- Alfred (9/5): Waking up and yoga with the mountain view and sipping my red wine in the evening with the sound of thunder coupled with - The host was very accommodating to my requests. I needed a yoga mat and she happily provided me one even if it’s not part of their facilities. Even if they forgot to pick me up on the station on time, it was all great because she was very apologetic and compensated the slight hassle with many other excellent services. Like making me coffee or breakfast even if it’s already beyond the cutoff time. She gave me excellent recommendations of places to check in the village for food and stroll. She even let me check-in earlier! Everything is pleasant and clean but they could probably need to periodically wash their curtains as they smell quite dusty.

- Phil (10/5): - Sehr sauber, super Ausblick auf die Berge. Sehr ruhige Umgebung. Das Bett und die Kissen war sehr groß und bequem. Aber am besten war das nette Personal welches sich sehr um uns bemüht hat. Wir haben über sie eine Bootsfahrt gebucht und es war günstiger und besser als alle online gefundenen. Zudem wurden wir hingebracht und alles für uns organisiert sodass wir nur reinlaufen mussten. Internet könnte schneller sein.

Les chambres sont très spacieuses et l'emplacement dans le petit village agréable. Loin du centre de Guilin, mais très facile d'accès avec grab ou un taxi. Le petit-déjeuner est un peu triste.

Есть бесплатные трансфер с вокзала, что очень приятно. Вид с номера на горы шикарный. Номера чистый, постель и полотенце белоснежное. Завтрак вкусный. Рядом есть смотровая площадка и пещера все в пешей доступности. До центра города 15-20 минут на такси. В следующий раз обязательно вернёмся, чувствовали себя как дома. - Ralf (10/5): Superb service and a very comfortable room in a nice location. - The guesthouse is located in a more quiet part of Guilin, but only a short taxi ride from the center and in walking distance of the reed flute cave. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the service is among the best I've ever had. The host took her time to help me plan my entire stay in Guilin including booking a river cruise and the bus ride to the docks. This made everything much easier and I got to make the most out of a few days. This will definitely be my go-to hotel for my next trip to Guilin. Nothing

La colazione inclusa molto buona, un piatto con varie cose dolci e salate e caffè. I gestori delle persone stupende, ci hanno aiutato in tutto, incluso per prenotare la crociera sul fiume Lì e lo spettacolo Impressions Liu Sanje, ci hanno prenotato un massaggio e ci sono venuti a prendere alla stazione del treno. Il giorno della crociera siccome dovevamo lasciare l’hotel presto per L’escursione, ci hanno fatto trovare la colazione pronta mezz’ora prima dell’orario canonico della colazione e ci hanno fornito bottiglie d’acqua per la giornata fuori. La camera viene sistemata e pulita giornalmente e sempre giornalmente vengono fornite bottiglie d’acqua. Si trova in una zona fuori da Guilin ma comunque vicina alla città (15 minuti in taxi) e la zona è molto tranquilla, si possono fare lunghe passeggiate e si arriva camminando alla Reed Flute Cave. Ci ritornerei sicuramente!! Molto consigliato! Tutto perfetto!

- WanderingJay (9/5): - The building is beautiful, located in a small old-style village on the bank of the river. It's very quiet at night. The views from the windows are beautiful, rooms are big and well furnished. The style of the building and the lobby is that of an old Chinese-style house, it has a cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and speak English and Mandarin. There's no lift - but that's understandable in that type of building. The staff helped me with my suitcases. The breakfast is very weak, two slices of toast bread, small plastic packet with butter (the one I got the second day was do old, it turned rubbery and was unedible). A few fruits and one fried egg - this one I only got the first day. I get it that they may not have a proper kitchen, but in if that's the case, they shouldn't offer a breakfast at all. It's also quite cold during winter season, no central heating - it's common in China, but important to note for those traveling in winter. No tea, coffee or even a cup to use in my room, but there was a kettle.

- Chien Chian (10/5): A warm, comfortable, and memorable family stay with exceptional hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and thoughtful serv - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Wonderful Family Stay – Highly Recommended** We stayed at **Guilin Qingshanshe Hotel** from **11th–14th December 2025** for our family vacation, and we truly loved every part of the experience. The hotel is **very clean, tidy, and well maintained**, and the surrounding **village area and natural scenery are peaceful and beautiful**, offering a relaxing atmosphere away from the city’s noise. Despite the quiet environment, the location is still very convenient — only a few kilometres from Guilin city, with **easy access via e-hailing services**. There is also a **popular local restaurant just 50–80 metres away**, which is very convenient. One thing we really appreciated was the **excellent hot water for showering**, especially during the cold winter nights when the temperature dropped to around **8–10°C**. This made our stay very comfortable. We would like to express our **special thanks to Ms. Xiao Bai**, the lady owner of the hotel. She is **extremely helpful, caring, and kind**. As we are not well-versed in the Chinese language, Ms. Xiao Bai assisted us greatly with communication regarding tourist matters and even contacted other hotels and parties on our behalf to help resolve our concerns. Her support made our trip much smoother and stress-free. We are also very thankful to the **auntie who prepared breakfast** every morning. She even **specially cooked a bowl of noodles for our boy**, which he loved very much — it was delicious and made with care. The **pick-up service from Guilin High-Speed Railway Station** was very convenient, and we truly appreciated the team’s help in **carrying our luggage up to the 4th floor and down again during check-out**. This was especially helpful for a family travelling with a child. Overall, we had a **wonderful and memorable stay**. - Cherry Rose (10/5): We had a great stay. - Beautiful and very clean hotel. Location is good, close to north railway station and to tourist attractions. The lady owner was very helpful. There was a marathon on the day we checked out and roads were closed from 8 am to 10 am, so we couldn’t get a taxi. She brought us to the railway station herself so we would catch our train. We are very thankful to her.

