Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): Absolutely charming - A beautiful tiny house. Indeed tiny, but so very cute and cosy and comes equipped with everything you need. Spotlessly clean and modern. Lovely touches such as wine and chips provided by the hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
- Carla (10/5): - We love it. We loved seeing the stars from bed then the lake during the morning. It was really clean. They had a bottle of wine and chips on arrival. Nothing
- Lewis (10/5): -
- Payne (10/5): Great tiny house in a nice location. We enjoyed our short stay! - Lovely this quirky little tiny house in Mallacoota. Well presented, clean and comfortable at a very affordable price. Well presented and we loved seeing the kangaroos and wallabies foraging around the property and the water views. We enjoyed the red wine provided too, which was a nice surprise. Nothing.
- Ben (10/5): Amazing stay! - This is an incredibly cosy and cute cabin. Nothing
- Seth (10/5): - Such a good use of such a small space! No complaints!
- Daniel (10/5): - Absolutely loved this little house! It was truly a delight and will definitely stay if we're ever coming through again
- Anthony (7/5): - Clean inside Toilet cubicle was too small, too short no room to bend
Outside of tiny house needs a spruce up
- Melinda (10/5): Beautiful, fun place to stay. Mallacoota didn’t disappoint - I LOVED everything about this accommodation. The views, the facilities, the location, the wildlife, the way check in. Didn’t stay long enough😉
- Michael (10/5): Great stay in a sizeable tiny house with a view! - Great size with all amenities including small balcony on top area and BBQ on lower deck.
Hosts even provided a bottle of wine & crisps!
- Mike (9/5): Well priced and located accommodation for a couple in Mallacoota. - Surprisingly room tiny home, located on a elevated block of land with a view, with plenty of room. Kitchen was well equipped and almost full size. I am 182 cm and found the toilet very tight. Everything else was roomy enough.
- Irene Steenfeldt (8/5): -
- Patrick (6/5): - Locations advertised It was as advertised. A tiny house.
- Chiara (10/5): Amazing - Amazing place. We enjoyed our stay in this tiny house. Everything was perfect very clean and tidy. A lot of kangaroos came in the early morning and late afternoon
- Bronwyn (9/5): - The quaintness of the property. The toilet was too big for the space.
- tory (10/5): Fun, unique experience in a lovely environ - Clean, cosy, had everything we needed for a short stay.. lovely surroundings
- Stephen (10/5): - Unbelievable views and awesome location. Not really suitable for guests over 6 feet tall. This did not apply to us.
- Nadia (9/5): Amazing tiny home and would definitely stay again - I’ve never stayed in a tiny home and I loved this place! As it was summer and a hot day, the hosts had turned on the air con which was a very welcome surprise (I am a person who loves cold rooms).
The location is not in the heart of Mallacoota which is great, the neighbours are very quiet and there was a small welcoming party (kangaroos) on arrival. Only a short drive into town. Easy location to do a walk and around the bay.
The kitchen facilities are fantastic and a great size.
Off the bedroom is a small balcony which is where I sat to eat my dinner (do recommend the fish & chips in town) - was perfect overlooking across the water. Whilst this wasn’t an issue for me (as I’m a shorty at 164cm), if you are a taller person, you would struggle in the toilet and would need to bend in the shower. Yes I know it’s a tiny home, just something to be aware of. As I say, because I’m a shorty, it was perfect for me. The rest of the home has fantastic space and height.
- Adam (10/5): Incredibly comfortable and relaxing, everything we needed. - The best tiny house we’ve stayed in to date! We had a fantastic time at Ocean Breeze, the house itself has everything you might need. We didn’t leave the property a whole lot due to the weather during our stay but still had a fantastic time hanging out at the house! Thanks so much for hosting us :)
- Nicolas (10/5): - We had a very nice stay in the tiny house. The check in was easy and uncomplicated and the house is lovely. Kangaroos were our neighbours.
- April (10/5): -
- Nejdet (8/5): - It was a new experience. Never before had I been in a tiny house. Clean and tidy. Toilet especially tight to use. Otherwise the TV and wifi perfect.
- Pete (9/5): Lovely brief stay in a tiny home. Had everything needed and was very comfortable. Give it a try! - Compact, clean and all we needed.
- Mathias (9/5): Immer wieder gerne! - Sehr schön gelegenes Tiny House - ein super Ort für Erholung!
Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet (alles was man braucht).
Wir hatten regelmäßig Besuch von Kangurus :)
- Fran (8/5): Fantastic place - Great location, quiet, relaxing, peaceful Toilet was a tight fit. Hair dryer missing
- Molly (10/5): Amazing stay! Brilliant hosts ! - We loved how secluded the property was. The wildlife around the house was lovely. Loved the touch of wine and crisps ! The views are lovely. We enjoyed the ice machine too. Everything was really good.
- Grace (10/5): - so cute!! absolutely loved staying here, clean and comfy. would love to return!
- maife2886 (10/5): - Everything!!! The place is immaculately clean. It's a tiny house with absolutely everything we needed.
I read the reviews just before arriving and it's clear that the owners look into every detail. Old reviews suggest adding a few things and I want to confirm that I was there on Christmas Day 2025 and there are blinds for privacy, fly screens on the windows, a small dust brush, stovetop, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee, tea, crockery, cutlery. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Towels, body and hands soap.
The wine bottle and snacks are a great touch and welcoming.
Yes, it is tiny but it is the real smart home, with every single functional detail. There's a tiny wardrobe to hang clothes, hooks for towels and jackets, power outlets everywhere! And even board games.
The windows are extremely well positioned with stunning views!
We would have liked to have more time to enjoy the place and surroundings. Nothing. I liked everything.
It would've been nice to have shampoo and conditioner 😂...but I had them in my bag!
- grant (10/5): -
- Greg (8/5): -
- Janet (9/5): We enjoyed our stay but maybe best for young people. Loved the situation. - Beautiful views peace and quiet. Lovely kitchen Ground floor layout difficult to navigate and could have been more comfortable with a full couch of cushions and not such a large step up to the kitchen
- Katerina (10/5): - We loved our getaway here! Was just perfect for relaxing on our 10th wedding anniversary. The views were stunning and we loved listening to the birds and watching the wildlife and stunning river views. It was raining nearly the entire weekend and cold outside but the tiny home was beautifully heated and it was lovely to watch the rain clouds roll in off the surrounding mountains and watching it come across the lake. We also loved the extra touch of having a bottle of wine, a pack of chips, and the milk there all handy ready. As others have mentioned in other reviews the toilet and shower is tiny (my tall husband had "fun" trying to work out how to toilet and shower) but we went in there expecting that - it's a tiny home and it made for some fun navigating the toilet small space. Would absolutely recommend here! We loved our stay and came back home feeling relaxed and refreshed
- Pauline (10/5): - Great location
- Julie (10/5): Our tiny house experience we didn’t know we’d love 💕 - Our first time in a tiny house and my 6’3 husband and I still had a comfy nights sleep, super important on a road trip. We enjoyed the experience and the location, in the woods but with spectacular views. There were loads of bird and wildlife to watch, and around sunset we got to hear a Kaola. With windows in exactly the right spots to view from the Tiny house, the quiet wildlife came right up close.
Although there were homes nearby, we really felt like we had the whole neighbourhood to ourselves. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay and grateful to have had it recommended to us.
- Hbmanio (10/5): Cozy tiny home - Such a cute, tidy space and we had everything we needed.
- Rigby (10/5): A perfect stay in a beautiful location. - We have never stayed anywhere like this before. It was a stunning little property in a beautiful location. Compact and bijoux we couldn't fault it. There was absolutely nothing that could have been better. The little touches like the milk ready for us and a bottle of wine were very much appreciated.
- David (8/5): Cute and good for a one nights stay - Very compact and ideal for a 1 night stopover Bed was challenging up some step stairs and only accessible from one side. Also the toilet space is very small… not a place for tall people 😂
- Chatrina (10/5): Perfect little space with an amazing view. - Everything in a tiny space. Such an amazing view and a garden full of wildlife in the evening. Lovely touch to have a bottle of wine and crisps waiting for me too. Loved the little balcony too. Nothing
- Emma (10/5): -
- Katherine (10/5): - The tiny house was well fitted out. The view was lovely, even had a visit from some kangaroos.
- Sam (10/5): Great for a little getaway - Beautiful quiet location Toilet was quite snug
- Elliott (10/5): -
- Jo (10/5): -
- Rhonda (8/5): Mostly enjoyed except for having to shoo mozzies out till all hours. The house is really cute has a great view and all t - Location
Cuteness
Host gave a bottle of vino No flyscreen on bedroom or main door - so many mozzies!
