Harbour views. Apartment lacked cleanliness around the edges - bottom of shower, washing machine & fridge and bathroom exhaust fan. Lack of hanging space in wardrobe; majority of room taken by host's private cupboard. Lack of storage in bathroom; toiletries need to be left on floor. Only one thin hand towel provided for two people for a one week stay. White shower mat dirty/grubby. Fan & aircon in bedroom noisy or not operating fully. Only one power point to service both toaster & kettle. Washing machine leaking.

• Philippa (5/5): Not worth the money.book through mantra - Location in the city The whole process of the a4 tag in your car is crazy annoying when checking in and leaving. Room had mould on the bedroom walls There was a cockroach in the fridge The bed was sooo uncomfortable Was not worth the money, just hire a room through the hotel.
• Fitzgerald (5/5): Very average and run down - The location was really good, handy to everything The kitchenette, dining and living area is nice and large enough for two people. Although partially blocked by buildings, the view is nice, but the owner could replace the shabby table and chairs Don’t approach the actual receptionist of the Mantra Pandanus about anything or direction as they are rude. In fact, we found people were rude in Darwin and not at all friendly. The unit is very old, shabby and run down. No cupboard space to hang clothes in the pokey bedroom, as someone has put a large cupboard in the only one closet in the bedroom. TV on a stand awkwardly placed in the corner of the bedroom. The pillows on the bed are old and flat and should have been thrown away. The air conditioner in the bedroom is really old and very noisy. The bathroom is very pokey and small with nowhere for two people to put their toiletries, and besides sink, shower and toilet, they have also placed a washing machine and dryer.

• Joanne (8/5): This is a great place to stay if you come to Darwin! - This apartment is spacious and lovely with a gorgeous view of the harbour. The location is very convenient and close to everything in town. It was a nice place for me to stay to attend to business and meet up with friends and family in town,

• Carly (5/5): Clunky process, only average, disappointed overall in value for money. - Location was good for walking to nearby shopping precinct etc. Everything felt clunky, you have to try and park on the busy main street to get inside to find a lock box for keys, you then have to get back to your car, drive a street away for the car park entrance, get to your room, go back to your car to put a parking permit inside, then do everything in reverse when you leave. It would be easier (and cheaper) to just book directly with Mantra and do their check in/check out process which is a bit easier, the room is nothing special compared to the Mantra hotel apartments, you use the same guest parking, elevators, it’s in the same guest area etc. I felt the property was oversold on booking.com and was not as good as I was expecting, I thought it would be a private apartment and not basically the same thing as the Mantra apartments if you book directly with them. I don’t feel it was actually very clear that it was in a hotel, I was expecting an apartment complex. ‘Harbour views’ is a stretch. There were a couple of cockroaches found in the room. The hot water barely lasted a couple of minutes and went cold which was extremely disappointing as we booked this after a trip through the outback and we splurged a bit thinking we were booking something really nice to clean up and relax but cold showers are not relaxing at all.

• Julie (9/5): Good spot for a short trip away. - Good location in the CBD. Apartment was spacious, clean & comfy. Host was accommodating when we asked for a later checkout. Pool was popular. I didn't find the hairdryer until we were leaving, as it was in the wardrobe!! The pool was a little difficult to get into and out of, especially for older people. A simple handrail for people to hold onto would fix the problem.