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet (vor allem die Doppelzimmer) das Familienzimmer war etwas kleiner als wir dachten, dennoch vollkommen ausreichend für 3-4 Personen und dafür mit einer großen Terrasse ausgestattet. Die Lage war auch sehr gut. Ruhig in der Nacht und dennoch nicht zu weit weg vom Zentrum. Absolut empfehlenswert 谢谢大家

The staff was really helpful, they help organize the Li river's cruise and even they helped us organize the trip to Longsheng rice fields with private driver. It was really good price for the service in comparison to GetYourGuide and also quality was perfect. They are really helpful and will go extra mile to make your stay better.

The staff helped us to make changes without extra charges because there is room available. The owner offered very good Pu'er tea on its beautiful tea table to share with guests. The staff made honest recommendation about restaurants in the village. I am extremely happy with my stay at Serene Vale Inn. There is a confusion about the name. I didn't get Chinese name of this hotel. So I spent some time at airport trying to find out the exact location. But with help of an English speaking tourist guard, I finally figured out.

- Ilaria (10/5): - La zona è leggermente in periferia rispetto al centro di Guilin, molto vicino alla Reed Flute Cave, molto tranquilla e caratteristica. Le stazioni di Guilin e il centro città sono raggiungibili in 15 minuti di Didi o motorino. Da che abbiamo capito la struttura offre anche noleggio dei motorini. I gestori fanno un pò fatica con l'inglese, ma ci si capisce. C'è anche la colazione che noi purtroppo non siamo riusciti a fare, avendo il traghetto/crociera per Yangshuo sul fiume Li alle 9:30, la strada in auto fino al molo Mopanshan per l'imbarco è di un'ora circa col traffico e gli ottomila semafori, bisogna arrivare almeno mezz'ora prima e la struttura ha come orari della colazione 8:00/10:00. Camere spaziose e molto confortevoli, la nostra aveva anche il balcone che ho sfruttato subito per stendere i panni lavati. Condizionatore ovviamente, necessario perché noi siamo stati a Guilin il 10 ottobre e c'erano 34°C. 😅 Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, soprattutto con gli sconti Genius.

Staff is very pleasant and serve standard breakfast items like fruits, veg dumpling, bread, jam, coffee etc., at the table. Same Breakfast repeats everyday. Breakfast only starts at 8AM which might be inconvenient when you are travelling on day tours or other package trips.

- adele (8/5): Good value stay - The staff were very lovely. Liked the free pick up from the station. Room was cleaned daily, free laundry. Breakfast was just ok (would be better if eggs were served hot and toast actually toasted 😝) Easy to take Didi to main Guilin area. Ease of hiring bikes. Nice short walk to cave. Excellent value really for the money. They do not speak English, have to use a translator- not sure why they put this in the heading… The town really hasn’t much there but is quiet. Be careful if you hire the electric scooters, ours ran out of charge 2 days on the trot so we had to get taxis back to the hotel. There is a great vegetarian restaurant if you are struggling with meat options (Nengren Vegetarian by the temple) 15 mins away by Didi.

- pierre (10/5): FONCEZ !!!!! - je ne sais pas si toutes les chambres sont pareils mais la mienne était exceptionnelle, immense avec une vue montagne et sans vis-à-vis. Le prix , j’ai été surpris que ce soit aussi peu cher pour cette qualité. Le personnel, si tous les hébergements pouvaient être comme eux ce serait le paradis pour le vacances, toujours au petit soin pour vous , une question, il s’occupe de tout, extrêmement attentionné et agréable surtout ne changez rien vous êtes parfait. La seule chose qu’il faut savoir si vous voulez absolument voir la rivière et ces montagnes que vous voyez sur les billets c’est à 1h40 de route donc c’est pas la bonne adresse mais c’est dommage car la vieille ville est magnifique avec ces remparts et les montagnes sont les mêmes que sur le billet . Je voulais juste préciser que je voyage en routard avec sac à dos ( si ça peut aider )

The hotel is on a small, very quiet island 20 minutes by car from the center of Guilin and 50 minutes from the port. Although the area is a little far from the center, it is very beautiful and is suitable for walking and taking a stroll.

