Guest Reviews
- tudela (10/5): Típico hogar japonés en Osaka - Era típico japonés y muy hogareño . Tenía todo lo q necesitábamos Estaba todo muy bien

- Krzysztof (9/5): Nice house - will visit
again - I love old Japanese houses, so this one is naturally my first choice.
We booked for 2 people and with the whole house at our disposal, space is abundant.
Close proximity to the local park and a 5 to 10 minute walk from the local train station is a good one
Comfortable bed - I will gladly book again. Osaka in September was hot. So the air conditioning during the whole night was a must (and the one in the bedroom was a bit on the louder side)
- Angelica (4/5): I recommend you booking a hotel instead. - It was a nice location. This is a 2-story house with an extremely steep incline. There was only 1 usable pan to cook with. The 2nd pan had the Teflon scratching off. The house needed a deep cleaning. Microwave, walls, couch all had small stains. The pictures that are posted are not updated. I added a few. It would have been nice to have a clean bar of soap and dish sponge. Little things like that make a difference. Towels and blankets were also very old and used looking. Staring at a hotel would have been better. Luckily it was only 2 nights.
- Mark (8/5): We love this spot and the hospitality of the host, highly recommended! - We really like the patina of a traditional Japanese home. The location is also superb, if you are looking for q quiet suburban spot. It’s all very basic and that’s fine. A little bit more cookware would have been nice, but to us it’s all sufficient.
- Bowe (5/5): Passable - Spaciousness location to training, seven11 It was shabby. WiFi was slow and frequently lost connection
- Fen (8/5): Very good -
- Kain (10/5): excellent host! - everything nothing
- Paula (9/5): Family of 5 loved it. Spent 3 nights. Would stay again. - Nice to be in a traditional home. Great place to spread out. Close to transport. Great place. Main bed - would be nice to have a little top cushion. Would be nice to have basics like oil for cooking.
- Natasha (3/5): Needs to be renovated - Spacious bedrooms, good laundry facilities There were no photos of the bathroom or kitchen with the listing and when we arrived, we realized why — black mold in the very outdated shower and a kitchen that felt dirty and old.
The tatami mats/futons for our kids were extremely thin and felt like sleeping on the hard floor — unlike all of the other tatami mats we’ve slept on in Japan. The bed was an extremely old spring mattress and we could feel the springs in our back the entire night.
The stairs are extremely steep — which is common in Japan - but the half platform at the top (in between the two bedrooms) is a recipe for death. If you accidentally step the wrong way as you travel from one room to the next, you’re sure to go tumbling down. We were worried for ourselves and certainly for our toddler daughter the entire time we stayed.
The host was gracious but it didn’t make up for the dirtiness and age of the home.
- Cajara (8/5): Very good -
- Kelly (8/5): Value for money, clean and easy checkin - Great hosts, we were met at the location and shown around the property. It was fantastic that the host spoke English. She even emailed me some directions as I was unclear of some attraction locations and train lines. Nothing. It was a great property for the price. Short walk to station, park and convenience store.
- Richard (7/5): Spacious Hoise with a Friendly host! wifi was not good though. - Plenty of space. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Wifi wasn’t very good
- Ujjvala (10/5): Exceptional -