The mattress was not robust enough, I could feel the wooden base through my hip so my back hurt all night.
The toilet room was beyond snug 😮
- Emma (10/5): Perfectly peaceful place to stay , everything you could need . Mallacoota a beautiful unspoilt spot - Everything you could possibly need was supplied, very well thought out with actually quite a bit of space for a tiny house.
The top balcony was a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the view, and watch the kangaroos.
Beautifully peaceful and a real novelty for my 5 year old daughter to stay in a ‘cubby’ house.
Definitely would stay here again, sadly we only had 1 night here.
- Stuart (8/5): - Nice and quiet. Loads of local wildlife good facilities Tall guy in a tiny house challenges. Shower and toilet. But manageable
- Michael (9/5): Great Location with sensational views - We loved the location, feel and absolute cuteness of the house - it made us feel happy and smile! There was nothing not to like.
- Jenna (10/5): - Loved the outlook and the very helpful hosts. Also the little balcony. Nice and clean too. And thank you for the wine and chips.
- Olivia (7/5): -
- Teresa (7/5): One night was lovely. - It’s a cute cosy tiny midget home, clean has everything, the view is magnificent. The wildlife is relaxing. It’s a nice little wee home. The windows from toilet should have a curtain and outside the bathroom, window needs a curtain too. My husbands tall so he hit the ceiling a lot. Quite funny actually. The toilet is perfect for the little people. If you’re tall , carry some weight and have knee or back problems this isn’t for you.
- Ann (9/5): Loved our stay.Wish we could have stayed longer - Very unique, exceptionally clean, well appointed. Loved the town of Mallacoota , a very pleasant suprise when we got there. Nothing
- David (10/5): Quiet, comfortable stay in a great location. - Quaint, well-appointed, and a great, quiet location, with stunning views over Lake Mallacoota. Although classed as a "Tiny House" we lacked for nothing there. We would have liked another night there if we had the time available to us. We would definitely go back there. Value for money. Nothing comes to mind.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mara (10/5): Lovely little place and definitely would come back again! - I felt like a kid in a cubby house. It definitely is a tiny home and I loved it! The location was lovely as was the view. Toilet a bit too tight. ;)
- Joyce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Holmes (7/5): Good - The location was beautiful.
- Atzmon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Schuman (8/5): Beautiful location. - easy to find and get keys.
Clear instructions given.
Excellent appointed kitchen.
Location is perfect. Cover for window near bathroom would help with limited space for showering.
Toilet is small so if tall not the place for you.
- Rosie (10/5): Comfortable tiny home with a great view! Also set back from road so feels private. Thank you!! -
- Daniel (10/5): Excellent stay, thanks very much for the lovely stay. -
- Glenn (9/5): Superb -
- Hanqing (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (10/5): Great place to stay. Cost and comfortable - Cute tiny house with the best view (despite the rain). Had everything I needed. Very comfortable and warm. There is a great walking/cycling track along the foreshore to the town with amazing views Arriving in heavy rain and at dusk I had a little troubling finding it. A number on the driveway would be great.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- A (7/5): Good - Nice view It really is small and a bit awkward with movement needed.
- Janethleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ron (9/5): Superb - Very cute , compact and has clever use of space. Nice little veranda if the weather is fine & a BBQ. Big block with kangaroos and 2 lyre birds. Fabulous view. The weather.
- Terry (10/5): Big comfort in a tiny space! - Such a cute little place that had everything we needed. We hadn’t stayed in a tiny house before so we loved the experience. Bed surprisingly comfortable and cosy.
- Terence (8/5): Very good -
- Sher (8/5): Very good - Amazing small tiny house at beautiful location As it said tiny house, for tall ppl can be little tricky lol! Toilet was hitting my knees, but not complaining it was nice place
- Diana (7/5): Good -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jean (8/5): Very good -
- Ashok (10/5): Perfect - We loved the tiny house! We’d always wanted to stay in one and this one was perfect. Everything we needed was provided. We especially loved the wallabies that were hopping around the windows in the morning!
