Guest Reviews
- Colin (9/5): Great spot to stay for exploring NOTL - Property was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for a weekend in Niagara
- William (10/5): -
- Mechelle (8/5): Quiet neighborhood in between Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls. Nice place to call home while exploring the area. - Clean and well equipped There doesn’t seem to be any sound proofing. The sounds coming from the lower level made it difficult to sleep. You can clearly hear loud voices.
- J (9/5): 房间干净,厨房设施齐全,停车免费 - 房间干净,厨房设施齐全 没有洗衣机和干衣机

- Mark (8/5): Great Location - Very Convenient to wineries, eateries and NOTL. The amenities in the unit were great Only issue was the AC. This is a converted house and with the changes made to a multi unit, the AC thermostat is not located in the unit we stayed in. It was very hot. When the AC did operate it was better but not consistent. We did reach out to the owner but despite her best efforts to rectify, it was very hit or miss.
- Donal (10/5): Gwen is a very nice host. It felt like being home from home. - Great location and very well appointed apartment.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Brecht (1/5): Bad - In short:
The apartment was clean and looked nice, but poor communication and extreme noise ruined the experience. We had to deliver cash to the host's workplace, and check-in was via a neighbor. Loud long-term tenants , some in the cellar and others in the rooms next to us, made sleeping impossible, and no one took responsibility. Would not recommend unless you’re used to this kind of chaotic setup.
Long version:
While the apartment was visually appealing and clean, our stay was overshadowed by poor communication and uncomfortable circumstances. The advertisement stated cash only. The day before we arrive I got the message that I had to transfer the money to a Canadian bank account. We are Belgians and tried 3 different bank phone apps that did not work. The host then said it was ok to pay in cash, but the host apparently lives 45 minutes from the property and was not present at the checkin. Instead, we had to drive to her workplace to deliver the money — which would have been impossible without a rental car. After 24 hours of unclear or absent responses prior to check-in, we were already quite stressed.
We decided to pass at the house to see if it was even real and not a scam. I called the host again to ask if we could get the code to the house for my wife so she could start unpacking, before we headed on to the hosts workplace for payment. Suddenly we then had to give the money to a neighbor. The building is split into three or four separate units. The apartment itself was extremely noisy. Neighboring tenants in the cellar were loud well into the night. Loud kitchen noises until 3am from the siderooms from the other long terms. When we asked the girl next door whom we paid that cash (who acts as an unofficial middle person) to intervene, she told us they wouldn’t listen to her. She even looked somewhat scared to even go talk to them.
- Alexis (10/5): home away from home - Home away from home, gorgeous quiet location. host was very responsive and friendly. would highly recommend
- Susan (8/5): Lovely and clean, just needed A/C. - very clean and good location It was very warm in the unit and we couldn't find any A/C, only fans. Also, my cousin's bed had a plastic sheet underneath the covers so every time he moved it crinkled. He had a hard time sleeping because of this. My bed, in the "Jill" room was very comfy.
- Procak (8/5): Spacious apartment outside Niagara on the Lake. - Spacious living and kitchen spaces.
Bedrooms a good size. Bathroom well stocked. I found the stairs up to the door a little steep, perhaps a picture of them on the site would help
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful accommodation for a vacation. Clean, comfortable, quiet neighborhood. Great location. Would love to come back here on my next trip to Niagara.
- Mélanie (10/5): Great place. Quiet. Clean. Very well located. - Very clean. Very nice. Great location. Quiet. It was perfect! Nothing
- Birgit (10/5): Nice Suite - It is very clean and comfortable with modern furnishings. Located in a quiet neighbourhood with a small backyard. Close to wineries. The owner is very friendly and accommodating.
- Krista (10/5): Great location with everything you need! - It was a lovely, quiet neighbourhood, close to everything. The house had everything we needed and a great back yard!