A 3 minutos andado hay un restaurante que nos recomendaron en el alojamiento y estaba todo buenisimo. Platos chinos pero diferentes y elaborados. El alojamiento esta 15 minutos en coche del centro de Guilin. La habitacion era cómoda y el baño disponía de ducha como tal. Totalmente recomendable! No tiene ascensor

The location itself is stunning and made our stay even more memorable. One thing to note: they also offer tours, which we unfortunately didn’t know about in advance as we had already booked with another company. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended!
- Олександр (10/5): - I really recommend this hotel because the owner is very very friendly and always will help you in any cases - exchange money, make check in earlier, make a breakfast much earlier because you have the tours early at morning, or even to make a check out later just because you want to come after tour and take a shower before your leaving... Really would rather recommend this hotel because in the country like China - for sure you will need some help in some things, that can be fixed only by another chinese just because they know their country better than foreign tourists... 100/10

Habitación amplia y atención maravillosa, nos prepararon el desayuno recién hecho cada mañana y nos ayudaron muchísimo con las excursiones para adaptarlas a nuestras necesidades y horarios. Tanto el conductor como la atención en el hotel fueron increíbles. Absolutamente recomendable. La zona es muy bonita, muy cerca de Guilin con senderos para pasear y un restaurante de comida china muy rica.

Une attention vraiment touchante ! Bon petit déjeuner et tous les conseils pour découvrir les alentours. Juste à quelques pas il y a une belle balade à faire le long de l’eau. C’est un poil excentré mais tant mieux, ça éloigne de la foule et ça ramène une calme et le taxi depuis le centre touristique coûte 1,50euros!

The Vale Inn is located in a small quiet village and not far away from the city centre. Recommended place to stay in Guilin.

The route is very enjoyable incl famous mountain n water boat tour, visit to cave, Osmantus factory, rice terrace and tea plantation. I don't know how they manage in high season like August, we don't have troubles of crowds as they re so experienced to find qualified spots with much less tourists, so we enjoyed stunning beauty of Guilin/Yangshuo at much ease. Finally we made Chinese dumpling together. Hotel offers top service to our full satisfaction👍 by the way breakfast is delicious and healthy with exotic fruits❤️ Nothing

Petit déjeuner servi à table, copieux et de qualité. Très belle décoration des espaces communs et privés, et literie très confortable. Calme. - C. (6/5): Short stay 1 night - After complain about the dirty bed we got 2 rooms. They where very nice. The bed was dirty. All hair in and around the bed. Breakfast was just 1 plate with toast , egg and fruit.
- Sermolaev (10/5): Exceptional - It was a perfectly organized stay. We messaged the property via booking.com to get a transfer from train station and tours to Longji rice terraces and Li Cruise organized. Everything was duly noted and executed. We were picked up by the driver at the train station (it was a free pick-up included in the price because we stayed for 3 nights). Next day the driver took us to the docks and handed tickets for the Li Cruise. The other day English-speaking driver Peter picked us up and we drove to the Longji rice terraces. Before going to the terraces we cooked a bamboo rice and visited minority village. Also we had one more free day when we arrived, and the receptionist showed us the points of interest to visit in Guilin (lake with Pagoda twin towers, elephant trunk park, etc.). The staff does not speak any English but we were able to communicate fluently via WeChat (there is a built-in translator there), Google translate and other translator apps. So in general we had no communication issues. It was very hot in the room after we came in the evening because the air conditioner was switched off. There is no fridge in the room.

- Anna (10/5): Charming place to be close to the mountains - You can´t get any closer to the mountains, the view of the large glass window is magnificent. It´s a charming, rustic Chinese place. Rooms are very spacious, bathroom is also equally large. Large and comfortable bed. It seems to be a family run business, they couldn´t be more kind and helpful. Neighbourhood is peaceful and equally charming. Traditional constructions with red lanterns everywhere, several restaurants nearby. There is a river, a large park and a beautiful traditional bridge just some minutes away. Gulin may not be a choice for people with mobility issues but if happens to be the case remember to mention it, because the property has no lifts. Breakfast is good but simple. It´s not a buffet, a ready plate is brought to you.
- Mark (5/5): Great staff, workable room, but wouldn’t go back. - Good location. Friendly and super-helpful staff. They did not speak English, but that matters less nowadays with translate apps on everyone’s phones. Great breakfast. Nice view of the karst out the bedroom window. The rooms were not clean and very sparse. They did not look at all like the pictures I saw when reserving. The room had two beds, with one a bit stiff but workable. The other one had no pad on the box spring at all, and was as hard as a big sheet of plywood. The staff did not seem to understand that it needed at least a pad, but they instead provided another nearby room nearby, so it worked out.

- Simone (10/5): Amazing hotel with beautiful views over the hills and lovely owners - Amazing hotel with beautiful views over the hills surrounding Guilin in a lovely traditional and quiet area. The Western breakfast was great and the hotel even prepared a breakfast bag for us for our last morning as we had to leave very early in the morning to catch our flight. The hotel owners are very helpful and organised a driver and guide for us to take us to the places we wanted to see. The guide was great, gave us great advice regarding our itinerary and was really knowledgeable as well. There’s a nice restaurant just around the corner where we always went to in the evening for dinner. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