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Good location very quiet, N/A
- Cami (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Intimate getaway for a couple, we had a wonderful time. - Key was in a lock box that was easy to access. The view was amazing. Ocean Breeze Tiny House is the perfect romantic getaway for a couple. We saw some amazing wildlife including a koala and a pair of lyrebirds. The TV could be better placed as you can only watch it from the loft but overall, a wonderful experience. The shower had great hot water & water pressure. We used the BBQ and the kitchen facilities, and they both worked very well. TV was hard to watch from anywhere but the loft. Maybe a small broom to help clean up before you leave.
- Tracey (10/5): Perfect stay for a couple, had everything you need, perfect! -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely accommodation, small but very comfortable. Great stargazing spot! And an early morning kangaroo visit. Didn’t want to leave! Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Lynn-li (10/5): Unique tiny house with wildlife visitors - This is an awesome and cute tiny house! As a solo traveller, it’s spacious and had everything I needed. Loved the little balcony upstairs, the comfy bed, well-equiped kitchenette with a microwave, stovetop, oven and big fridge.
The shower cubicle had enough height for me (I’m 165cm tall) and the toilet cubicle was a little tight but could still fit. If you’re a supermodel though, it might be a little spatially-challenged but still worth the experience!
Instructions from the host were also very clear and easy to follow.
The highlight was the wildlife that loitered around the house - had a kangaroo, wallaby and even a lyrebird! There was no covering for the window where the bar table was, which is just opposite the bathroom. Not sure how much a person or kangaroo could see in from the outside but blinds would’ve added a little sense of privacy ;)
- (prof) (7/5): Good - Lovely area, birds and wildlife. Well stocked Coffee plunger or some other way to make coffee (other than instant)would be good. Toilet room very snug!
- Nancy (10/5): Book this place today! Its great - Hello tiny home. This was our first tiny home experience and we nailed it. The lake view was fabulous. We were joined by a family of kangaroos for happy hour. After a 3 minute drive to the water there is a beautiful, long as you want, trail for walking or biking. Understand a tiny house means one person in the kitchen, bathroom and being woke up for midnight bathroom breaks.
- Pranee (9/5): I enjoyed spending me time there. - Very good with privacy and out of busy part of Mallacoota. Property offer anything you need in self-contained unit. Owner very helpful and if you need help. Just a simple text away. Just cautious about concept of tiny living. If you aren’t physically able to move up and down. Stay away from booking this place. Can be difficult.
- Jane (5/5): An interesting experience in a tiny house! - It was very clean inside and nicely fitted out Not enough was made of the outside space. Th bbq was really dirty and for such a magnificent setting, the outside facilities and setup was uncomfortable and disappointing
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - This Tiny apartment was perfect for us to have a night away! Had everything we needed and was affordable! It was great to see all the upgrades and updates that reflect the previous reviews! Great job! We really loved our stay here and how easy the communication was.
- Diana (9/5): Loved it! - Absolutely awesome tiny house.
And even though it is tiny, it has got everything you might need and more.
We've had several visits from kangaroos and the view is amazing.
If you love peace and quiet and stays in unique one of a kind places.... Book this tiny house!
- Guido (8/5): Nice place - Comfortabel tiny house at 5 km from the town center. The view on the lake is great. We saw a family of kangoroo grazing nearby :-) We had to search some time to find the house.. There is no sign, not even a housenumber indicated on the street. The place is at the end of an open lot. Its 5 km to town so you need a car.
- Trish (9/5): Superb -
- Sebastiaan (10/5): Great stay - Great location and super quiet, mind the wildlife 😄 friendly support from the location managers, even if you do not understand a lockbox. Short tip when you put in the provide key, flip down the block lever to open the box.
- David (3/5): Poor -
- Wendy (7/5): Come for the view - View was lovely, and the hosts were very helpful. Being able to sleep with the loft door open was a real treat. Perfect spot for star gazing. A lyrebird was seen running across the back paddock, and kangaroos would come in at dusk. Toilet is tiny (it is a tiny house though), bed wasn't as soft we would like and the hot water in the shower was a bit hit n miss. None of these though were deal breakers. The view makes up for any short comings.
- Tonya (8/5): Very good - Tiny house was a unique place to stay.
- Mik (2/5): Very poor -
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Great little spot to stay, easy walking to water or short drive to town. Like staying in a treehouse for the night!
- Gemmill (8/5): Very good -
