor, and then the flat is the one on the top right called "locazione turistica".
There is no queen bed but an open sofa in one room, and the other room has twin beds. The mattresses are not that great. What also could be added is a "how to" manual to use the house, it might not be obvious to most.
- Daria (10/5): A bit tricky to find :) but the host was very helpful even at 23.20 - This is very authentic place! Real venician flat with beautiful terrace, ancient furniture, very well situated.
Fully equipped: kitchen, laundry machine, perfect douche.
Didńt want to leave! Nothing
- Sergei (8/5): Very good - Huge aparts in the very heart of Venice. Just some steps from S.Stae vapouretto station. Close to absolutely everything. Rooms are really huge - dont't think it is possible to find another the same in Venice. Kitchen with everything needed, bathroom ok. It worths the money we paid.
- Amanda (7/5): Good - The location is great, the owner was really nice and the apartament is big. I can recommend the place The towels are old and smell (they should be replace). The price is high enough to get some decent towels and take care of cleanliness
- Travelerone (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Beautiful apartment with everything you need. Short distance to evrrything.
The rooftop is a great place
- Marianna (10/5): Great place, location and host - Great locatio and quiet at noght. The host is great, helped us with directions. The place is very cozy and comfortable. N/A
- Gernot (9/5): Ideal for a couple or family with kids, quite yet perfectly located. - Three good reasons to choose this private appartement:
- It is located in a quite area offside the tourist's mainstream, yet only 5 minutes walking distance from San Stae Vaporetto Station on Canale Grande and 3 minutes from the "strada turistica" close to Rialto bridge. The access point is the church of San Canziano, with a nice little coffee shop on the court in front of the church. Get off the main path to the north, cross right hand the little bridge to the narrow "Calle di Morti", then to the right on "Calle Regina", second street to the left. Google maps recommended.
- It is a spacious "renovated loft a la Veneziana" on three levels in a traditional little building, at one side above a charming little canaletto looking at the fassade of an old palazzo, on the other side a little ancient church and garden.
-The apparterment is quite "nostalgic" yet clean and cosy. The kitchen we did not use, it is very basic, but refrigerator works fine. Better infornation how to find the locating was missing.
The beds coud be more comfortable.
- Tillotson (10/5): Exceptional - Loved staying here! Beautiful place in fabulous location. Has a a sort of creative worldly vibe with antique furniture, elaborate library, art and Indonesian puppets around the place. I found it really quirky and inspiring. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.
- Giorgio (9/5): Great Location, comfortable stay - The place is very well located, not far from a ferry stop, although not too close (this is Venezia). Lot of space Kitchen/living room at the ground floor, livingroom/double bed at first floor, a single bed at the last floor. Basic but comfortable. Lack of A/C and of mosquito nets (there's enough air passing trough the windows, but mosquitos come too). I would not suggest it to disabled people.
