• Shane (10/5): Perfect and Comfortable Stay plus Great Communication - My experience was very great and fantastic. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The property uses a secure code for entry (which I prefer over keys), and everything worked fine. The basement unit was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The suite was very clean, quiet and I slept well throughout the night. The mattress was very comfortable The host was responsive, respectful, and professional throughout. As for parking, it is on the street, which was clearly stated in the listing. I had no issues finding a spot during my stay because there are plenty spots to park. It’s a residential area. I felt safe, had a smooth stay, and would book again when back in Edmonton. Everything was good for me and my family
• Zaidoon (1/5): Very Bad - Nothing This is the first time I have ever faced such a harsh experience. It turned my trip to Edmonton into a difficult and stressful ordeal. The host requested an extra security deposit for any potential damages, before receiving the check-in instructions. I noted a long list of rules and prohibitions. These did not align with my expectations for the privacy and comfort a guest is typically afforded. -path to the house is long and inconvenient. -The hosts themselves have no sense of customer service; they couldn't even say "Hi." if seeing you. -There was no key to open the door, there was a code and it didn't work when I arrived. -outside door was locked with a very difficult and high lock that a person would have to be tall enough to open. -The basement was so damp that I couldn't get a good night's sleep. -Stairs leading down to the basement are very steep and dangerous, especially for the elderly and children. -On top of that, there was a lot of noise early in the morning. hosts seemed to be completely unconcerned that they had a guest who needed to rest. -"free parking" advertised in the listing is a complete lie. The real parking is on a dark street, and even after parking there on the first day, I got that the neighbors were not happy with strange cars parked in front of their homes. On the second night, after a long and exhausting day at work, it was raining heavily, I couldn't find a parking spot on the street. I asked the host if I could park in front of their garage. They refused me harshly and write to me in a very impolite manner. At that moment, I decided to leave the property immediately, I did not feel safe, neither for myself nor for the my rental car. My advice to anyone thinking about booking this basement is to avoid this trap. It's far better to pay a bit more and stay at a proper hotel. these hosts lack the basic customer service skills and respect needed to accommodate guests.

Lots of storage, separate entry, quiet neighborhood There were no linens for the sofa bed or extra blankets, laundry not accessible due to locked door blocking dryer door. no dishwasher, not ground floor so not very accessible for my mother. Some of the dishes were dirty on arrival
